The chords are slow and mellifluous and it's the perfect key. On a lyrical level, the words seem personally carry a deeper meaning on depression, an analogy for it. It's a lot like color decay in a state of emotional depression, and recovering from it is a lot like waking up and seeing beauty and colors, and realizing that everything matters and seeing the truth, and being free from depressions lies.
