Wow.. You have sung with notation.. Ankhiya lagi rahata nishadina... My favourite raaga, I learned it when i was in school.. Very easy to learn.. Taan are very beautiful and easy.. Please upload the raaga with the sthai and antara of the bandish..
@Shaoly: I learned the Sargamgeet without the bandish lyrics and composed the rest from there. Thanks for the pointer to "Ankhiya lagi rahata nishadina". The notations are all on our website: auburnsangeet.wordpress.com/
Interesting and powerful format - of singing the rag thru the notes. Do you have separate audio recordings in HD? The audio with the video recording does not do justice to what I think must have been the sound quality at the concert. Please consider upgrading your recording equipment. Good luck and keep the good music coming. Thank you for posting.
Pradeep - thanks for the comment. This type of composition is called a 'Sargamgeet'. Pretty standard for teaching ragas. You are correct about the audio recording quality. We have very little tech support available to us, so usually do not do a separate audio mix.
+Bruno Lopes Thanks for your comment. If you go to our website auburnsangeet.wordpress.com/ you can get all the notations (look under the menu "Ragas").
What instrument is the guy sitting between guitar and sitar, playing ? I have never seen this long tapering string instrument. Is it a special tanpura ?
@Yuuri - we have typically done different ragas in different semesters. Also based on what the teacher knows and can find a good composition appropriate for a novice audience of students.
It looks so beautiful to see all these folks sing together...

You could post the notations here for the rest of the people to sing.

it is a Mohan-veena, exactly that: between a guitar and a sitar, played with a slide.
Is this asavari or komal rishabh asavari???
Ruchi jaiswal shuddh risabh
Just curious, why do you guys perform difficult ragas?
I definitely understand wanting to learn it.

where is
@Yogesh Saini: If you are asking where was this performed? Auburn University in Alabama, United States.
O.K Auburnsangeet you sang the notes. Have you tried putting any words, even a part will do.
This can also be done as a 'Sargamgeet' with only the notes. See comment above from @Shaoly Dasroy for the lyrics comment
