Lindsay is always remembered for mean girls but this role was so much more iconic 😭😭
I watched movies with an adult Lindsay, and every time I see the poster of the movie "Trap for Parents" I have tears in my eyes. She was a very sweet child
Babe I know every Lindsay Movie out of the top of my head.
@@cukushkatrap for parents lmao😂
@@itzl2124they don’t speak english so the title in their language probably doesn’t translate exactly to the english title
@@cukushkaParent Trap?
I LOVE how Lindsay plays EXACTLY how a mom would play.
She has natural talent since her debut in parent trap. There were times you could not believe Lindsay played 2 characters by herself.
The guitar solo never fails to give me goosebumps
Saame
Ikr!
Omg same! Lol
Cool fact, Jamie Lee Curtis learned guitar for this movie so it would look better.
Different note, Mark Harmon shows up in this movie as the fiance to JLC, then she appears years later on NCIS (season 9) as Gibbs’s love interest
Same
love how jake went from straight up hating anna from loving her just by hearing her play a guitar solo
Idk why but it only just occurred to me that Anna was 15?!!? An Jake is like AN ADULT
@@elenawoodruff7759 she was in 10th grade he was a senior
Lmfaooooo I always said this ! 😭
@@elenawoodruff7759 He was 2 years older than her 🤣
yeah I loved how that was the moment he was all of a sudden into Anna. But I mean, I kinda get it.
That beginning of the solo goes SO HARD, it always gives me chills
YESSSSSSS
And the ending was unmatched !
Dude yes. Just playing the bass along to that solo still gives me chills
I AGREE I LOVE ITT
Yes!
The fact Jamie Lee Curtis actually did that guitar solo will forever be iconic 💯🔥
She did it? Wow she is amazing
The directing is so good in this scene. Even though Anna drops hints she’ll take care of the solo, you’re still surprised when that hardcore rip from the guitar crashes in. The camera zoom on Lindsey’s face adds to the surprise, so freaking cool.
No but literally. Movies nowadays could never hold a candle to movies from the 2000s.
Right??? It was perfect! Makes you get chills. Watched this movie a thousands times and that’s my favorite part of the movie.
You can really tell the difference when directors took “teen” movies seriously versus when they didn’t!
The way the camera pans past Lindsey to the pitch black backstage, then suddenly the guitar rip comes in at the same time this flash of light illuminates Anna like a bolt of lightning… gives me chills so simple yet so effective
Literally lol really well said 🙌
this song is still fire 18 years later
Bruh 18 years ???!!!!
@@takemyshirtoffandsingtome2112 in 2023 this movie will be 20 years 🤧😭
I miss movies like these 😢 I also miss the old Lindsay Lohan…
@@Robert-qg3wt Yr kiddin
Still fresh after 20 years.
WHEN THE MOM DID THE SOLO OMFG I ALWAYS GET GOOSEBUMP ✨✨
U mean the daughter they switched body’s
@@kmannash5924 yeah logically speaking yeah the daughter but inside her mom's body. But seeing the mom rocking it aghhh
The mom?? You mean Jamie Lee Curtis
I read somewhere that both actresses learnt to play it irl
me too . that's so awesome
Fun fact, Ryan Shuck of Orgy actually taught Jamie Lee Curtis to play guitar for the movie and she herself is actually playing here in the scene.
And the fact she got the part a week before shooting.. she is awesome
Lol god I love Jamie Lee but I’m a Halloween fan
@@bluesky5384 same here!
@@Chris24_ That’s amazing! Totally here because this song popped into my head and was reminded of how amazing she is.
@@bluesky5384 she’s the definition of an icon ✊🏻
I love her friends face glaring at her like “sis what the fuck!?”
so why isnt this on spotify
bruh spotify is a disgrace for not having this
There are two covers of the song on spotify. Search up take me away (freaky friday) by LO LA and take me away by Aquadolls. Not as good but if you want something instead of nothing I guess it's an option??
@@mariannek6735 yeah but you have to admit this is the one that hits the gardest
@@janette3516 Oh yeah, definitely, no doubt about that!
@@Vampybattie thanks!
This song had no business going this HARD. And the scene was shot so perfectly too. Always gives me chills, always such a thrill.
Back when Disney had superb songwriters in films 👏🏾🔥
@@Sonshine70s Awesome! Soundtrack was amazing for this music
It's a Cover from Lash, Disney improves the song with the solo
@@CarlomarioVenturo The whole soundtrack is great tho 👏🏾👏🏾
This song is not written by Disney. It is a cover version of an Australia band called "Lash".
lmao disneys songwriters didn’t write this tho… its a cover
The audience must be really gullible to think she was actually playing that solo. Her fingers were all over the place 😂
It's the joke
It’s a movie
It’s possible that most of those people were high
It's a movie.
My thoughts everytime i see this🤣🤣
My favorite part in the entire movie! Her face when the guitar solo came 😳 that was amazing!
That's great acting from her part. It conveys that the mom finally believes what her daughter was all about and shockingly acknowledging her talents, so far she never cared for her band. Now she has a new respect for her. It is amazing cuz Lindsey really looked believable as mom.
This is the best part of the movie!! They finally understand “selfless love”
When she realize how talented her daughter is
@@brittanysegraves511stfu 😭😭😭I’m literally crying that is really sweet I didn’t even think about it
@@TdottttttI love this! You really made me realize this just now….
The face her “mom” made was like, “oh shit, that’s really something”
2:04 is a core childhood memory
That massive opening to the solo is unforgettable
I loved how Tess finally realized how great Anna's music is.
Tess: Your music is exciting
Anna: So it's not noise
Tess: Most definitely not noise
Makes me wonder what the rock legends *(alive and dead)* would think of this scene...
Seriously this is one of the best technically filmed and edited sequences. From the the steadycam shots to make you feel dizzy to the pan around reveal to the close up of Jamie Lee ACTUALLY playing the solo. Its so well done.
You’re right. Love someone that can point out the artistry and make me appreciate it
omg Jamie Lee Curtis absolutely ROCKED this scene !!!
Literally
Can’t believe this movie is 20 years old, such an amazing movie
I remember being 14 and seeing in the theater when it first came out. I’m so old! 🤣
i feel silly saying this scene brought me to tears watching it again now after only seeing it when i was a kid, because as a kid it feels like a fun/funny movie, and as an adult its a beautiful story about a mom stuck in her ways, frustrated because she is unable to relate and connect with her daughter, and a daughter who is lost and doesnt realize how much she really needs her mom as well, and this scene really bridged the gap between their mother n daughter relationship, i love this movie
This and the toast scene at the wedding rehearsal 🥺🥺🥺
is it normal that this comment makes me wanna cry? XD
@@javierazb1061 nah you’re good
I always loved this movie, this song and scene particularly. It popped in my mind literally 5 minutes ago, listened and my 30 year old emotions got the best of me... I cried too lol. Super relatable movie.
I agree 👍
Jamie Lee Curtis is so underrated , she’s phenomenal. She and Lindsay are so great in this movie.
I’m really disappointed that Apple Music didn’t put this song
@Ks I’m so happy for her🎉❤
Now you can find a super cover of the Altar , take me away, search it on CZcams
Whoever wrote the songs to this movie should've received an award. I miss being a kid. I loved this movie. The nostalgia makes me emotional
This is a cover of a band named "Lash" and Disney never gave any credits.
Having the surprise of the mum absolutely shredding the guitar makes me smile every single time. One of the best movie moments ever
as a musician, the sound is so accurate. You can only hear one guitar playing in the first parts before JLC rocked. Unlike the garage version of this where you can see Lindsey and the other chick both play and it sounds heavier with 2 guitars. I love the accuracy of the sound
The way Lindsay/Anna smiles and starts to pretend playing the the guitar at 2:13 always makes me smile 😊
THIS SCENE MAKES CRY EVERYTIME OH MY GOD!!! Jamie Lee Curtis is a literal gift, if the world is ever good it’s because she’s in it!! I wish that guitar solo were as good in the studio recorded version as it is in the movie, the studio recording sounds so flat.
Jason agrees too. 😄
I cry too.. Its a Wonder full movie but this partes gaves me goosboomps all the time.. Its so cool..
I cry too all the time when I watch this scene
i LOVE Jamie's cocky expression while shes jamming out! fave part of the whole movie
Omg the way she was waving her hands back and forth 😆.
such a mom thing to do😂
im in 2024 still trying to process how amazing the guitar solo is
2:00 I love this scene that the vocalist friend is giving her a signal like “pleeeaaasseee Anna” and then perfectly nailed it by her mom
Man they would be a blast to see live
They sooooooooooo would be
02:05 .. the look in her eyes screams: my daugther is so amazing and talented .. i was wrong all along
02:02
@@jodaorve not all heros wear capes
this scene makes me cry. you can just TELL the relief & trust they showed in each other. ❤️
I had such a crush on the singer as a kid 🤣
Same here lol, it’s Christina Vidal, aka Tiana if you remember the show from Nick in the early 2000s.
The fact that is actually Jamie Lee Curtis who plays the solo makes this way better
2:05 that beat drop, that stunned turn of head.
Getting real tired of the realistic and alien movies which we get now.
Why are they not making movies like this anymore 🤷🤷🤷
This 👆🏼
Because Covid changed everything I wanna start making music like this and Avril, idk I think is punk pop I’m not sure but yea!
@@andria8279 Honey, movies went downhill before Covid was a thing.
Every time I watch this movie, during that solo, my nerves always say, “I get those goosebumps everytime”
@1:54 the suspense as jake looks at her, when anna starts shredding, her face.. what a good ass scene
Why do I cry like a baby during this scene....so poignant how both came through for each other...great movie
That guitar solo is awesome
I never thought that one of the most famous guitar solos ever would be performed by a fictional rock band rather than a real one until I saw this film
i love seeing jamie lee curtis singing "never ends!" at the final
Jamie Lee Curtis is such an ICON!!!! That guitar solo gives me GOOSEBUMPS!!!’ Love this movie so much and this song is just 🔥
Jamie ATE THIS
1:48 this cinematography captures the anxiety very well up to the point that Anna in her mother's body saved her from shame. That was awesome
I hear the guitar solo in my mind all the time lol it’s iconic lol
not only the solo, but Jamie's performance makes that scene epic
never getting over the INCREDIBLE SOLO
Lindsay Lohan was an amazing actress! Still one of my favourite celebs from my childhood!
Yes her Amanda Bynes and hilary duff.
@@ronekasimpson YES! My entire bedroom growing up was only Hilary duff posters hahahaha
The way the guitar is amped at 2:37 ❤️🔥
frickin’ awesome!
The little jump at the end of the solo!
2:03 is the moment you're looking for. Really cool solo
These two actress did a fantastic job. I really think they swapped bodies 😂 and this solo is even after almost 20 years one of the best solos. I am often looking out for this scene 😎 really miss those movies
I miss these days, my teenage years . I loved her movies, i love Lindsay so much ❤😢
Holy F****,I'm old and still gives me goosebumps, just like when the movie came out(was 14 back then).
OMG JAMIE LEE CURTIS ROCKED THE SOLO FRIGGIN LOVED IT
The songs in this movies had absoluly NO business being this GOOD!
oh god the anxiety of this scene is palpable and only grows and grows and grows until the first riff of the guitar solo kicks in and lunsay is snapping her head to the side, eyes wide. brilliant pacing
i would pay billions to see this live
But you don't have billions 😂
@@JinhuoXiChina 💀💀
"I saw The Stones once!"
"Great, Now go out there & act like Keith!"
"Keith"
"RICHARDS, MOM!"
"I Knew that!"
Lindsey's mom energy in this scene I can't😂
When I saw this movie when I was little, I never knew who were The Rolling Stones either. Now that I'm a fan of rock, I'm just confused on who's alive and who's dead in that band *(But I do know Charlie Watts is dead)* .
This was my favorite movie when it first came out. Back then it seemed like Lindsay was about to rule the world
I always tear up at the solo
I thought it was just me who felt like crying, so glad it's not just me
" Ok , I saw the Stone once "
" Great , go out there and act like Keith "
" Keith ... yeah right "
" RICHARDS MOM "
Love it !
Gets even better when she does the moves from ACDC's guitarist 😂
“I knew that!” 😂😂😂😂😂
you guys need to put this on spotify
My childhood has been reignited
I consider myself to be a man of true grit, having served as a correctional officer for 20 years. I’ve been through and seen some horrible things that I wish I could unsee. I’m tough as nails I can assure you. But this scene melts my heart every time I see it. Seriously… it brings tears to my eyes. Who would’ve thought? 🤷♂️
LOVE THIS!!!
i dont know why but this song is randomly stuck in my head for a few days now so here i am finally giving in and listen to it😂
When this iconic scene randomly pops in your end and you search for it. Lindsay and Jamie's performances are so stellar in this. One of my favourite Disney movies ever from the 2000s era.
BEST ICONIC SCENE EVER MADE ON DISNEY, AND BEST SONG EVER TOO.. THIS IS JUST THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE LIFE
Why does this scene make me bawl though
literally
It's like the memory of how much I loved this song and movie as a kid floods back and I get so emotional
They had whole A-list worthy guitar solo in a Disney movie
Jamie Lee Curtis totally owned this movie. I just loved her so much in it. And the dynamic with Lindsay was great.
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SCENES FROM THE MOVIE
This song is my spirit animal.
Th at solo sounds so sick
I laugh so hard when she takes her hands off the guitar to wave with the crowd hahahaha so iconic
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are so underrated in ths film. They both did a perfect job portraying two very different roles.
This rocks!
I loved this movie so much as a kid - just recently rediscovered it and it still ROCKS! I don’t know why this scene has me literally tearing up on the bus as I’m watching it now, it’s like it unlocked a core memory of how good life was in the early 2000s as a kid. Also, I LOVE JAMIE LEE CURTIS SO MUCH
I wish this was on spotify
I love love love that hard strum she does at the end of the guitar solo at 2:28, actually gives me chills. I wish it was included in the official audio recordings of this version of the song
Actually never realized how the solo is played a little different in this compared to the studio recording of it.
Also, that tone cutting through and completely overpowering the mix is what every guitar player dreams of, but wont ever have xD
2:52 😂 the mom style dancing
I love the realization the mom (as Lindsay) had when she realized that her daughter did in fact have a lot of talent
God tier
This is a song that is embedded in us forever
This song slaps so hard for a disney movie song.
My moms husband used to watch this by himself in the room and would beat off when this song/scene would come on. Brings back great memories. 😊
Best Song of all songs created by a Disney Film.
This song is not original from disney it was from a female band called Lash
That solo is nothing but INSANE, OMG!
this scene was one of the best scenes to ever exsist, i mean honestly i love how much they worked together in this scene and how tess went out there and acted and performed as if she was anna and i love how that shows their trust in each other and how they realized that they can work together and rely on each other
Forever my favorite part! Second favorite is Chad Michael Murray singing outside of the window 🤣
This is Lindsey’s best movie idc 😂🎉 so hilarious and the music is great lol
this is badass
Fun fact: Jamie Lee Curtis actually learned the guitar solo just for this scene. 2:04
I believe it she was not faking that shit! Brilliant 😂🎉
@@traceymalone6968😂😂 I know right!!
