I know I’m not alone but I just absolutely love Henry Winkler! He just seems like one of the greatest people out there! So kind and genuine!
yOU ARE ALONE WITH 100 MILLION OTHER PROPLE
I find it quite striking how his early fame, and brother it was intense, almost like the 2nd coming of Elvis, didn't go to his head and after all the teeny boppers faded away he never tried to reclaim it or chase after past glories. He's just an actor who enjoys his craft.
I just love him to pieces!
I met him at Vancouver Fan Expo a few years back, he is truly a gem.
He is allegedly one of the nicest guys in showbiz. I don't doubt it for a second.
Henry winkler dropping "F" BOMB,
Didn't know I needed to hear this today 😀😀😀😀😀
That killed me! 🤣
Same! 😂
The drink AFTER the F bomb was sooo good. Legend 😅
WTF is WRONG with you?
"I went home and had a ginger ale. John Travolta went home and bought a plane."
Hilarious!
WTF is WRONG with you? WTF are you smoking?
"At that time, I had great legs." 😂😂😂 Even someone way in the back was laughing.
Night Shift is one of the most under-rated movies. Totally hysterical. Both Henry and Michael were fantastic. I still laugh out loud when I see it.
It's one of my favorite movies. I'd put it in my top 10, maybe 5.
I love how Michael Keaton breaks down the word prostitution! 😂 I mimic parts of that one frequently! “ from the Latin word meaning to shun!…”🤣 sadly, no one around me gets it.
And Ron Howard made Shelly Long into a total dream girl. I had a huge crush on her for years, and watched the first season of Cheers because of Ron's incredible directing. The talent in that movie is insane and leaps right across the screen. And Henry is so giving, he let Michael steal every scene, but you loved him in the end for it.
Henry is such a class act he has the best stories and is always willing to share them.
The dude is 75. He's in great shape for 75.
It doesn’t matter how bad I’ve felt, I watch Henry Winkler and he never fails to make me feel better.
This man is a national treasure.
I had the pleasure of meeting Henry Winkler at a comic con and he is absolutely the nicest guy imaginable. He probably met 1,000 people that day but managed to make me feel like I mattered to him (I'm not so egotistical to believe that I did, but that he would make the effort to project that is impressive).
I'd say that you DID matter to him, actually... but you know, so did the other 999 people he met that day. He seems like the kind of person who believes everybody is important, everybody matters, until you show him otherwise.
When Henry says "Hey alright" at 2:24 that made me smile. He channeled "Fonzie" again so easily.
1:10 ALSO
When he says "Heyyyy alright" and the end of the Jump the Shark story, he sounds exactly the same as he did as the Fonz in the 70's.
And why wouldn't he?
I work with a lady who used to be a TSA at the local airport. I asked her if she had run across any athletes/celebrities and which were the nicest and the most unpleasent. She didn't hesitate to say Henry Winkler was one of the nicest, down to earth and genuine celebrities she had encountered.
People have no idea how popular this man was back in the 70s. His performance in Barry has been nothing short of spectacular.
Some do I'm 52 and lived in the day of happy days when it was new
Henry Winkler is a gem!
Henry is incredible, but I love that he pointed out the two writers who now get a king's ransom to punch up scripts. Writers are rarely given the credit they deserve, though they're always given the blame when things go south.
Night shift is an all time hidden jem, such a fucking blast, lol
I want... I need a sequel.
Hey man, these people are dead!
LOVE IT
Night Shift was a fun movie.
Shelly Long in panties and half top and no bra. Nice
Netflix I know You're listening. Get Night Shift. Hidden treasure for sure.
Mad respect - humble and not afraid to show it !!
Henry is the best! Dan has to bring him back. The stories are incredible.
I met Henry once and he is one of the most genuine, down to earth celebrities you will ever find! He is absolutely amazing and I could spend all day with him. Great interview and the planet is lucky to have this kind soul. May he continue to work and prosper. We love you.
Night Shift is one of my favorite films. Listening to him talk about it was a treat. The whole thing was. He is incredibly funny.
About being typecast in Grease, he’s totally right. What wasn’t mentioned was that he appeared in a movie called The Lords of Flatbush, about a 50’s greaser gang which was the first role to gain him notice (along with castmate Sylvester Stallone). It led directly to being cast as The Fonz. Three 50’s greaser roles in a row and he’d be finished. Also, he was 33 years old in 1978 while Travolta was 24 - just a bit closer to high school age.
@MDK2
This is the second half of this segment. Watch the first half...they talk about the things you mentioned. And...the first half of this interview is even better than this half. Check it out. Fun stuff!
Sweet! I would love to hear him talk about Lords. I remember thinking the Fonz was more real because of that movie. He was just cool. Period.
@@CharmCityCrystals I will, thanks!
@@CharmCityCrystals Thanks for adding your comment! I'm definitely going to check that out too! 😃
Yeah, but one of those Pink Ladies in Grease looked about 40
Michael Keaton is a phenomenal actor...
Would you go so far as to say, "National Treasure" ? mmmmm? Lol
@@charlie-obrien No that was Nick Cage
He's also Michael Douglas. Look it up, I kid you not.
My favorite line in Night Shift, “Barney Rubble, what an actor”.
True! Also, "Hey Chuck? Who is this? Your wife?" "Fiancee" "Nice frame!"
Hahahahaaaa, one of the funniest unknown movies of all time
The relationship with Chuck and his wife in Night Shift was so damn funny.
Name of deceased..."Something Polish?"
Shelly Long tho! She was hot in this movie!
Henry is an example to follow. Genuine and human. ❤
Finally. Night Shift gets some recognition. Hold the phone Chuck!
Check out
Mother Jugs and Speed
The Fonz along with The Duke Boys were my hero’s growing up. Kids don’t have a lot of hero’s like them anymore.
Yes. The guys from Chips were also heros to a lot of kids in the 70's and 80's.
That would have been a cross over, huh?
Fonz helps them Duke boys catch the bad guy on his motorcycle after getting a flat tire on the way to Mayberry
Henry Winkler is legend. And he is the Fonz!
You gotta love Henry Winkler!
Winkler is a national treasure
Yo! After all these years, Henry Winkler can still slip out that "Fonze" - Hey... Loved it.
Thanks Mr. Winkler for being one of the cool guys of the 70's for us little kids.
The last of the best of them. Humility and class!!
I remember watching Happy Days, back in the day, it was my favourite show. Whenever I was in trouble, growing up, my parents would ask me, "Would Arthur Fonzerelli act like this?", or "Would Arthur Fonzerelli do that?"
It always kept me in line. It was also the only way they could get me to eat my vegetables. Lmao!
If there is one celebrity in Hollywood who I could listen to their stories and never get bored,....it's Henry Winkler.
Life is so short and I’m gonna try to spend my time with positive loving folks like mr winkler.
He made the right decision with Night Shift. That role showed a different but equally great side of him.
I missed so much Henry Winkler from between Night Shift and Better Late than Never. I hope he's around for a long time. What a guy.
I watch a lot of celebrity interviews, one way or another. "Celebrity True or False" is one of my faves.
I went home and had a ginger ale. Lol
This is what is amazing to me as a 54 year old dude … idolized him as a kid… today he is still my favorite human being
The Fonz dropping the "F" Bomb. CLASSIC!!!!!
Henry Winkler always seems like the most genuine, nicest guy you could meet.
Honestly, HW needs his own one-man show. I could listen to him talk for hours. What a tresure.
I love this man.
A childhood buddy of mine met Mr. Winkler and he said Henry was the kindest man he ever met.
How can you not love Henry Winkler..
The two segments are easily the greatest True or False ever done.
Henry Winkler is just the best. I Never grow tired of hearing from him.
I saw Henry Winkler in the mid to late 80s while taking a shortcut around Burbank/Glendale. We were at a red light park next to each other, I looked at him, he looked at me, he gave me a nod, and the light turned green.
Did you win?
Man, could Henry Winkler be any cooler? He is the man.
Man I remember when I watched this I remember when it was advertised and I lost sleep all week waiting for the episode to air
Everything I learn about Henry Winkler makes me like him more
How can you not love this guy?
To hear him curse and tell stories is so awesome!
They way he slipped that in there at the end of the #1 for the next five years was beautiful.
I'm never disappointed when I watch an interview with Henry Winkler.
He is so good in Click
Love Henry Winkler! Great man. 👍👍
Henry’s attitude and personality is infectious! He was so good in Barry I’m so happy the show stuck the landing and will be able to live on as one of the greats and not one that “jumped the shark!”
I wanna hear more Henry Winkler stories.
Night Shift is a great underrated film!
I could watch hours and hours of this👍😎👍
Winkler is great. I wish we were able to see more of him. A great actor and a great guy.
Night Shift is 100% underrated.
1/4 of Americans where watching Happy Days in its prime.. it was a ratings Bonanza..
Great interviewee
Night Shift absolutely a classic film it’s one of those movies you can watch all the time and never stop laughing Michael Keaton absolutely killed it This is Bill telling Chuck to shut up I say that to coworkers sometimes they don’t know what I’m talking about then I tell them look up Night Shift then they crack the hell up and wind up watching the movie Raaadical
It's actually: "Hello this is Chuck to remind Bill to SHUT UP!"
"We got booze and broads in the car, under age broads"
Great stories!!
What a legend
Winkler did a very nice version of A Christmas Carol (called "An American Christmas Carol", shot around Elora, Ontario) during his lull that I don't think gets mentioned enough.
everyone ALWAYS throws out "NATIONAL TREASURE" at every Tom, Dick and Jane actor/entertainer that comes along.
so much so that its become so watered down that it means nothing anymore.
Henry is the TRUE definition of that appellation that so few of the others that receive it deserve!
Love him since watching the re runs as a kid on Saturday afternoons after baseball games ( kids more: re runs were when they played old episodes at random on TV during the off season or after the show ended... NO STREAMING 😱🙄)
Never bored with Henry Winkler
I got to hear The Fonz drop an F bomb. Legendary.
my favorite part in night shift is when Michael talks about feeding mayonnaise to tuna fish🙂
Microwave clothing
Nice frame
Edible paper
".... call Starkist in the morning." (Speaking into his micro tape recorder)
2:17 Best part
Awesome!!!
Hey, Henry Winkler didn't mention Ricky McCormick, the national water ski champion who was waterskiing in that episode!
"Night Shift" truly did set up Keaton's career. And hey, imagine if Winkler HAD taken both the Zuko/Travolta and Keaton roles. Maybe we'd have never heard about 'em.
This man was one of my lunchboxes in elementary school.
My favorite Michael Keaton line from Night Shift - “I wash my hands AND FEET of you!”
As a kid, I remember reading in Dynamite Magazine in my local elementary school library that while Henry Winkler was The Fonz on TV, he was a much different person in real life and that he didn’t style his hair that way, he didn’t ride a motorcycle and he didn’t wear a black leather jacket. It was shocking 😮 for such a young kid like me to find that out.
im floored this man is still alive
That’s Barry Zuckerkorn. He’s very good.
I love Henry so much. He’s a national treasure.
when Henry Winkler goes, so does my childhood 😢 STILL Fonzie cool aaaaaaayyyyye class act
Dang Ol Fonz. Office in the bathroom😂😂
2:41 this seems like such an essential parent/grandparent thing to say. It's not even about when you were born. My grandparents are in Henry Winkler's generation and I can absolutely picture them saying that.
When I see Henry Winkler I think Water Boy.
...in the high heels!
Henry is a class act.
Henry Winkler is my favorite celebrity, by far. He is just great.
Nice going, Dad! 😎
I remember Winkler working with Adam Sandler in the movie "Click" and in the remake of the "The Waterboy". He also did a movie (The Only Way Out) with John Ritter where he was the bad guy chasing John Ritter. I don't remember what it was called. Another movie was he was one of the ones murdered in a scary movie (Scream?). I don't remember what that one was called.
What a great story teller.
Henry Winkler is the greatest actor of all time. Ok, well I'm a bit biased - we share the same last name😁
Night Shift one of my favourites
This interview really jumped the shark
Happy Days was one of the shows that most of the kids in my large family would sit and actually pay attention to. Every week we would watch the show. Before the end of the second half of the shark episode, I was sitting by myself because all my older siblings had declared that "Happy Days is stupid now.." or something similar. Fonzi had gone from one of the coolest guys to a has been right before my eyes. Hard lesson for a young kid to grasp..
Night Shift is an underrated classic.
We must protect Henry Winkler at all costs.
My uncle worked in show business for several decades and pretty much had only negative things to say about the many, many famous actors, writers, producers, dancers, singers, musicians, and directors that he worked with. Henry Winkler was only one of two people in show business that my uncle actually had nice things to say about. Linda Gray was the other one. Henry must be a really great guy if my uncle liked him. My uncle pretty much hates everyone, famous or not.
