I'm so HAPPY... COLOR is back.. I missed it.
Your colorful clothing is what drew me to your channel in the first place. However, your neutral capsule wardrobe was very helpful and I have used your tips.
I didn’t want to seem rude so I didn’t comment but boy, did I miss seeing you in color! Color just lights up your face!
Great video. Best explanation of color theory. I finally get it. Please do more videos on this,so helpful.❤
Hi Karen, I'm thrilled you found the video helpful - I will be doing a lot more color videos! 💕
Yay! Color is back😁😁 I'm feeling so much happier already!!
I'm glad you enjoy the colors 💕💚, Heather!
So am I!
As a family and consumer sciences teacher for 40 years I taught these concepts to my students. Such a great video on basics of color. I love seeing you in your colorful wardrobe pieces. Thanks for sharing!
I LOVED your neutral capsule, so sophisticated and practical. The colors you love can be added to those basics to help make your wardrobe and life POP!
You are absolutely right! You'll see lots of my neutral capsule with pops of color in upcoming videos 😃
Haven't even watched yet, but YAY!!! Colour is back!! Ok, going to watch now!
I've tried the neutral capsule before, and to me, it felt like a punishment. I'm glad that color is back!
Yay! Color is back!🥰
Nancy, you look beautiful! Awesome video! Looking forward to your series on color!❣️
Love your hair.
So glad you're back in colors Nancy! You look younger, more alive and happier 😊
Nancy you love vibrant with color! ❤. Although the neutral pallet you tried was interesting; adding some color to that capsule wardrobe wouldn’t hurt. I am big fan of blues, reds, purple and green and occasional pink.
So glad colour is back!
You look very pretty in pink!
Thank you for this video, I'm so happy to see you using colors again, you look elegantly beautiful.
Colour is just more fun. Almost everything I have is bloe with some hot pink, bright orange and lilac pops. I have a few neutrals for balance but for me its mostly monochrome blue. Also makes it weasy to match ;-D
Color is more fun! Thanks for sharing your faves!🤩
Color is so much more than what you look good in. I would suggest looking into JENNIFER BUTLER COLOR out of California. She studied with the foremost color expert, Suzanne Caygill, who was the pioneer of color and "essences" of personality. She has categories of personal colors such as "power colors" and "romantic colors". She says we are often attracted to a different palette of colors than our own, and that makes a difference. I love the muted, dusty colors of summer but I am a Vital Spring, so I wear forest green, ocean blue and mustard yellow.
Contrast. That's the one word you said that I think needs to be emphasized more. Some of us can wear almost all colors, as long as there is high contrast. That also means that there needs to be some aspect of a block of color because contrasting colors in a small pattern may read as neutral and won't have the same impact.
Hi, this capsule wardrobe is really not suitable for everyone. It's nice, that there are people, who are playful and can combine patterns. Love all of your videos , you are one of the best 😍
Thank you so much for your kind words! 😍
I agree with the viewer that said she missed your color. You do look wonderful in colors. I’m not sure the color of the year is for me. It used to be when my hair was darker. But now that it’s kind of salt and pepper it doesn’t look great. Maybe if I had a tan. I love color. But can only wear certain ones now. I did wear a bright fuchsia sweatshirt today. And it did brighten my day. I usually wear more color in the summer in my t shirts. But I do have some warmer clothes that are colorful.
I loved the classic capsule with the lack of bright colors.
Thanks so much, Christine! Do you usually wear neutral colors?
Yes. I only wear black, white, navy, leopard print, and gray. Rarely I will add another color such as yellow, blue (cobalt), or red. No beige or khaki as those shades look terrible on me. I find that my sundresses are the more colorful pieces. I thought that the classic capsule was more youthful and sharp on you. @@shoppingonchampagne
With all due respect I like the neutrals and the capsule wardrobe better. I like a little color here and there. What I don't like is the big prints and bright colors. At least not so much of it. This is just my opinion, I don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Nancy is the sweetest lady ever. I really enjoy her videos and have learned a lot about styling from her. Her channel is so much fun. Thank you for all of your hard work Nancy.
I wear neutral tones cus its easier to match everything but lately ive wanted to add colour back but dont know how to go back.
Love your video and your shirt
Thank you so much, Teresa! 💕
Love that you are rocking your usual colors! You look beautiful ❤❤❤
Oop's, I forgot to come back & comment until now 😮. This video on colour was just as informative, delightful & fun as I thought it would be. Lastly, so glad to see that you've regained your mind (said w/ tongue in cheek), & are wearing colour again!!😊😊
Hi Maria, thanks for your kind words; I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and that I didn't lose this 🧠🤪
Yes! So where do you fall Nancy? I loved your neutrals in your capsule wardrobe and I see you're in a beautiful, vibrant blouse today. Do you lean more one way? For myself I tend to love neutrals and solids but today I'm wearing a parka from Farm Rio that is wildly colorful and patterned. It's not my go-to by any stretch but I like it now and then.
I was so pleased to see you back in color! 🎉🎉🎉 I felt like others but didn't speak up, sorry.
Delighted you've returned to happy colors Nancy! n You look wonderful in this LP print!
Thanks also for the essential wardrobe show. Though black/grey/white/moss green arent' for me, would very much like to put together 30 + pieces for springs such as: warm brown/ivory/etc.
. Always has been a monumentally tough for bright springs to get through each winter among a sea of blacks/greys/whites. lol
I love colors 😍😍😍
I love thinking about color and how it plays out in my clothing!
Captivating! Love you wearing your bold colors again. Brings life to your look and your energy seems higher. I also liked your neutral wardrobe but felt it could use some pops of color. My best colors are blue and green. I'm also trying to incorporate more saturated pink and red (cool red). I'm happy about you making more color videos. Can you delve into cool vs warm please?
just what i needed to hear ❤❤❤
I'm so glad the video resonated with you, Debbie!
Haha! "Nancy, Nancy, Nancy! Have you lost you're mind!?!" OMG, HILARIOUS!!! With that said, I do have a question regarding Color Analysis: I had a professional color analysis done & was shocked by the results. I'm a "Soft Autumn" and look best in colors that resemble a Thanksgiving dinner, cinnamon buns with icing, lattes, for example, you get the idea...plus the blues and greens that appear in Lilly Pulitzer's Multi Soiree All Day and classic Navy Blue. I adore the Hibiscus top you're wearing but the pinks in that top aren't "recommended" for me. Have you ever had a professional color analysis done? Would LOVE to hear your thoughts. My color analysis was done by House of Colour, a UK company. PS: Adore your channel; you're FANTASTIC!
So Glad to see you in "your color style". I have a set of colors, yet when the tone is right for me I will buy a trending color. Great video.
I like the black wardrobe. Please tell me if you used a hair product on your hair for this video. We have very similar cuts and my hair is gray. Your hair looks extra nice in this video. Thanks.
It is all very interesting. The color pieces make me feel more energetic and happy. I liked your capsule wardrobe too but that pop of color, like in decorating does something to liven things up!
I am a soft summer and usually stay with muted monochrome neutral colors, but I do crave color from time to time. I don't want to bring alot of colors into my wardrobe and complicate the balance I now have, so I went thrift shopping and in one store I found a belt rack with talbot and ann taylor leather belts, a few neutrals and I also got colors, yeah. Soft red suede, hot pink, mustard yellow, lavender, silver metallic so now when I crave color I can add a belt for a pop of color and if it does not work out or I tire of the belts I only paid 2.99 each and I can pass them on to my colorful friends. I enjoy your channel. Thanks
I have to admit I just watched your capsule wardrobe video and immediately dismissed it because the colors were so boring. Yes I could change the colors up with no problem, but why would I limit myself to three colors? There's a whole rainbow out there! I understand the concept and I think it works for certain people, I'm just not one of them.😂
I completely understand that and I'm a huge fan of color as well. I created a very simple capsule wardrobe, as you saw so that others could understand the concept, but you can go as wild with colors as you'd like with a capsule. You might enjoy this very colorful capsule I created: czcams.com/video/daKaG70FxPs/video.htmlsi=KpQqvPBjlzHWpd1V

I like to wear a lot of pink and light blue, but I am almost turning 40 and I feel like maybe the colors are not appropriate at my age anymore what do you suggest I do to keep wearing the colors I love ? Thanks

I don't mean to sound rude but I'm curious as to why you reply to some comments and not others? If we are commenting at about the same time and are being polite and positive and taking the time to give input to your content, why not at least acknowledge it? It seems unusual that only some comments get a reply and others don't. Just curious. I do enjoy your videos but I'm less inclined to comment when there's no interaction.
