- This video is kind of like an ode to one of my favorite guitars I own and the quest to get it. A new Gibson Les Paul Custom VOS in Ebony Finish While it's not entirely the most unique journey, it certainly details things that matter to me, and I imagine things that matter to some of you out there looking to fine your perfect guitar.
In my case, it was a near twenty year wait to find the perfect guitar for me. Sure, it took off a few years here and there, and I wasn't always on the hunt, but from the moment the idea hit my mind until the final purchase took about twenty years.

Ben, this was a great video. We have identical preferences when it comes to Les Paul's. I've had a couple with gold hardware and it tarnishes in no time. Never had the dreaded phenom of bridge collapse! Blows me away that it happened on a new guitar. I've had one custom out of the approximately 75 lesters I've owned throughout the year's, a 1973 which was grand. Loaned it out to my guitar player who was moving to the Phoenix area and he f'in pawned it! Anyway...great guitar/video. I think my Greeny is my new numero uno just because of the totally unique insanely figured top. Waiting on you're Greeny video...Cheers!👍🏼👍🏼😁

Gibson quality has gone to hell in the last couple of decades. So this doesn't surprise me. I wouldn't have a Gibson Les Paul made after 1974.
@michaelknott9305 that comment is 100% untrue. I love Gibson..and have owned stacks of literally every brand...
