Marcelo Garcia (born January 17, 1983) is a Brazilian submission grappler and a 4th degree black belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and coach. A highly decorated competitor, Garcia is widely considered to be one of the best grapplers in the world and arguably the best pound for pound submission grappler.[2] Holding 5 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship and 4 ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship titles,[3] Garcia is a member of the IBJJF Hall of Fame and the third BJJ athlete to be inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame.
Garcia has won five world championship titles in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as a black belt in the middle-weight category.[8] He has many submission grappling titles, including the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship. At ADCC, Garcia has won the 66-76 kg division four times (2003/2005/2007/2011),[9][10][11] been awarded the most technical fighter twice (2003 and 2007) and won the best fight award in 2005. In 2005, he finished in third place in the absolute (open weight) division and in 2007 finished second in the absolute division.[12][13] In ADCC 2009, Garcia finished second in his weight division, losing by points to Pablo Popovitch, whom he had defeated in the two previous finals.

Marcelo is the No-gi GOAT. Yes, this is true Gordon.
Only if Gordon was natural i would disagree with you. But since he is always on juice, i agree with your statement but arguable because there's Roger gracie
@@positivetradingofficial500lets forget the steroids use issue for a second. Marcelo is still to be seriously considered as a goat in bjj. He would always battle in absolute division and beat lots of considerably heavier opponents. Gordon and Roger are/were amazing but very big dudes. Would they have (had) the same success in absolute division if they had been lighter fighters?
Jajajaja
Marcelinho Garcia é espetacular, ele faz parecer fácil!!!
In addition to his phenomenal technique, Marcelo is RELENTLESS ❤
One of the Greatest Grapplers of all time period. Marcelo's instructor was the Great Fabio Gurgel, he was a Badass too. 🙏🔊❤️🥋🥋
Marcelo is the GOAT
Yes yes yes
My GOAT :) Thanks a million for posting !
His match with Kron Gracie at 2011's ADCC isn't here? Not only one of his top 5 matches imo (it’s an absolute barn-burner), but one of the best ADCC matches ever. It's a classic and it's epic.
Agreed 💯
It is too fresh. These older matches when Marcelo was a newish black belt are much more appealing to grappling fanatics.
That is a great one. Definitely in the top 5 of all time. I liked the other matches here, but feel like there was a selection bias toward picking the open weight division matches; which granted is super impressive to come out on top, but you don't see the breadth and depth of Marcelo's technique
Thank u bro!! Can’t wait! 💪
Two people at the gym asked me today who they should watch in Jiu-Jitsu. I told them to watch Marcelo Garcia.
Marcelinho vs Shaolin 💥
Lembra um pouco o Mica! Oss.
Marcelo GOAT!
THE G.O.A.T
please enlighten me, what happened on 28:19. why did they start standing?
GOAT
Definitely
31:37 love is in the air
who was the last match against and were slams allowed or not allowed?? if they were allowed, why did they break, and if not, why wasn't he DQ'd?
AND Marcelo Garcia never juiced up on steroids like them other competitors.
25:40 depois de um suplex rola até uma risada 😅
A lesser man might got some payback after getting body slammed and heel hooked a few snapped tendons into in Rodriguez's foot..
Was that the 3rd fight? Marcelo in white gi? How did he finish? New to jiu-jitsu and couldn't see?
@@richheustis5930 the last fight
Mike Tyson of jiu-jitsu
@25:41 is the craziest ive seen
29:50 Eyes Fake ?
When you know you won because you are are bigger.
Marcelo only brings out the heelhook when his opponent is disrespectful
Recoa sux!
