I didn’t break mine in at all I beat on it since 2 miles on it😂😂 I’d recommend 500 miles though really 300 should be good but to be dafe

Summer tires are not to be used in temps under 50°F. Sticky all seasons will work. Pirelli all seasons grip well. Had them on my 2019 5.0 A10 and the car ran 12.2@115 stock, vs most stock runs of 12.5 sec or so.

I hit 5.7 on cold tires in 40 degree weather without L/C in a manual. I haven't really tried to do launches, now is not a good time of the year for me lol.
Without a tire these cars don’t seem to hook up well😂 I’m sure with better weather and a tire even if you’re bone stock you should be able to get under 4 sec. I live in Ohio/Michigan area so I know the struggle with the weather lol

I think he still using the stock 245 on the rear tires that comes on the LT1 when the SS comes with 275 he would catch traction better and would pull close to 4 seconds or even 3.9 on a good day I’m telling from experience I have a 2020 Camaro 2ss in the red hot with that 10 speed she can move
LoL, stock heavy 2Ss cant get under 4.6 with stock rubber. Its not how wide the rubber is as much as the quality of the tire.
@@08turboSS lies with my Camaro SS I still have the video of me doing 0-60 in 4 seconds flat and my bro his SS go 3.9 sometimes all depends on the weather and the location
I have the same car. 0-60 in 4.8 sec without competitive mode on. All mine does with competitive mode on is spin the tires off.
Yeah just picked up a LT1 yesterday and I’ve been messing with it the past 2 days, every time i try to do launch control it sends me spinning, what’s your best method?

Plus after having put the smack down on 4 base LT1 A10’s, I can honestly say my 2018 8 spd 1SS is quicker, especially above 60 mph. So weight drop of about 80 lbs is not worth it. The experts say each 100 lbs dropped is equivalent in effect of adding 10 hp, dropping 1 tenth off the 1/4 and gaining 1 mph in trap speed. But I obliterated those 4 LT1 A10’s. Beat them by half a car to 60 mph and over 1 car length and 2 mph faster in the full 1/4.
Are you modified? I’ve always seen the 10 speeds beating the 8 speeds stock for stock and even in my experiences but there’s a lot of issues that could be at play too a lot of people don’t know the car or how to race it or race in general too lmao😂
@@codymotorsport Yeah. the 10 speeds have better overall gear ratios for acceleration and have an entire extra non-overdrive gear compared to the A8 (A8 owner here)

Yes in these cars you have to have it off in order to engage it but like you said that’s not the case in all cars just most
I have 2019 Camaro 2ss 10spd A full stock except for flow master mufflers, I run 0-60 4.1 in launch control mode with 315 nittos 555R 8th mile 7.95 .I do have an LT2 intake and flex fuel kit ready to install waiting for cold air intake want to do it all at once then tune it..

Nope just the center button for drive modes! The zl1’s and maybe the ss have it in the cluster where you can adjust rpm but not the LT1 and lower models

I thought that too till I tried it out using the dragy and I kept running slower times with tc on rather than having it off and letting it spin/feathering the gas
Absolutely not the case. Nannies is what slows your ass down, that and the poor traction on that ass end. His 0-60's should be 4.2 on average with good rear tires.
Ive gotten 3.8 before but usually 3.9 or 4.0 was typical but ever since I went catless and put a different air filter on I can’t seem to get those times with better tires. You’d think with that little of mods it wouldn’t make it spin that much more

I believe the launch control in the ss is in the dash screen menu it’s different for the LT1s
ok for me it looks exactly the same in the menu when he says step on the brakes, the bar should fill up, he doesn't do that, it's a problem, I'm from Germany and camaros are rarer here

This comes standard for the lt1 A10 right? I just got mine and tried it the other day but maybe I didn’t push the break down hard enough because I just spun my tires

Same here. I might not of had the break hard enough either. With traction control on though in sports mode mine does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds

Being able to control wheelspin with both feet while laying down as much power as possible is a skill to be mastered.

Just depends on your traction really. The transmissions have so many gears it doesn’t matter as long as you’re in the lowest one possible!
On stock wheel tire setup though I’d say 2nd @40 or 3rd @60

I just got a lt1 hate having it switch into v4 mode how did you get the check engine light to stay on for it to stay in v8 mode ?
Oh I love v4 mode when I’m cruising😂 and the check engine light is for the cats
Tune takes care of that so v8 is always on
Get a range afm delete $200 and plugs right in I love mine

Is the launch control engaging but the tires are still spinning? If so you need better tires my car does that too with better tires and a burnout it will hold

No the only way it to get it removed by tuning it
My 2021 LT1 shuts down at 160, factory setting. I'm not tuning until the warranty is up.
Why dash got 180 on it
Only went up to 160 cause it’s the lt1.. have v6 dash and bumpers but v8 drivetrain

It’s to launch the car from a stop when racing. You could just floor it but that’s not the proper way of launching a car or at least cars that spin the tires

According the Chevrolet website the LT1 base V8 package doesn’t come with launch control with either transmission option for 2022. And since there’s no way to get rid of the Active cylinder deactivation system that reverts to 4 cylinder mode, I will be avoiding these newer GM V8’s. Seems the farther we get into the decade, the technology is worse, almost an overload and unreliable. This engine management system is bad in all their V8’s. Lots of cylinder failures and other engine damage. Unless there ever comes a day without the cylinder deactivation system, I’m out. No thanks.
I agree it does ruin the engines but you can get rid of it through a tuner they can shut that off. Also they do come with launch control both manual and auto should I know my auto10 does

I have a plug in device that deactivates that from American muscle. Only $230

Yes the manuals are a different process but they have it! The manuals also have no lift shift

Best I got with factory 245 tires was 3.8 never tried with my 305s on the dragy. Couple friends of mine had a drag setup and got low 3s
Car's pretty slowww. A tuned Turbo model with 340 hp (275 hp stk) does 0-60: 4.7 sec stock was 5.5 sec .
