    We currently offer four different models of 20 Ton Press Brakes. Our brakes slide right into the Harbor Freight 20 ton Press, and work in most others as well. Check out the video for the differences and capabilities of our 100% American Made Brakes.

    I am impressed. Now, how about a sheer attachment?

    Quirky but cool vid. I use my standard 20t brake almost daily for production parts. I am looking at the 40" 50t model now.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't another disadvantage of the HD model (besides a larger minimum radius bend) be that you could not bend smaller sized flanges like you show on the bandsaw table? If the flange lip does not span across to rest on both edges of the 3" angle opening, then you wouldn't be able to bend that flange correct? And since the 3" angle opening would be approximately 4.75" wide, wouldn't that mean you could only bend a tab that is at least 1/2 that size or 2 3/8"? And putting a smaller piece of angle inside the 3.5" angle doesn't change that limitation? Or is there a method to bending smaller flanges on the 3" HD model? If so, could you make a video showing that?

      You are correct. For applications where the material does not span the entire bottom tray, we recommend our Flat Top assembly. It is easily adjustable for bends that require a smaller leg than what the bottom die is typically capable of.

    Nicely done video. Makes it easy to understand the press brakes. Did you add the two extra return springs on the jack?

    • @Swagoffroad
      @Swagoffroad  Před 5 lety

      Thank you, we appreciate that! And the extra two return springs you are seeing come on the Harbor Freight 20 Ton Air over Hydraulic bottle jack, Item #95553 or #69593. Those Rams are Great. They are reasonably fast and seem to hold up well.
      Thanks again,

    Are the blades chromoly? Standard carbon steel? If standards steel is it hardened?

      Hello,
      Thank you for your interest in our products.
      The Dies are made out of 1018 Mild Steel. That's really all you need for bending flat materials but we do recommend against bending round bar or rebar.
      Let us know if you have any other questions.
      Thank you,
      SWAG Off Road

    Can you shear with that flattop? Or do you make a shear?

    • @Swagoffroad
      @Swagoffroad  Před 5 lety

      Sorry but you can't shear with the Flat Top, but it does a phenomenal job at making tight radius bends. We currently do not have a shear available.
      Thanks for the inquiry,

    how can i retrofit for a pump to actuate the jack

    • @Swagoffroad
      @Swagoffroad  Před rokem +1

      I would just recommend picking up a 20 Ton Air/Hydraulic Jack. Your local Harbor Freight might still have them in stock, if not Big Red makes a jack that will fit the Harbor Freight Shop Press but you will need to drill holes in the base that you can use to bolt the jack into the press.

    How did you make bench top.

    • @Swagoffroad
      @Swagoffroad  Před 4 lety

      The Flat Top is made of 1/2" thick steel, with two laser cut plates made of 3/8" steel on top. The top plates can be adjusted by unscrewing the 5/16" screws on top.
