I played this at my dad's funeral 6 months after I had hit my Rock bottom with my alcoholism Jan 1st 2015, I checked into detox the next day and haven't had a drink since. Unfortunately in the following years I started to ignore God again because I was still scared to process my guilt until February 2 2022 when God blessed me with complete brokenness again and I found myself returning to celebrate recovery after the factory I worked at for 5years burned down and my wife left me. I'm now engaged to a godly woman, playing guitar in several worship ministries and in school to be a drug and alcohol counselor because of the grace and power of the lord

I lost my brother to alcoholism at 57 yrs old Jan 31 2018….For a long time I couldn’t sing this song He died very suddenly but we knew he was very ill I don’t know where he’s spending eternity that’s the sad part I grapple with constantly My dear daddy who passed away from Cancer in 2010 prayed for years and years for a death bed confession I hope he got time ❤to

Amen ,I find it so amazing that he would voluntarily give up his place to take on my sins, be tortured, and die a horrible death on the cross to save me.
when I accepted the Lord, I held off telling my Hindu parents the truth for about 4 months. I didn't want to disappoint them, but my choice was made. I would rather disappoint them than disappoint my Lord. I heard the worst things a parent would say to their kid. "you might as well throw yourself under a bus..." and I broke down. I was annihilated by the reaction of the people I loved the most. At that moment in my darkness, I opened my bible and it landed on Psalm 27. "When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me in". After reading it I simply cried myself dry. I could not believe hoe my Lord loved me so much. He never left me and I had his embrace in my worst pain. I have only love for my parents. And after years of negativity from them, they are now slowly coming back in my life. I just want to say that I am loved. I am loved by you Lord! I am so loved that you gave me the most wonderful gift of a loving wife and beautiful kids. My life will always be for Jesus and to Jesus! Thank you, Lord!

Not only that she is once in a generation artist, she is also a very good and humble human being. When she was 6 years old and travelling with her parents in another country, she met a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale to earn some money to support herself and her siblings. Angelina went to talk to her and noticed that she was shoeless and had scars on her feet. Without prompting from her mother or grandmother who were accompanying her, she removed her shoes and gave them to the girl. That evening she recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. She kept that promise till today while raising millions for children charities.
I discovered her when she was 7 years old and have been following her career since then. She is 16 years old today and on her way to becoming one of the greatest artists of all time. She has about 170 songs to listen to of which many in my humble opinion better than the originals.

I can never tire of listening to Alan, especially when he does his "gospel" songs, he is a real inspiration to me! You can not imagine how much it would mean to me if I ever got the chance to see Alan perform live or to even be in a position to have a short chat with Alan, but unfortunately living in the Uk makes that quite difficult for me!

I recently lost my sister, my brother in law, and my precious grandson. I'm so sad some of the tine, My husband's passing was get ting a little easier but now I feel so alone. I hope they are visiting one another and enjoying God's glory. I do get to see Alan Jackson sing so I still have that. I think we all need to cry sometimes, It helps. Beautiful music helps us cope. We all love Alan.

We have an amazing God and amazing family in Christ. My family’s matriarch who formed our family into serving God recently went to her heavenly home and this song was a blessing and comfort. She definitely lived and taught us the goodness of God!

This takes me back to being a child on Sunday mornings. l used to go to a small Baptist church with my family and I can vividly remember the voices filling that chapel with this song. I've stepped away from the Lord since then, but I can't help but feel that small tug every now and then that calls me back.
