Of course it's cheap, because there are no jobs. Everyone just plans of flipping some land or apartments to someone that pays more that's all. There's no industry, nothing to do

I 1000% agree to your genious statement and your philosophy, i did the same in Berlin long time ago, but now Germany is a sick country, whose people have lost their connection to reality and now I’m looking for a new fancy place based on roman culture and language, place with traditional values and real problems, far away from left communist climate ideology. Germany is a decreasing country and they do not recognize their situation. Romania and a place like Oradea seems to be underrated. My philosophy is to act countercyclical. Ohly sheeps are running with the herd. Your apartment is beautiful, i love the contrast of historic architecture and modern furniture.
Maybe Oradea is the place to invest and to be.
Romania is basically 70% communist. Still ruled by the same communist "nobility" as 30 years ago. They will break any conceivable law.

I was born in Oradea as well in 1960. I am in The USA at this time.
How much did you pay for the apartment there?
I am thinking about returning to there in the next few years.
If I want to look for real-estate, which is the website that is local there for real estate.
The pictures you showed of the center of Oradea is where I grew up till I was 10yo
My grandfather was the finance minister guy in the city hall (which is right there in the picture in front of the church) MANY years ago.
At this time I am leaning to live a simpler life, may be a few kilometers out of the city in a small village.

Hi. Around 72k € total. But you can find good ones around 50k 2 rooms. Mines was more expensive because it's a central location. You can check "Gaminvest Oradea" they are the real deal, also they speak English if u email them. ( Contact@gaminvest.ro ) Haha, the city is amazing nowadays best city to live in Ro and plenty of great countryside places nearby. Thanks alot for the comment.

Yep. You'll get good rent for it. The problem is that they're very expensive and I think the ownership is a 99 year lease. You can't keep it for generations as far as I know

My father was born in Oradea and I travelled there with him many years ago. I am going to return this year to look up my family and hopefully teach English for a time. From what I have seen the city has grown quite a bit over the years. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with the family.

You are wrong about cars. I always buy a new cars cash. I own a 2020 GLE 350, 2016 C300 & E320 CDI and all are pay off. New cars are always a new . Used cars are always junk.
