The magnesium oil even helps with restless legs. Although being on medication, it happens to me sometimes that this awful sensation appears preferably in the night. I take a small amount of the magnesium oil and rub it into the concerned parts of the legs, and go back to bed. The magnesium oil is actually no oil, by the way, it's an oversaturated solution and feels sticky. So don't use too much and wash your hands afterwards. 🤗❤️
I am presently experiencing the severe leg cramps now and searching youtube. Luckily, I found you who saved my life. Subscribed & definately liked. Forwarding it to my mom who has this cramps too. 👍
Years ago I used to get leg cramps while swimming, sometimes while swimming across the Mississippi River. Contrary to popular opinion, a cramp while swimming need not be a fatal condition. It's more difficult to deal with it while swimming, but not impossible. Very firmly stretching the muscle, sometimes by by using the other leg to pull back on the forward part of the cramped leg, will relieve it. If that didn't work, one could stop swimming and use the drown proofing technique until the cramp goes away. For more information, google "drown proofing" to find a Wiki article on how to it. The important thing is not to panic since panicking could result in drowning.
Definitely bringing this to my athletes. Nothing like running on to the field or being on the sideline trying to reduce leg cramps on someone who hasn't been hydrating all week before game time....fast fixes are definitely appreciated by all - especially the poor soul with the cramps.
To prevent the cramp when I feel it's coming up, I seat (or put my hands on a wall while standing) and immediately stretch the leg and pull the HEEL forward (toes pointing up towards the knees). Same at night when I get night cramps. It's basically the same thing as this stretching exercise at 8:48 - except that I do it while seating or lying down.
Me too. I get it in both legs from toe to little above the knee. I sit down in the shower, stretch and hope the hot water will relax the muscles. I don’t have enough hands to massage both the legs

Well, this explains my leg cramps last night and feeling like I have no energy all day!!! Magnesium will be on my night table from now on!!! Thank you!!!❤
I literally had the worst cramp in my calf in my sleep a few nights ago. Never happened to me before. It was so strong but strangely not strong enough to fully wake me up but man did I feel it the second the muscles cramped up. It was like something inside just sucked the muscles into a tiny hole and squeezed super super hard. So painful.
@VASHTICATION 2023 CODE: NEWPORTS & CRABLEGS 🚬🦀Used to get that quite often until someone taught me the trick. When a leg cramp creeps up on you at night, just grab your big toe (or all toes) with your hand and bend that foot inwards twds the shin with some force. I usually have cramps early morning 4x in a week. The most painful & lasting for few minutes is cramps over my thigh. It is like labor pains. Thank you for your info!
Leg cramps are excruciating. All I have to do is turn my foot inward too much and here it comes. That slowwww then horrendous pain like you want to cry. I lay there breathing. Gently move my foot in opposite direction. It passes in about 30-45 seconds. Then a bruise feeling left over. Then gone. It’s unbelievable.

Hey Dr. Michael, here's a topic suggestion: Abdominal cramps. Have you ever had one while driving? I did, & crashed because I couldn't steer from the pain!
👍🏻 I watched the video and will be definitely trying the exercises. They seem like they would work especially during a severe leg cramp. Thank you for sharing on CZcams and I will keep you in touch to let you know if this works when I get a severe night leg cramps.
Thank you. For good suggestions. Another quick fix I have found is to take a small hand towel, soak in hot water, wring out, and wrap around area of cramp. Usually works in seconds.
I'm watching this at 4:15 am due to intense pain that woke me up. Just ordered the magnesium spray and some coconut oil. Thank you for these tools. I've been dealing with this for the last three nights.
Thank you for so many excellent tips. I got a cramp in my hamstring that spread quickly down to my calf and kept spasming. Scary as heck!! These tips will hopefully help with that severe pain.

Magnesium also works as a healthful laxative, so if you start experiencing "magnesium induced diarrhea" you will want to stop taking magnesium for a while. I take 1/2 tab at a time and it still eventually becomes too much. Mag. spray sounds like a good alternative. Haven't heard of it before. Thank you.
Dr.Rowe what am I going to tell you I truley like this therapy as i was following your instruction watching you doing it Miracles started to do it's work. keep the good work my friend . May God bless you and wishing you all the success in the world. PEACE✌
I use a tonic called “Stop legs cramps in about a minute “…..not very good tasting but it works. My leg cramps are so bad my feet and ankles seem to turn inwards, I have shin cramps, toe cramps, ankle cramps. 😢😢😢😢 I have to literally drag my self to the kitchen to get the tonic. I will try some magnesium oil. And rub it in when I feel the cramps starting. Some days I just feel like I have a permanent cramp there just waiting for me to go to bed to strike.
I just force my foot flat on the ground and my calf cramps instantly release. The worse cramps I get however are chin cramps which feel very weird lol. I just massage those out. Another is hamstring cramps and those have to be the worse cramps of all, hard to do anything about them besides trying to stretch.
Thank you! I'll definitely be getting some magnesium spray. It's true that when you're dehydrated and low on magnesium, you can get cramps. I got a bad leg cramp this evening and I was dehydrated and hadn't taken the magnesium capsule supplements I usually take every morning. To get faster relief from the painful cramp, I took approximately 3/4 tsp. of magnesium powder I also have in my cupboard and drank two full tall glasses of water with it. It was amazing how quickly it releieved the painful cramp!
I saw this and watched it after suffering another bout of cramping. I will order Magnesium Oil and up my nightly routine of Magnesium tablets. Thanks for your informational video! 😊
Cramps on the inner thigh are the worst? Every time I ride my back and work my legs I will get them. They are so bad, I regret riding and riding is a great joy for me. I am hoping this magnesium spray will work. Thanks doc!
The worse cramps of all are those on the inside of the thigh that just get stronger and stronger until you just start walking. They bring tears to my eyes. Hydration is important, and I take a regular potassium supplement along with magnesium glycinate which does not loosen the bowels.
I am also plagued by nightime leg and feet cramps especially if i have done alot of walking. I have tried apple cider vinegar diluted w. Water in spray bottle. I keep this near my bed. Massage in. The fastest and most soothing is a hot shower and then getting into a warm bed. I sleep with a heating pad for sciatica and electric blanket for arthritis year round. Yes..magnesium oil works and calming powder is fabulous and excellent for high b.p.thankyou dr.rowe i love your no nonsense approach.❤😂
I love magnesium spray! I use it and it helps me sleep throughout the night w/o waking up in pain. I also use the sauna often. I believe this helps. Massage helps too.
Those leg stretches you showed (the first one did the most) helped relieve my calf cramp in just a couple of minutes. All night my leg was tight, kept cramping if I slept in just about any postition and had to move all night. That “before the Charlie horse sets in” kinda cramp that comes and goes & won’t make up its mind.
I get horrible cramps in my feet. This usually starts in the toes where they split from each other. Ouch!! I take magnesium 2x a day. Once about an hour before bed. It's relaxing me and helps me sleep. The magnesium has helped a lot with the cramps however when I feel a cramp coming on I find heat helps. I grab the heating pad and try to relax!! Cramps are one of the most painful things in life 😢
Yes I added magnesium. Seems to be working. BUT I also just found out the probable cause of waking with a full leg cramp was one leg is 1/2 inch shorter than the other. Now have lift in one shoe. Amazingly working.
I suggest drinking 1 glass of water every hour, then before sleep and even sip some water when waking up at night. See if it goes away. Dehydration triggers these cramps, but the actual issue is underlying vascular or nerve problem (such as nerve damage at the lower spine)
I’ve never experienced this until last night when I placed my leg in an awkward position. Immediately the pain was sharp and I felt a hard lump on my calf muscle. I was so worried thinking there was a blood clot. I stood up and tried to walk it off and it was painful but thankfully it slowly lessened. This morning I can extend my toes and expand my calf muscle and still feel some pain. Horrible experience but I will try hydrating more from now on. Don’t want to experience that again.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and I have severe muscle pain along the back of my legs and buttocks, especially if I exercise or even walk for long. The pain can be so intense that I have to go to bed for the rest of the day. I’ve tried pretty much every type of over-the-counter pain medication and even some PO meds (muscle relaxants) prescribed by my neurologist. The only thing that really works for the pain is either to get a massage or to go to sleep. I’m definitely going to try the topical Mag oil and see if it will help! Thank you so much😀
Thank you Thank you Thank you. I am saving every video you have made . I would love to know though where do I get magnesium spray ???? I take it at night but would love to use it as a rub . I get cramps in the outside of my left calf and literally have to jump out of bed and walk around my bedroom. They are pure torture . If I move my foot wrong when laying back down it comes back immediately. I don't know what to do for them . I drink lots of water and when I sweat alot I drink IV in a bottle poured into my water bottle. Still getting cramps at night ??????? I appreciate all your knowledge intensely.
Thank you so much! Sometimes when I'm not able to drink enough water during the day my leg cramps force me out of bed and I'm so tired the next day. You've helped me so much! Thank you again! ❤
I have medication that the Doctor told me to stop and that introduced the sciatica pain. Also great info. I have ordered Magnesia. Thanks for the self massage and applied coconut oil with Spoon! Nice😊 but stopping the heart medication helped the most
I haven't had relief from the exercises. But I have learned to identify similar weaknesses and unusual leg stability issues. Whenever I have that I rub in and massage peppermint essential oil into my whole leg from the groin down to the toes. In the morning my legs feel like new with no cramping or even the slightest weakness whatsoever.
Thank you for sharing this information! I take magnesium daily in a supplement, but didn’t know there was an oil! I forwarded this to my mom as she gets restless leg syndrome and can’t sleep well due to leg pain.
I am a daily user of Magnesium Citrate that is mixed with hot water to make a "magnesium tea." But sometimes I get leg cramps maybe because at 80 years old my circulation is not great. Sometimes I can stop a cramp without getting out of bed by pulling my toes up towards my knees. Other times I have to hop out of bed and stand up and force my toes towards my knees. For the worst cramps, say in both legs, I hobble to the bathtub, turn on the HOT water and fill a deep basin and, while the basin is filling up, massage the cramp with my hand (or the heel of my other foot.) One time after driving all day I got the most intractable cramp that required sitting in the bathtub with my leg under the HOT water while continuing to fill the tub to waist level. That whole episode took about 20 minutes.
Wondering if a hot water bottle would work. Years ago I hobbled right over with wet feet and woke up on the floor with a broken nose and two black eyes. Caused me to reassess a few things, including the importance of daily stretching. And for whatever reason, it corrected my deviated septum. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thank you for posting this. I drink plenty and take high dose mg. Standing all day causes night Charlie’s. Lately it’s been inside of upper leg. Real screamers.
I used to watch you, and what you teach Dr Rowe is wonderful. Each time I do whatever you say. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND YOUR PRECIOUS SKILL. Take care of yourself too.
I take a magnesium powder that has potassium in it and it works quickly. My question is what are the causes of these cramps Is it just a shortage of magnesium and potassium?
Great advice i got it as my wife suffer maximum time in a weak & in the earlly morning will help me & her to get relief from day to day problems The God bless you and your family members with peace in life here and after
would love to know what the best thing to do when the crsmp starts coming up while in bed at night as there is no time to really sit up and start massaging while the cramp unfolds and sometimes even goes into the upper thigh. Thank you!

I absolutely love your videos you have helped me along the way in so much and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us!!
Happy to help!
PEACE✌
Thank you young man what a relief to be able to do your exercise its a Blessing stay safe keep well🐾😘🙏🐕!
Thanks for watching!
I had severe cramp and muscle seizing last night. Its very painful and scary when it happens! Thank you so much for instant relief recommendation.🙏
I take a magnesium supplement in my water before bed and has worked like a charm with my transition into 12 hour shifts
Thank you this was very helpful. The prayer position was most helpful. My side calf feel so good now ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Glad the exercises are helping you!
Magnesium oil is super simple to make yourself.
Get the flakes and dissolve in distilled water.
Interesting!
Brand I use is Life-flo (pure magnesium chloride brine ). 1magnesium to 1 water. It works well!
Hello From India 🇮🇳 Can you please suggest what to do if you are suffering from "Partial sacralization of L5 vertebral body"
Magnesium!!!
Sit on ankles, put tennis balls between calves & hammies. Grab right foot and massage left leg. Then left to right.
I saw this and watched it after suffering another bout of cramping. I will order Magnesium Oil and up my nightly routine of Magnesium tablets. Thanks for your informational video! 😊
Thank you my muscle cramp is healed 🎉
Cramps are one of the most painful things in life 😢
Bending your toes and foot towards you works for me every time .
I do this when I get a cramp
Thank you will certainly try this, as I get lots of cramp in my legs, I'm 78, play golf, take the tables,
but hope this oil will do the trick
Straight up the best video on treating acute cramp. Great work!
Thanks for sharing these exercises! Guess it's going to be of great help to me!
Thanks for watching!
Yes I added magnesium. Seems to be working. BUT I also just found out the probable cause of waking with a full leg cramp was one leg is 1/2 inch shorter than the other. Now have lift in one shoe. Amazingly working.
Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I stretched my leg the wrong way and had a muscle spasm. The rolling thumb massage really helped
I lift pretty intense. I was getting cramps daily. I drink a Gatorade after workouts and that seems to work For me. Have a good day
Can you please give solution for tail bone pain? Thank you

@@DrRowe Thanks a ton
Thank you so much! Sometimes when I'm not able to drink enough water during the day my leg cramps force me out of bed and I'm so tired the next day. You've helped me so much! Thank you again! ❤
I have medication that the Doctor told me to stop and that introduced the sciatica pain. Also great info. I have ordered Magnesia. Thanks for the self massage and applied coconut oil with Spoon! Nice😊 but stopping the heart medication helped the most
This seems to be the best among all the videos I've seen
I haven't had relief from the exercises. But I have learned to identify similar weaknesses and unusual leg stability issues. Whenever I have that I rub in and massage peppermint essential oil into my whole leg from the groin down to the toes. In the morning my legs feel like new with no cramping or even the slightest weakness whatsoever.
Magnesium oil's a great idea, you're a PRO, Doc! So glad I found you.
Thank you for sharing this information! I take magnesium daily in a supplement, but didn’t know there was an oil! I forwarded this to my mom as she gets restless leg syndrome and can’t sleep well due to leg pain.
Thanks for watching!
i also have rls! i saw this and i just automatically clicked to see if anything could help
Oh my goodness. Relief at last. Thank you!
Glad you're getting relief!
I'M FREE!!!!!! KNEE PUMP EXERCISE WORKED REALLY FAST THANK YOU
Hi anything to help stop migraines ?

Off the subject, what do recommended for "sit bone" pain?
Thank you Dr.Rowe
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for posting this. I drink plenty and take high dose mg. Standing all day causes night Charlie’s. Lately it’s been inside of upper leg. Real screamers.
Thanks for watching!
VERY ON TIME FOR SAVING ME ❤ VERY USEFUL AND IMPORTANT SUBJECT ❤ THANKS A MILLION ❤❤❤
You are the best doctor now I have a question for you how do you help people with leg pain and cramps

Rub the area hard to get the heat into the area. Or use a hot water bottle. And keep the area warm
would love to know what the best thing to do when the crsmp starts coming up while in bed at night as there is no time to really sit up and start massaging while the cramp unfolds and sometimes even goes into the upper thigh. Thank you!
Hello Dr. Rowe!
Could you make a video demonstrating some exercises to fix cubital tunnel syndrome/ulvar nerve being stretched in the elbow?
Thank you!
