I've heard this song on many channels, from a huge number of singers. Some locals, some world famous. But not a single one can match him. Friar Alessandro has a truly extraordinary talent and voice. Nel mio Paese - in Polonia - abbiamo tanti bei canti natalizi, almeno una ventina sono quelli conosciuti e cantati da tutti. In questo periodo - secondo la tradizione polacca fino al 2 febbraio - nelle chiese vengono anche organizzati concerti di canti di Natale e "Adeste fideles" viene anche eseguito di tanto in tanto. I know this song. In the movie about the christmas truce of ww1 a german soldier raises up from the trenches to sing this in christmas spirit in order to declare a temporary truce with the other side. This song is a great reminder of unity in the christian church. Whether youre catholic, protesrant, or orthodox we should all live in peace and harmony with each other.
