Thanks to you guys I’ve been around the world a few times and ridden hundreds of trails. After three years of riding, I can say without a doubt that Sentiers du Moulin in Lac Beauport is my all time favorite place to ride. Holy moly, I truly hope you make it there some day.

My ride didn’t record for this, but it’s pretty simple, just climb to the top, hit a trail, climb to the top, hit the next trail:
- Super G ◆
- Léon ◆
- Viking ◆◆
- LBC2 ◆◆◆
- King Kong ◆◆◆ (extra credit, not featured in the video)

Thanks for showing our trail to the world Brian! That "merci!" was perfect too!
Haha thanks!
And the TABARNAK too 😂😂
A technique I learned for features I found "too scary" in Quebec - was to have a local Quebec person (or 5) who is about 15 years younger than me - trail slightly behind yelling, "just f-ing go - don't stop; just go...!!!"
That got me over several things I would never have done on my own.
And - you are right: this past few months I rode: Ontario, Nova Scotia, Squamish, Revelstoke, Alberta - and the best (very best) was Sentiers du Moulin; Bromont and Valee Bras du Nord.
Hahaha that's great!!
Haha totally!
Here is to getting Nova Scotia on the come up. We have a ways to go, but we will get there!
@@hellishHAYDE Encourage the owners of Cape Smokey to carve a trail.
NS needs a dozen or so hard core diggers.
@@brucemacneil So Vic park is more my area, but we are really making ambitious goals, we have everything it takes to become a destination, including 2000 new untouched acres of land. The only unfortunate thing is the general lack of elevation. If you happened to ride the Hostel in Wentworth, thats the only place that is kinda enduro Ive been.
Ben Cathro!! Nice!! Without a doubt the most awesome “guest” you’ve ever had on your channel. EXTREMELY underrated CZcamsr.
I totally agree!!!
Was really hoping you'd try that drop, and you did! Hell yeah dude!
Weeee!
Great job on that drop! That's one of my favorite moments of any CZcams mountain bike channel, ever....seriously. There's no better feeling than getting over those mental hurdles! 👏🏻🤘🏻
Respect for the jump Brian! Especially because it was the third attempt, which is only building up the pressure. Respect!
I’ve watched maybe a dozen or so of your videos and am absolutely loving your content. I love how you show things that are a bit intimidating for you, but you keep pushing and go for it! Loved seeing you crush that drop and the support from Ben was awesome. Your enthusiasm just puts a smile on my face and makes me want to try a trail.. not just yet but I’ll get there!! Thank you!!
10:43 YAY! I was cheering for you! 👏🏻🙌🏻
Seriously...I don't know if it matters to the Quebec tourism, but YOUR videos would absolutely make me want to go ride these trails over Whistler, and UNTIL your video last year, I wouldn't have ever known Quebec had this much greatness. What YOU ARE DOING by bringing these videos to us, is helping people be able to maximize their fun on their trips. For someone who loves jumps and that's what they ride for, there's no reason to go to MOAB. Just like for someone who loves flow and XC trails, Whislter would be a letdown.
The difference here is mostly HAND CUT greatness that is meticulous, and takes advantage of the NATURAL terrain, with some sprinkled in man-made features. To me, it's more compelling to ride this than machine cut flow trails, and I greatly prefer this type of trail riding. Is there a time and place for shuttled bike park laps, ABSOLUTELY, but for me....it's to develop skills to ride THIS type of trail!! Second...LOVED SEEING YOU conquer the demons at the 10:35 mark! YES! I had this feeling you were going to hit that, and after you saw how Ben used the modern technique for small drops, that seemed to really raise your confidence. And third...DANG, seeing Cathro throw around that E bike and make it look playful was pretty incredible. If you hadn't told us it was an E bike before the runs, from "trail cam view" I wouldn't have known, because of how playful he was making it look. Knowing it up front...I could see him struggling a bit to get lift on his hops, and over exaggerating them, but on the whole...very impressive. ALSO.....VERY classy on his part not to "big time" you, and be super patient and helpful. That dude jumped up a few notches in my book after watching this!
Another CLASSIC BKXC video. It's RIGHT in your lane, and I was entertained the entire time by you showing the triumphs and the fails. GREAT JOB on this one!
Thanks so much dude, I'm glad you liked it so much!
@@bkxc .... I was trying to figure out what it is about your videos that is compelling, and it's that you show the good AND the bad, and see the humor in things. It also helps that you're willing to walk around talking to a camera in public, which is likely viewed as some sort of freak show by anyone who doesn't MTB. :-)
Hey BKXC, you have inspired me to start riding and I love it. It’s an amazing feeling to get up early in the morning and start to ride. Thx so much.
Edit: Holy s*** he liked my comment. I'm stunned
Those trails look sick! So cool that you got to ride with Ben and Phil. Love both their channels.
Hahahaha! I'm not even going to watch this. The title alone is all the b.s. I needed to see! N E X T !!!! 😎🍁
I'm so proud of you for doing the drop!! It always helps to have that friend there with you to support you whether you do it or not. And then running into Phil! What a fun day!
Glad I got it!!
Your struggles encourage me to try! Thank you BKXC!
That drop explanation was one of the best I've seen. Nice work Ben Cathro.
Love seeing ALL of you out there, some of my favorite people and channels!
Watching the video.... Brian "i wanted coaching!". Me thinking, my mtb dream coaches, Ben Cathro, Phil Kmetz and Bryn Atkinson. And bloddy hell!!, Phil shows up!!. Freakin awesome!

A love the humble way you present yourself on this videos ! So genuine ! No bs!
Ben Cathro AND Phill Kmetz! What a fortuitous coincidence! My daughter and I met Phil at Thunder Mnt a few weeks ago. Super nice guy.
Great video. Your audio brings another quality to your videos. Hearing the great time you're having is just perfect.
Brian brother, I was so happy for you that you made that drop. I am fighting that battle with my head. I know I can do it. I have use that same technique on smaller jumps so I know it works. happy that you got it. God bless.
Thanks dude!
Yes Brian! I felt your elation when you hit the feature. Good on Ben for inspiring confidence 💪🏻 Chris.
Awesome you went for it, you did do break some mental barriers. Cool Ben is screaming together with you throughout the trail, was fun seeing! Did see at 16minutes you got kind of tired, but that's okay.... another day to come! Awesome video, thnx for sharing
Awesome ride with Ben, you can tell it is a great trail when you are laughing all the way down!
Congrats on doing the drop. I felt like I was doing it myself, watching your attempts. I was so stoked you did it. Great video.
It's great seeing you get more confident and going faster, good job dude
Wild rides Brian, crazy fun trails out there for sure. Super stoked when you sent that drop! I am 200% sure you can send anything man but, mental barriers are a big pain in the ass. Keep shredding Brian!!

Looks like such a sick day riding, glad you conquered some of those SDM features!
One step at a time! Hopefully I just roll through it next time!
Supid
Just came back from a ride, and Ben's tip for clearing drop-offs was immensely helpful. (I've heard it before, but his phrasing and demonstration made it click.) Thanks for eliciting it from him! And a great vid all in all. Rest assured: your excitement is shining through clearly.
He's a bike coach so he has golden words of wisdom
I really didn't want that video to end. Great job again.
Thanks!!
Nice job on that drop! Glad you did it! I like the three times you’re out idea when rolling up to features

Awesome video, as always. Congratulation 🎉🎊🧨 conquering your demons on that drop! 🤘😎
Great riding, top job following ben and well done for hitting that drop, that must of boosted you're confidence :)
I couldn’t take him serious wearing those dress pants. But his skills made up for it. You did well too Brian. I’ve only ever hiked in Quebec. Always wished I had my bike with me when I went. Awesome terrain.
Brian, another great production! I love the nervous/having the best time of my life laughter. Ride on!
Hahaha yes! thanks dude
Great riding. Was buzzing for you after that drop. Ben earned a subscriber as well, very impressive!

I have returned to mtb spring 2020 and was then watching your videos. I now realize that I rode Super G like you, it is my first black trail. Thank you for sharing this, it helped me a lot. 2021 will be a strengthening year, 2022 will be a Ripmo year :)
Great job at the 10min drop. I was cheering.

Steven Merrill if you want to get food at riding a bike watch 50to01 and other pros
Thanks man, welcome to the wild sport of MTB!!
You are no joke my favourite CZcams you’ve really succeeded in life
Thanks so much!
Good job with those drops, Brian! Good job, indeed!
I couldn't even handle some big rocks in the tarmac while riding the bicycle. 😨 Downhill riding is pure talent..♥️♥️😍
That looked unbelievable! Amazing!
It's the bomb dot com!
Title is a bold statement!
Maybe someday I'll be able to compare them myself. Great vid as always Brian!
Once again a very enjoyable video, buddy.
Just ordered my first MTB today... so stoked to pick it up (hopefully within a week). This video has me HYPED!
Such a great episode 👍
I actually cheered out loud when you did that drop. Lol always pushing. Nice work!!
Hell yes!!
Nice job on the drop. Such a mental game. Proud of you.
Thanks Kris!
Okay i just passed the drop part and had to pause to say this.
First of all, hell yeah man!! That feeling of clearing something for the first time is amazing!
Second of all, pleaseee go ride some bikepark. You've said it in the past, you don't like them. But they will improve your trail riding soo much. You have different sized features to build up confidence and you learn to judge speed depending on size. All of a sudden that opens up 4 different lines in one trail rather than just the main line.
Man you've got the skills, its just commitment and confidence. Keep shredding man
10:38 man Brain nearly yelled in my seat at work when you made that jump :D contrats on that :)
Haha awesome
Great to see Ben pop up in one of your vids! Mans a legend! It always fascinates me how riders like Ben can throw the bike around effortlessly. It's a style I try to achieve, but look like a fish flopping on dry land! 😂
Congrats on the drop mate, nailed it!
Thanks Carl!
Awesome to see you both riding together Ben is one of my fave CZcamsr! Liked and Shared as always Brian!
Thanks dude!!
Nicely done pushing yourself at 10:35!! Always helps having a pro for a coach :)
Hell yeah! I gotta ride that drop, the sketchy turn in is the best.
So good to see you send that drop!
So technical beauty trails! I want it, now! 😭
Nice Brian! 🙌🏼🤩 made that drop 🤙 onwards and upwards 🔥
Congrats on hitting that drop! Those things are more a matter over the mind.
On my Bucket List for sure!
A great squad - Very cool!
Great Video B, You made that drop look like nothing. cool !
The chuck of mud that free at 7:39 lol
Superbe... Fantastique... Tirés bien... La Bell Provence never dissapoints
Nice drop. Keep ask those questions. I’m learning too.
Looked like some awesome shredding...
Well done man! You got that!
Another amazing ride thumbs up idol 💪
I like Ben’s 3 try rule, though it usually takes me 4. Nice job on the drop!
Congrats on overcoming your fear of that drop! Hell yeah, dude!
Absolutely amazing trail system out that way. I have relatives out that way...thinking I should pay them a visit next summer and accidentally bring my bike with me. Thanks for posting!!
Do it!!
Nice to see you hit that drop around 10 minutes in! I've been watching your channel for several years now and the progression is apparent. I have very similar fears - drops and jumps get in my head in a big way. Seeing you hit progressively larger features helps get me motivated. I need to just get out and session some stuff and build up my technique and confidence.
Thanks dude!
Nice job Brian !
Oh, I plan to go there one day 🇨🇦
Just went there today and it was insanely more difficult than I thought. It was my first time at a bike park
