I think I have a new favorite hummingbird. The Black-Hooded Sunbeam just might be more dazzling than the Snow Capped. The Black-throated Thistletail is adorable and its song is bright a sweet. You are amazing, so many incredible places to photograph over 200 different kinds of hummingbirds. Thank you for bringing these little jewels into our lives.

Great effort but I think you are using the wrong lense to shoot these beauties I know it will be a challenge but for small birds like the hummingbird only a macro lens will do justice to this marvelous creature the telephoto lenses that you were using only gives us a hazy glimpse of this wonderful bird Great Effort once again to you and your team keep these great videos coming
I certainly get what you are saying, but the problem with some of these birds in that when we see them they are very far away. I even have trouble getting a picture with a 300mm telephoto.
HELP! I have a question, after the hatching how many days does the mother hummingbird spends the night in the nest with the babies? A violet eared had her babies 12 days ago but for the first time she's not sleeping in the nest and I afraid that if they're alone they could die. She did feed them all day though. It's cold and rainy where I live. Please let me know if this normal behavior

This is normal. Once the babies can regulate their own body temperature, mom stops sitting on them at night.
