    The menu design and animation is AMAZING on this. It reminds me of the pebble watch. I almost want to get one but I hated having to get Nespresso pods.

    I have been pondering hacking a Tassimo machine because it has the functions to perform similar to The Morning Coffee. I have been experimenting with both Kerig Machines and Tassimo but haven't found a Nespresso machine in the eWaste yet. i now find myself "Needing" this machine. I has the features that I was about to start building on the a Tassimo carcass that I have been modifying.I was considering using Arduino and replcing the CPU so I could do my own coding. My idea of an ideal machine would be an open sourced and hack-able version of this machine.

    This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact czcams.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.

    I uesd Nespresso machine for 20 years. Since it went out of order, I’ve felt stuck in coffee agony; which new coffee machine would be best as my next coffee mate? It took almost a year to make a firm decision to go for Morning machine.
    Now I get surprised every time of trying two or three recipes with the same capsule; how it can make so different flavors. That was never capable with my previous Nespresso machine, and the experience with Morning machine is way beyond my expectation with its coffee-making being so pleasant.

    Doesn’t matter the machine, Nespresso type capsules hold just 5g of ground coffee. That’s just a limitation that cannot be overcome.

    Would be interested to know if the Morning machine's built in recipe make a large taste difference to Nespresso capsule in terms of taste? Often the Nespresso capsules would taste slightly burnt when extracting with their own machine, probably due to the high pressure and temperature.

    • @camperhonsa8633
      @camperhonsa8633 Před rokem

      I don’t think it can. The nespresso machine can barely extract the extremely darkly roasted coffee they sell. I’ve tried a few of their lighter roasts (darker medium at most) and that was probably its limit.

    Great as I have bought a Nespresso Essenza Mini (a similar machine) literally two days ago. I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted the coffee it makes as it really is not terrible at all. I will be searching the market for some cheaper replacement capsules, though, since you can easily go bankrupt if you keep buying the Nespresso ones only :)

      @@EuropeanCoffeeTrip No wonder results with the MCM are far better than with the Nespresso. It is far more advanced and costs 6 times more than the Essenza Mini - at least comparing the 577 USD (2500 PLN at today's exchange rate) for the MCM vs 299 PLN for the Essenza Mini in Poland. It is also tough not to comment on how similar the overal design of the MCM is to the Nespresso machines :)

    • @EuropeanCoffeeTrip
      @EuropeanCoffeeTrip  Před 2 lety +1

      @@jegermajster I see it's US$374 (on the website) - it's still 4x more expensive than Essenza Mini. We wanted to make a taste comparison because it's no always a case that more expensive brewers can make better coffee.

      @@EuropeanCoffeeTrip It was a good decision as thanks to it viewers can decide is the upgrade in brew quality is worth the extra cost. So, as usual, diky moc for your great efforts! :)

    It seems like some wise guy has given the market an alternative, the ability to tweak or customise your Nespresso drink. Credit to Morning. But for me, I think it's rather gimmicky concept and especially when it's cost quite a bit more than a regular Nespresso machine. I have both a home espresso machine and a Nespresso machine. If I wanna tweaking I would rather experiment with my home espresso machine. For a Nespresso drink, I just want it plain & simple, a coffee at its highest pressure and temperature. No need to pay a lot more for those features I won't bother to use.

  • @TCMk23
    @TCMk23 Před 2 lety +2

    I don't trust the "blind" taste review. The morning cup was consistently the one with the black pattern on it, but nespresso was the plain one. Not a true blind taste test.

  • @c0mbat15
    @c0mbat15 Před 2 lety +4

    Lol. It really doesn't matter how good the machine or the pods are they will get no where near an espresso that comes from a real machine that has been used with coffee that has been ground just before you use them by a good grinder and with fresh beans.

      What do you mean? Plastic is quite a broad term and there are quite many metal parts like the lever or scales.

      @@EuropeanCoffeeTrip It is difficult to find good quality espresso machines that dont have plastic parts. I'm concerned about this for health reasons.
