  • Welcome to HomeCraft Living!! (or should I say welcome back to the 200 NEW SUBSCRIBERS!!!) Two videos ago I thrifted these side tables for only $10 at my local goodwill. I have been itching to do a furniture flip and these pieces were a perfect pair to let my creative juices flow. How do you think they turned out? What would you have done differently? As always, thank you for watching and thank you so much for 200 subscribers!!! :)

I like the idea of the gold leaf. You need practice in your execution of it as I can see even with your camera, many spots that lacked coverage around those edges. Another tip? Don’t sand randomly…always sand WITH THE GRAIN to prevent the possibility of sanding marks/gouges from the sander. Those pieces are clearly from the ‘80’s-90’s. I can tell that from the “shell” outline on the front apron. To bring it into current date, I would have filled those routered designs with wood filler & sanded them smooth. I am a cabinetmaker & those are some of my suggestions for going forward.

Tables came out beautifully. You went through the trouble of sanding it completely, wonder what a paint wash would have looked like?

I want to learn to do more creative things. Flipping furniture could definitely be a thing for me. I'd love to do metalwork but with my coordination problems, it's too dangerous. Basic power tools should be okay. I'll start here

Yes, try it out! You have to start somewhere then you’ll learn what you do and don’t like doing

Great video super informative 😍. Any suggestions for people who want to get into flipping but can’t list on Facebook? I used to be able to but now can’t buy or sale on there :(

I would check out offer up in your area! They have a website and an app. It’s similar to and was around way before facebook launched the marketplace so there are still many people who use it :) Thank you so much for your feedback & wishing you the best on your flipping journey ❤️
