The fact that you think only online multiplayer games hold relevancy over time shows your ignorance on the subject. Great games will be talked about and compared to decades later. Half Life Alyx is already irrelevant because it's a VR gimmick that's lackluster in every way beyond novelty. It was a half assed effort to push Valve's Index and it shows.

People use it so they don't get sick. If you get sick easy in VR, you don't have much of a choice. I'm not sure if they'll ever solve that problem since it's just your brain reacting to movement when there isn't any, like getting car sick.

@@tucci06 There's a solution to it that everybody can do: Once you feel sick, immediately get out of VR and come back in once all your symptoms are gone. If you keep doing this, you'll eventually never get sick from smooth locomotion.

there are so many little details in this game that he skipped past, the physics in this game are insane
It’s like boneworks but toned down until it’s not janky. I do think they could have added smooth turning and head physics too though. Jumping would be cool.

guys i played alyx in vr and i was sick after one step with continuous movement, xqc played whole game for us
Just to let you know chat he cant see the yellow hud its a spectator setting he can turn off. Also he is going way to fast the yellow buttons puzzles people usually take an hour and he makes it there in 40 mins, he is not exploring the environment and it will hurt him.

when straightening the cable. remove your headset and rotate it to straighten cable. if bad. save game and close vr and disconnect 12v and then disconnect brake point and straight the cable. When I play long sessions I try to also rotate other way. I think there was program in turn signal program Steam that shows and warns when you need to turn other way to straighten cable.
