You’re completely right on boring being entertaining. I adore your plant chore videos! I guess because they are laid back and relatable.
The plant room look amazing! Nice job!

The room really looks great! I am still so in awe of your effort in building the plant wall. I started to collect plants in early 2019 (I believe similar to yours) , and I found your channel shortly after. As a result, almost all of the topics you covered are very relevant to my plant journey. I love your style of videos, relaxed and informative at the same time. Good luck to everything!

I also water my plants in the sink. When I give them a good soak I can go a lot longer in between waterings. Been doing it for years, my plants seem to love it.

I HATE dealing with humidifiers and usually fill them once a season then throw my hands up. This winter I bought two new ones and it’s been a game changer. So easy to fill and crazy easy to clean. They are the “toppin top fill” on amazon. Love them. I just fill a jug and carry the jug to the humidifier instead of lugging the humidifier to the sink. Cant get over how nice the plant room looks. So stinkin pretty.

I am obsessed with the vibes that come off of the plant room. All of the neutral colors in that room are so calming!

  • @laurawelsh-davidson4844

Lovely video! I have about 80 plants and I do not water them in place either. I actually water all my plants with the water I drain out of our aquariums. I take everything to the dining room table and water my plants inside old lettuce and mixed green plastic containers from the grocery store. It catches the runoff and then I just keep reusing it until everything is done and put all my plants back when they have dried out. Works great for me. But we take them all out and look at them and inspect for pests.

My husband installed a water filter that attaches under the kitchen sink. It was only $70 and it’s good for 2 years. I use that for all my plants, humidifiers, cooking, and dishes. If you wouldn’t give it to your plant, I wouldn’t cook with it either. I put my wet stick trays on a heat mat and have leaves pop up in 1-2 weeks.

I love your plant wall! I can’t go up a wall like that because I’ll fall off the ladder, but I could do one or maybe two rows that are easily reached. I might try that if I can figure out the lighting. I know what I’d like to do but it wouldn’t fly with the husband. Oh your giving me more ideas! Thanks Becca ☃️❄️💚🙃

You should drill a hole thru the back of the cabinets and run an extension cord or something so that you can push them back flush but still plug something in!

I love using a couple wash basins (1 to water in and 1 to drain in) and watering can to water. It’s kind of like a sink but more mobile. I have plants all over my house so it’s nice to be mobile.

Hi, just unsolicited advice, but I’ve started wet stick props in sphagnum moss and I’ve noticed when you kinda bury the nodes/sticks in the moss, it grows roots faster! I’m thinking it softens the node thangs and roots emerge. I have no idea what I’m talking about but this has worked for me. 🤗

Just a suggestion, buy a distiller off of amazon to use for your plants/humidifier..it'll save you a lot of money instead of buying/delivering filtered water.

I absolutely love my Aircare that is supposed to do a 2k sq foot house but my apartment is 750 sq feet and I fill it every four or five days. It uses a wick and it’s so efficient it’s crazy! My plants obviously Love it! It keeps it a consistent 55 % humidity even with a window open. The wicks do cost money but still worth it.

  • @lilymeowington9395

I water all my plants at my sink too - for the most part. I do have some big plants I don’t move and just have to soak throughly and dry to dump the saucer) A rolly cart would help moving a bunch of plants at a time to the kitchen.
Edit: Omg I need to get a turkey baster for my large plants that I can’t move!! I usually spill water everywhere 😂

@@dainaaudette7523 I don’t know why I ever thought of doing that. Some of my large plants are in like flimsy dollar store trays that bend when you try to move them, spilling all over 😂

Your green wall inspired me to do the same when it comes to the wooden boards with pot hooks, rather than a typical shelf. I have essentially no light so I'm going to have a shelf above with grow lights attached, keeping the plants happy.

If I was going to make a watering bench without water attached I would just put a large basin without a hole and make it removable so when I was done watering I could just dump all the water out into the sink at once

You don't use tiny saucer trays be it plastic or silicone to just place underneath wall plants on rack ? You do have to dust them off so you'll have to move them often enough . Have you ever seen those metal inserts for metal counter top in kitchen's something like that concept ?
Cup holders for plant pots basicly .
