Absolutely awesome story. This story hits me a little more than others, my great uncle, whom I never met, was also a fighter pilot in the 8th Air force during WW2. Lt. John R. Bernert, pilot of a P51D Mustang assigned to the 374 fighter squadron, 361 fighter group, 8th air force. Unfortunately he was killed July 5th, 1944 when his fighter group came in contact with 10 Messerschmitt Bf109s over Normandy. A french farmer reached out to my family some years after the war and told that my great uncle and a Bf109 went up to dogfight eachother, my uncle came down and landed in his field and when the farmer got to his plane, my great uncle was dead in the cockpit. This man's story is the closest I'll ever get to hearing my great uncles stories he could have told of the war. This channel doesn't get nearly enough praise for the amazing history it preserves through these vets. God Bless and Thank you for the great content!
P.S. My uncle is buried in Epinal American Cemetary in Epinal, France and he actually has a small monument stone in the field where he crash landed.

I just want to thank all three of you for putting on these podcasts they’re so real and authentic and straight from the heart and it just confirms that I’m 51 rolling around in the new Skateparks, but I’m a skateboarder and I always will be skateboarder. It’s in our DNA.
I’ve been heckled people that I call my friends that really aren’t my friends. My old skater friends are my real friends for good or bad.
Watching this, reminds me that we are a family and that the rest of the world can look at us how they want but I know when I see another Skater specially somebody older than 30 !! lol jk. When I see any Skater , I know that they are family.
I truly love your message. All three of you are legends in my heart and soul. We really should stick together through the tough times and it’s so nice to see you guys together and thank you for the positive message.
BTW I’m 51 and I just dropped in on our 5 ft. Mini ! Felt great. Been skating now for 6 months and I couldn’t do it !
My fear wouldn’t let me but I worked and worked on it !
Like we do I broke through that fear and achieved my goal!

I am a avid WW II Historian, & I collect many WW II artifacts, & I collect large, 1:18 Scale WW II Planes, & the 2nd. one I got, was BUD ANDERSON's "OLD CROW", & at the time I knew his name, & a little about his P-51 Mustang, & its an exact copy, right down to the paint job, & I've learned more & more about him, & every other WW II Vet I can learn about, & his story, & Spirit are truly incredible, & I thank them all silently, all the time for all they have done, on the ground, On the Sea, Under the Sea, & In the Air.! Our Country's getting torn apart from the inside out, & these stories have a huge impact upon me, & when I see American's fighting other American's, It truly makes me sick inside.! We've came so far, & done so much as a GREAT COUNTRY, & to see political situations tearing this great nation apart, I can only guess just how bad it truly makes them feel.! "It's a cryin' Ass Shame".! We can do far better, & we cannot let this happen. So many lives were given in so many wars for this great country, & it's up to every single one of us to do better, & no matter your beef, put it past you, & think about great guys that lived, fought, & so many died, that we owe it to each USA Vet, to do every single thing we can to stop the American's fighting other American's, & put your differences aside, & realize we are all nothing in comparison to what's been laid down before you.! Get over it, & then help other American's fighting other American's, to do the same, before we loose this GREAT NATiON.! It's truly up to each & every one of us to do so until we're one GREAT NATiON AGAIN.! We owe it to every Vet, "Not The Money Grubbing Politician's" No matter what war war they fought in, &, alive, or dead, they fought for your, & The World's Freedom.! So that you, & I may live in absolute FREEDOM.!

I'm so glad you are continuing this project. You interviewed my grandfather in Florida a day or two ago. Unfortunately, my grandmother died a few weeks ago so I wasn't sure if my grandfather was going to be feeling up to the interview. It turns out he was really looking forward to it and it helped keep his mind occupied. I just wish I could have been there, but I'm still in Afghanistan. I'm looking forward to seeing the video. Keep doing what you're doing.

IT WAS A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU at one brief moment Col. Anderson, back in the early 2000's. It was at Seattle's Museum of Flight -during a group talk and book signing. Nearly 20 years later, I still have your numbered art print I hang on my wall, titled, "Can't talk, gotta' shoot," that you personally signed, along with all of the signatures of the surviving members of the squadron and support crew. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. A very memorable moment for me. someone who has so much respect for what you men did back then in your youth with your squadron of Mustangs and your flying and fighting skills to further the cause of freedom for countless of souls for all the years since that time to today and beyond. Along with this nation and the world I am grateful for your service and of your fellow crew - past and present, as well as those who fought and were lost. God bless all of you.

God bless you, Colonel Anderson. I wish I could sit and talk with you. I had the honor of knowing one of your fellow fighter pilots, Colonel Gerald Edwards of the 325th Fighter Group (Checkertail Clan). He and I spent many hours at his home, just across the AuSable River from mine talking about his time as a pilot. The term "Greatest Generation" is very, very accurate.

Friday, May 17th, 2024 was a sad day for not just the Anderson family but for American history. A lot of people do not comprehend the significance of this generation and what they did for our peace and freedom. I shedded a few tears when I read he passed on Friday. R.i.p Bud Anderson. You are and will always be a shining beacon of hope and inspiration for many generations to come.

Hello from Bailey, NC. First of all let me say thank you for making these videos. My Daddy was in WW2, he was a combat medic in General Patton's 664th armored tank division, and I've got a couple of old 8mm videos of my Dad when he was telling one of my friends one of his war stories, I've got one where he actually got to see one of his war buddies again, and that was in either the mid to late 70's or early 80's, but the look on my Daddy's face when he got to see "Butch" again was absolutely priceless!! Daddy being a combat medic, AND being in old "blood and guts" General George Patton's 664th my Daddy sure had many of his TRUE war stories, in fact, he had WAY TO MANY war stories for just one man! He saw the horrors of the concentration camps, where and how the many Jewish and American people were slaughtered and then their bodies just pushed into a giant hole which they forced the prisoners to dig their own graves! Yes, my Daddy saw all of that aftermath of death. He said he could still smell the dead bodies 50 years later. I'm not just saying this because he's my Daddy, but I TRULY believe that EVERY veteran is a REAL, TRUE AMERICAN BADASS, and ESPECIALLY the ones from the "class of 45" who didn't have all this new technology like the military does now!! THINK about that one.

I also got to speak to Bob Hoover little although back then I had no idea who he was other then his airshow performance where he performs engine out aerobatics.
