    I was told by multiple people going fro. Str8 to tapered was impossible. All it takes is the lower cup. Crazy

    I'm starting to see more Marlin upgrade videos and I like it lol. The fork and seat post are the main upgrades I want for my Marlin 8. Everything else is pretty solid from factory.

Сейчас пока всё работает, 3х7 и стоковая вилка, но как только вел даст сбой (предпосылки небольшие уже есть😅) будет полная переборка 🎉🥳👍 А пока радует то что есть! Главное здоровье и желание катать.     Iv also upgraded my marlin 6 with same fork adapter to RS 120mm boost recon air... Way better than crappy suntour.
    Also new handmade wheelset with alexrims 30mm, maybe 10 times stronger than shitly bontrager wheelset

    Hi I upgraded my marlin 6 to rockshox recon boost air forks 130mm travel better handling and upgraded to mavic XA 29er 29mm width rim then upgraded me tyres to maxxis ardent 29x2.40 skinwall lighter and faster rolling speed makes the marlin fantastic to ride

    Muy bueno el video pero el fexible del freno delantero va por la parte interna de la horquilla, la colocastes por el lado externo y puede engancharse con algo cuando estés en la montaña y romper el flexible quedándote sin freno delantero

      Hello Bro. Now there is no problem. It reduces recoil better than the stock fork. So it's smoother, and I'll try going to test it out on harder dirt roads to find faults. Thanks for watching Bro.

      For entry level, MT200 is good enough, but if you wish more serious use or some competition, I recommend deore m6100 or above.

    Life hack: if ur cutting a steerer tube and u dont have a guide, use your stem as a guide. Just clamp it on w one bolt and cut against it

    Please, never touch the Disc brakes with your bare fingers. Some oil from your skin can already make them useless. If you do touch them. Clean them with some rubbing alcohol!

      Hello bro, the main part that I upgraded is fork. Because the factory fork can't adjust the rebound setting. It is easy to cause accidents when riding at high speeds on uneven ground. After upgrading, the handling at high speeds smoother. and reduced weight of the front of the bike as well.
      For other parts still don't need to upgrade. But if I would recommend, You can upgrade the chainrings larger to more speed on roads, while the crankset can be upgraded to reduce the weight of the factory parts. and replace the seat post with carbon material, etc.

    Boss nice review may i know what size of the tapered converter is ZS44/28.6 and EC44/40?

      You are only interested in the bottom cup that is compatible with the 1-1/8" straight neck (check factory data) for Marlin you need the EC44/30, meaning the bottom cup is 44mm outer diameter and 30mm inside diameter. And the upper cup, most of them are standard sizes 44/28.6mm. if you want to be sure can be measured at your bike.

      The drawback is that the geometry angle changes in the front of the bike. It is only about 10mm higher, but it's not a problem for me.

    I have this same bike and the front fork and wheel are definitely a downside. It's very hard to keep the QR tight enough over time and I have had to have the wheel trued once already.

    Hi! I want to do the same change to upgrade my bike with a new fork, and I just realized that all the marlin series use the same frame and headset (I have a Marlin 5). So, replacing the headset will allow me to put any kind of tapered fork or that's going to change depending on the fork I choose? I'm deciding between the Recon or Judy series.

      Hi bro. If you replace the headset for tapered fork. So you'll need to choose a tapered front shock as well. Most of which are almost all taper.

      If you go with the Judy Silver, Solo Air spring, like my Marlin 8 came with, then you won't need to change your headset or anything. I think there's also a Recon for non tapered heads.

      I did. Used internal holes on down tube. Came out below BB I drilled a hole in the seat tube routed it up. Bought cheaper internal routed dropper ... easy as pie.

    Your brake cable of your frontbrake is mounted wrongly. It goes outside and needs to go inside.

      @9barshot I have a Deore m5120 cassette / shifter m4100 and a SLX 7120 chankset. Your plan is great, I used to interest mt401 hub but it's too weight. If possible, I would choose ARC hub. Thanks bro.

      Hi Bro. If you love marlin and don't mind replacing the headset for a better fork. It's a great bike. But if you think there will be a better gear upgrade in the next day. Marlin might not be a good choice.
