      @@miamyerssinger the hell you say? Higher property values keep those groups out not hoa's. In fact the only thing an hoa prevents is that recently divorced single mother who is working 2 jobs trying to keep her kids in a good school and is having trouble keeping up with the lawn mowing because she no longer can afford to pay a landscaper, it prevents her from having even a moment's peace. Or the guy who runs a small business out of his garage, or the woman who sells ebay, or the family who wants to build a treehouse. No screw the HOAs of America and everyone who sits on their boards. Annoying or even outright interfering with an hoa is a good thing, they are like the freaking mob in texas. You never really own your property if you live in an hoa, and for most people that's not by choice, the best schools are surrounded by hoa neighborhoods.

It was another classic Hitler taking over the design process like most overpowered things which stole too many of their resources, were impractical and always failed in some way. Great tank but practicality was lost and seen very quickly by the first few years. if they had made panthers or more panzer IV's then there would have been just as much success as lack of numbers was always Nazi Germany's Achilles heel. One Tiger 1 vs three IS 2's would be pretty evenly balanced but it isn't a problem for the U.S.S.R as they produce them in higher quantity.

    • @xavi-kun
      @xavi-kun Před 3 lety +6

      Scooter Grant Actually, from the German perspective, the Tiger was the right choice for Germany.
      Think of this: Germany had fewer resources and a smaller industrial base compared to the likes of, say, the United States. So it’s already a given they can’t out produce them. So if you can’t outproduce them, they could at least try to create something that will kill as many of them as possible before getting destroyed. How do you do this? You improve the armour and the Gun. With regards to the poor maintenance and reliability, Germany was mainly on the defensive to begin with when the Tiger began to enter service so they weren’t necessarily concerned with attacking. (other than possibly Kursk and the Ardennes.) So taking this into account, with Germany’s limited resources, it made sense to invest Said resources meant for 5 Tanks in something that will likely kill more than 5 Tanks while it’s alive.

      @@xavi-kun You make a very good point. I'll take that on board. The only thing is that with most of Nazi Germany's ambitious designs, the requirements of were made by Hitler and we can see that in many of the designs to which there is a great look into power. I'd guess this is because he had planned that once the Third Reich had expanded sufficiently, they wouldn't need to bother about resources as much. But of course, as the war turned around fast, his lack of foresight to a slow building empire resulted in some issues. This does raise the point as to what would have come after the King Tiger if resources were good.

      IcantSignIn in order for him to have bought it the cannon must be inoperable. He needs a special license to have the cannon working but that removes the possibility of making it road legal. If he adds things like brake lights, head lights (which it might already have, a license plate, and rubber tracks then he can drive it around too. (Which is why it's in the wood since if it was just on the ground he could damage the road.)

    • @yourhandlehere1
      @yourhandlehere1 Před 6 lety

      A license plate...so he won't be confused with all the other tanks on the road. Brake lights in case someone can't see the tank in front of them.
      Yes, I know these things. Lots of little infringements...ummm...I mean fees and taxes on his constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Only the rich can afford adequate protection. Rubber tracks are all he needs, even then road damage is inevitable rolling 35-40 tons down it.
