Wow - pretty cool!
Cool video! That looks safe but would be scary to be inside when they get launched off!
I would love to be in a free fall lifeboat when it departs from height, that would be really quite exhilarating.
Good to see that the protection of life at sea is being aided by such competent vessels.
I'm fascinated by the technology and craftsmanship that make these lifeboats virtually unsinkable in the face of extreme conditions. This video offers a reassuring look at their robust design and capability to endure the toughest challenges at sea.
I would like to see the last one converted into a small house boat.
That free fall one looks like fun. 😂
So ein Rettungsboot privat haben 👍👍👍
Greetings from Brandenburg 🇩🇪
200 feet?? The deceleration on impact would be quite a ride.
Each passenger has a race car type safety restraint to hold them in for the launch into the sea. It’s over in seconds with hopefully no injuries at all.
Didn't they claim that the Titanic couldn't sink?
The Tories thought they couldn't sink😉 Vote Reform👍
Interesting that one free fall boat seems to have a outside sprinkler system
I'm not so sure about the SeaHaven! Anything that can be inflated can be deflated. Are there patch kits aboard and a means to re-inflate the vessel especially in rough waters? How much food and water per passenger is provided? If any of these lifeboats strike debris in the water (especially after a 22foot fall), they are likely to be damaged so do they have on board repair kits? How much fuel and/or battery power do they have?
I work 3 y for Viking life saving équipement as technician (biggest life raft compagnie)
Are there patch kits aboard ? : U have 2 type for commercial travel
- SOLAS B : Without watter and food for short travel
3 USCG/SOLAS hand flares 2 USCG/SOLAS parachute flares 1 USCG/SOLAS smoke signals One flashlight One flashlight bulb Extra batteries One signal mirror One signal whistle One bailer Two paddles One topping-up air pump One sea anchor One spare sea anchor Two sponges Repair kit (glue, patches) Repair plugs Rescue quoit and line Survival instructions First aid kit Fishing kit Can openers Floating safety knife Thermal protective aids Anti-seasick tablets Seasickness bags Drinking cup
- SOLAS A : With watter and food for long travel
6 USCG/SOLAS hand flares 4 USCG/SOLAS parachute flares 2 USCG/SOLAS smoke signals 2400 kcal food rations per person 1.5l drinking water rations per person One flashlight One flashlight bulb Extra batteries One signal mirror One signal whistle One bailer Two paddles One topping-up air pump One sea anchor One spare sea anchor Two sponges Repair kit (glue, patches) Repair plugs Rescue quoit and line Survival instructions First aid kit Fishing kit Can openers Floating safety knife Thermal protective aids Anti-seasick tablets Seasickness bags Drinking cup
How much fuel and/or battery power do they have ? : Travels independently for 24 hours, travel speed up to six knots (no more info)

Has any of these lifeboats go through launching in tsunami or hurricane season conditions?
Well that would be a hydrodynamic design, allowing penetration into the water.
you;d be seasick that you'd wish you had gone down with the ship!
Interesting that you failed to mention that passenger ships are not required to have enough lifeboats for all aboard. Most passengers would like to know that.
I'm curious in rough Seas is the boats that lower from a boom will handle getting smashed against the side of a ship.
What is it like hitting the water as a passenger of one of those craft? 0% loss of life from drowning because everyone inside the escape vessel is already dead from blunt force trauma?
this got me thinking so i CZcamsd it and found that people actually sit backwards when these are launched to minimize impact.
RUBBISH MISINFORMATION
There are launch videos on CZcams...
Aquafonic be trolling….
No. Done it often. You face backwards.
The theory of unsinkable has been proven to be highly overrated.
Interior video during launch?
Dammit I did it again good by
Why current life boats are often not deployed and all crew lost is another question.
Same reason why no diver ever drops their weights, no one wants to give up and/or does not understand the danger they are in.
@@lhurst9550 I don't disagree. Fair point.
Hey, Renifer-man, where's the Polish boats?
As someone who’s had neck surgery, i would be concerned of my head whipping on impact
LOL just stay on thr ship if you ate afraid of getting bounced about
tried buyin a s/h one of these 😲🙄
Aren't there sailboats that can survive the heaviest weather? You likely lose the mast, but at least don't sink, and right themselves after capsizing. 🤔
Not if you lose the keel during a roll over.
Refer to Sydney to Hobart race stats!!
Do not even believe that it cant sink…..see Titanic
PUT me on one those with a pound of weed and satellite internet and bunch of water :D
Please don’t druggies need help
with a hammock inside and all around sphere lcd view , perpetual motion cold fusion energy , free year round food supplies :-b or something like that haha, weeeeee, life on mars simulation on earth "?"
Water ain't gonna solve the munchies
Only a pound
