Shreya Goshal never claimed that she is greater than these legendary singers like Lataji Ashaji Rafi sahab & Mukeshji. She always respect these legends as her Guru's. I think she the nightingale of our generation. I don't understand why some people make comparison to her Guru's.

Shreya is a very highly accomplished singer who has had rigorous training from a very young age. But it is not fair to compare her to the singers of yesteryears. Their aura was something magical, along with incredible song writers and music directors. It was not just a golden era but one as brilliant as any diamond can possibly be. The word DIVINE comes to mind. Literally as if that music descended from the heavens, creating indescribable euphoria in our heart, mind and soul.
besides excellent singing she is a wonderful actress also. Acting in abhi na jao proves my point.

Though she is a great singer she does not do Lata or asha numbers well at all. The only singer I have seen so them well is Sanjeevani
Her execution of lata classics is a big thumbs down. Last era singers sang much better.
