I have 2 Tibetan Tuxedos and one is so insanely friendly! We named him Tuck and he is just now finding is voice, in case we need to add food, fresh water and sand he wants to remind us. 🐥 I enjoy your content and have learned so much from it. Thank you!

The Tibetan tuxedos are my favorite. The ones I have only have white chests, but they were so cute as chicks and they got along very well. They are crossed now with Jumbos and still look beautiful.

except for the color , no one talks specificly about the tennessee red quail, I am raising them but i can not find much info about them, i would like a video showing how to incubate, what temperture and how long is the incubation, what is their weight as adults and what kind of eggs, also more about their nature and how long they lay and how long they live,, thank you...
That is a different species of quail like bobwhite so I do not have any experience with them I am sorry
Is Tibetan the same as Rosetta? If not, what is the difference?

What colors might make a black quail?
Most people calling black quail is actually a grau fee. A Grau fee is a Tibetan/Rosetta with the fee gene and makes it look almost black and if you breed Tibetan to Tibetan after a few generations they will be very very dark.

one of my chicks i thought was tuxedo it looks like tibettan with two small white spots any ideas? Most of my eggs from the tuxedo female is 12g if the eggs are a good weight would the chicks be stronger?
It most likely has the recessive white gene and the chicks will most likely hatch tuxedo
@@MyshireFarm cheers i was wondering do you use leg bands on the quail i put one on the older femal thinking would help me separate them easier but it fell off, was small clip on

Did you add new birds to an existing flock?
Space, genes, good, envy. I added space and places to hide, more feeders and even the most aggressive became cuties. Also adding new birds to the flock may at times arouse emotions. It is better to add a few than 1-2 of the same sex. My hens attacked a new big hen. My bigger birds both sexes seem to hate black birds both sexes, esp when kept in their houses. I do not keep my quail in cages but in wooden little houses in groups of up to 30 and with attractions such as shelves, boxes to sit in, stairs to run up or down, and they can see the outside throughout the front net. They bathe in an enclosed deeper space which has sawdust, ash, grit etc. But it is big enough for 20 quail to bathe whenever they want to. I keep smaller, weaker, attacked or in need of rest quail in a special little house. The males that are too many due to my experiments in trying to learn to hatch more females :) are running on the ground floor and they have the largest space because the old and new quail must have enough hiding places to avoid issues. They learnt to coexist. At times I put the most needy males into the regular house with my best quail to let them steam off. I do not plan to kill any. I let them live their little quail lives. Usually up to 3 years for now. I am thinking of keeping them free or semifree in my garden as an experiment. This way the potentially aggresive ones may have a chance to live on and still fertilize my garden. Some are way too beautiful to shorten their lives, even those territorial ones so I am trying to work on ways to keep both them and myself happy.
Food affects aggression and apathy too. Pay att to it. Birds love variety. I make my own mix . They like it better, and swallow soaked peas like the best treat at one gulp. Love from Poland!
