You have no idea how happy I am to have just found your channel! I was a friend of Horse Ryan and his partner, who was an activities co-ordinator at Boggo. Oh, and I just binge-watched BSU.
Oh, I had a mate in Boggo in the 70s. Yeah, I remember visiting him as a teenager.
James Finch of Whisky a go go was at Boggo, he always claimed he didn't do it, anyway he had a pen pal who he married at Boggo. I lived at the flats at Windsor where she lived and when he got out he stayed with her until he was deported to the UK. I was watching BSU and my memories flooded back. I had show downs with Finch and he threatened to kill me, I was a single mum, and I have no idea who I thought I was standing my ground with him. He tried to brake into my flat too.
What an awful situation you went through. James Finch was a master manipulator and a cruel, callous person. After his release from Boggo Road Jail, his wife, Cheryl, was treated terribly by him. The experience you had does not surprise us. Yet many people still maintain he and John Stuart were innocent.

My biological father was ‘doing time’ there around the same period as Slim and ‘Lyle’, or thereabouts (70’s & 80’s). I remember him writing to my mother about ‘busting out’, and others. Would love to touch base with someone who could tell me more as he is now passed and I’m trying to put the jigsaw together 🙏🏼
