I don't think Prome is actually dead, especially after his goo not only captures Rick's portal, but Evil Mortys gold portal that has access passed the central finite curve. I think that between capturing them and them finding him, he escaped the Central finite curve which helps make Rick and Evil Morty assume he's dead while he attempts to become the true God of the entire multiverse. Think about it, until Evil Morty breaks the curve in Season 5 finale, no Rick's tech can break or go through the Curve, meaning all of the scans are limited to the universes from the Curve, not those beyond.
I know he's supposed to be dead and he is for bringing the story to a conclusion, but considering the Valhalla episode it feels so unlikely now for a being such as Rick to truly die

Could make for an interesting show if rick teamed up with the smartest versions of his family for some epic showdown where someone in charge of a different version of the galactic empire is the smartest of their respective universes.

Not really cheated, though he did summon help in the form of small robots and 3 large titans, and was immortal, he was technically fighting a 1v3 and would’ve won if it weren’t for the fact 2/3 of the people he was fighting were Morty’s.
