People truly underestimate adriennes importance to this group vocally. I get that raven is perceived as the Beyoncé which she rightfully deserved but Adrienne not only did all the choreography but she hit every single note that we know from the studio version. Do you understand how difficult that is? And still be on pitch key & rhythm? That’s truly an amazing feat.
Raven definitely brought the flavor to the group and her absence on the last movie made a big impact as it showed how different the group sounded without her. To top it off, the last movie had a complete change in its direction. Galeria’s sass and strong personality was a significant ingredient of the movies. Her mother, Dorothea’s Mama Cheetah instincts was also something that carried the group through.

zleo 1- As far as Matthew the girls needed to grow and Staying with Matthew forever wouldn’t allow them to do that. 2- LaTavia was the main reason the group broke up because she started dating Brandon and LeToya started dating his twin brother Brian from Jagged Edge. Check their unsung episode and you will understand the issue with them dating those two guys... They pretty got into their heads and turned against Matthew (the man that was working to make their names relevant along with his own daughter). Brandon and Brian were MESSY, even Kandi has an issue dealing with them because they were always looking for fights! They made those two girls fight Matthew and he just did what he needed to do since those two girls felt like they could be relevant without him, he just released them from the group. Even Beyoncé in an interview has mention that she and Kelly grew different from the other two girls because they started dating guys that would get into their heads and after all these years I just found out she was referring to Brandon and Brian from Jagged Edge!
I don't think they're getting enough credit for their background vocals tbh, they could have just lip synced those parts but they're definitely singing live while still stepping up the choreography.

I agree that Sabrina is the dance specialist, but only because her singing wasn't the strongest. Kiely brings a lot more flavor to her dancing, probably due to her being the one to do most of the vigorous dancing in 3LW. Also, she has that slim and tall look, which actually makes her look the best while dancing.
After the success of the first movie, their was going to be a cheetah girl series on ABC family , but in order to do that Raven had to stop doing, that's so Raven, which was a number one show, so the girls went on as a trio, the show never happened, because the Raven was the biggest star in the group.so there was tension Raven and the other girls, so much so that the only reason Raven agreed to appear in the 2nd movie, was if she got an EP credit, making her part owner of the movie, the other girls were pissed. So during the making of the 2nd movie Raven, Belinda and Adrienne were on one side and Kiely and Sabrina on the other..
I actually watched an interview with raven in 2005 which was around that time and she said she was working on a pilot and hopefully it would get picked up
That was a really good call on Raven's part. I loved That's So Raven and we all know series based on movies usually flop so it would've been a big thing for nothing which would've actually probably caused more tension in the group.

This performance always fascinated me, because this was a CG 2 publicity performance…not the actual girl group performance. So idk it felt awkward etc . You can kind of tell with what we know now that they are not friends.

I agree that Sabrina is the dance specialist, but only because her singing wasn't the strongest. Kiely brings a lot more flavor to her dancing, probably due to her being the one to do most of the vigorous dancing in 3LW. Also, she has that slim and tall look, which actually makes her look the best while dancing.
After the success of the first movie, their was going to be a cheetah girl series on ABC family , but in order to do that Raven had to stop doing, that's so Raven, which was a number one show, so the girls went on as a trio, the show never happened, because the Raven was the biggest star in the group.so there was tension Raven and the other girls, so much so that the only reason Raven agreed to appear in the 2nd movie, was if she got an EP credit, making her part owner of the movie, the other girls were pissed. So during the making of the 2nd movie Raven, Belinda and Adrienne were on one side and Kiely and Sabrina on the other..

That was a really good call on Raven's part. I loved That's So Raven and we all know series based on movies usually flop so it would've been a big thing for nothing which would've actually probably caused more tension in the group.
