- Another urreleased gem, officially commisioned but rejected by the Pet Shop Boys on 1988. Only one of the many Frankie Knuckles remixes was "adopted" by the Boys, wich was the "Royal Piano Mix", a mostly instrumental version only included on an obscure CD-R for years, and recently on a Frankie Knuckes Remixes compilation. This one here was never officially released to date, and it was supposed to be the main vocal 12" of the Frankie mixes, the most complete version, altough very similar in structure to the "Introspective" album version. I prefer the "Temple LA Dub" version, already here on this channel, but this one is a very interesting listening from a possible release that never saw the light.

Hmmm. I share the same opinion on the Royal Piano Dub. It sounds like the drum machine was on its last legs with the hi-hats clearly all over the place. I don't know if this was intended to make the remix sound looser but yeah I've never really been a fan of any of Frankie's LTMOD remixes I'm afraid. His other stuff of course is marvellous. His version of I Want a Dog is far better than this in my opinion. Thanks for uploading.

The original leaked source for this unreleased mixes is an internal demo tape. This one here is a personal remaster for a direct tape rip, I´m not sure about how the sound quality of the fake promo CD is...
OMG this is an absolute car crash! Frankie obviously couldn’t get his 909 to sync up! No wonder it wasn’t released…
Not a musician, but, something seems a bit off, but I still love it. Everything doesn't have to be perfect.
