Thinking about B.Roy's career makes me wanna cry
+3D Kstxd true
Sweaaa man smh, it's crazy I be thinking like why BRoy? He was next up after Kobe.
+3D Kstxd I agree they would've probably had a couple of rings by now and BRoy could have been the Tim Duncan of SGs but way more exciting to watch. A quiet guy but does nothing but win and lead his team.
on god bruh d-rose as well
52 in that era is like 62 today. Roy was amazing
A team with prime Roy, Oden and Aldridge would have been good enough to defeat the NBA refs and bring a title to Portland
damon lilliard, brandon roy, nick batum (when motivated), lamarcus alderidge, greg oden...woooooo
matt barnes was getting torched lol
0:49 bro just said 2010 in 2008.
man fuck the injuries! If Roy and Oden weren't so injury prone, the blazers would've been a scary team
+Pepe Billete The Oden-Aldridge-Roy trio would have been monstruous if all had been healthy...
+DereMemo The thing is, Blazers have gotten Lillard from the Nets's 2012 draft pick, which they had by trading Gerald Wallace, but they might not have gone for Wallace if Roy had still been healthy at the time (they acquired him in 2011, when Roy was already nearing the end of his Blazers's carrer), so there is no way to know if they would have had him...
+Romain Delannorat no way to definitively tell but yeah i doubt they still end up with lillard in that scenario.
+John Johnson they wouldn't have gotten cj or lillard if Roy had stayed healthy.
they would've never been in the lottery to draft lillard that year
WAT. 52 on 27 shots and 19/21 freethrows. Hella efficient performance. one for the ages.
An then people hate harden for making 20 free throws while having a 40 point game
Ali escheik the fouls on roy in and most other players when they have that many free throws it's because teams can't stop them so they choose to foul them instead, harden initiates almost all of his fouls
FreezeMayhem thank you....
Still had a better career than 90 percent of his draft class
The other 10 percent are Lamarcus Aldrige,Rajon Rondo,Paul Millsap and Roy
Kyle Lowry, Rudy Gay, JJ Redick
He the best player in that draft skill wise
Brandon Roy was a beast man...He had size and had PG ball handling with nice touch and had a Mid range game like no other. He would probably be the best SG right now if it wasn't for those damn injuries.
James Harden is pretty damn good
+Damian Trillard "if" it wasn't for those injuries. I see where you coming from, if kobe didnt tear his achilles who knows, maybe he will play 2-3 more seasons and won't retire after this
+Damian Trillard he and lillard are my favorite players of all time i cant decide who i like more. I feel like its lillard just because he still plays, but the memories of B-roy were awesome.
+Damian Trillard LOL if wasn't for these injurys he would be ass by now as he's salary is high blazers would want to trade him for fucking Tony Wroten.
LeSambi Winstead well said brother. That sums him. Size, Up smooth as fuck, handles and mid range. Clutch. Game was unique. Amazing person too
2k should probably make a throwback diamond of brandon roy
Hellllll yeah , shit they put a diamond scola
Yes, and they need a historic blazers team with him.
Your wish came true
2 years later it happen
It happened brother
When I played ball against my friends in high school, this was the guy I patterned my game after. His fundamentals were flawless, his personality was genuine, and his passion for the game was contagious.
If injuries didn't end his career prematurely, Brandon Roy would be an MVP candidate every year alongside LeBron James, Stephen Curry, James Harden, and so on.
Thumbs up if you think Roy would've been better than Lillard
Comment if you think Lillard was still better
Lillard And Roy Will Be Awesome Together!
***** That is the most stupidest comment I've ever read on CZcams.
^ "most stupidest"? Lol, got to love that irony.
+Allen LaWalter Allen LaDumbass
+xPsyrate no way to tell, but now we know lillard is the real deal.
I love how you edit the free throws, showing the foul then having the free throws in the corner as the clip from the aftermath of the foul plays. I just love Dawkins! If anyone hasn't, sign the petition on Change.org to bring the original Dawkins channel back.
can't believe he's only 32 years old damn. his career ended right before his prime years.
LOL @ Nash missing that layup.
i miss roy :(
Maaan I always get super sad when I watch his highlights, would've beeen best SG right now and one of the best all time. Brandon Roy was built for startdom, had the size, skill set, high izq, was clutch and even was athletic just didn't rely on it and used his energy wisely. Such a package set up for greatness if it wasn't for injuries 😪. Once in a while I go back and dream of Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Brandon Roy staying healthy and reaching their full potential. The buzz was real in Portland, we had reporters in the middle of writing books about the "big 3" because we were sure we were gonna win rings. Ended up falling apart..
Damn man... f*****g injuries.
D Rose should be greatful his knees didn't quit on em.
Could of really been something special, Injuries suck #StayMeloMyFriends
Blazers would've probably won a chip wit Aldridge Roy and Lillard
Dim Richy They probably wouldn't have gotten the draft pick to get lillard if they had Brandon Roy.
archerboy316 No offense... but if B-Roy stayed healthy... they wouldn't have needed Lillard.
GodMelo Anthony There you are again!
He WAS something special.
Damn he and steve blake played great together!
2k should definitely add the '08 blazers
Steve Blake balled in this game too.
I wish this man would have had a long career but things happen for a reason 🤦🏾♂️🙏🏿
Portland Trail Blazers really cant get enough of SCORING GUARDS
Roy, Lillard, Drexler & Cj
Him and T Mac are my all time favorites that couldn't stay healthy. Not their fault but man oh man. They both deserve to be apart of the all time great with no rings list
lets get a prime gerald wallace vid. show some love for one of the most under appreciated players during his prime.
If he was still in the game....... Best shooting guard in the game. Take him over Harden and Wade any day.
MusicWorldVNT/Monkey D. Luffy harden > roy and it's not close. Wade? lol. no shit.
I mean back in Roy's day, not now. Wait even now I still take Roy.lol
MusicWorldVNT/Monkey D. Luffy wade averaged 30.2ppg 08-09 season...
HeatFan3 That year Roy was very injury pron too. Wade is a better scorer but Roy was a better shooter and stronger player.
MusicWorldVNT/Monkey D. Luffy Roy was a better 3pt shooter than dwade, but I wouldn't say Roy was a stronger player. Dwade got to the basket at will and was one of the best at finishing plays through contact.
Roy was a beast when he was healthy!!
Dude made 3 All-Star games, 2 All-NBA teams, and led the Blazers to 3 playoff appearances in his 5 years in the league. Imagine if he didn't have the injury problems....dude would probably be in the conversation with Kobe & D-Wade as one of the greatest shooting guards of this generation.
So many career highs on Phoenix haha. Loved the Nash years regardless.
Brandon was that dudeeeeee
I shed a little tear :(
sick! I wish he was still playing in the nba!
miss the midrange game
this guy was such a baller. i miss seeing him play.
We love ya B Roy!
I missed this guy
I'm a 76ers fan, and the only guy Markelle Fultz truly reminds me of is Brandon Roy, and watching their highlights confirms it for me.
He was COLD.
Imagine Roy lillard Aldridge and oden all together. Just an unfortunate amount of injuries for the Blazers over the years.
Miss you B. Roy! RIP Craig. Pray for us brother!
Favorite player of all time
His jumper was so beautiful
RIP Craig
Roy > curry
Eat Shiit Last time I checked curry a pg idiot Roy was a Sg
Yao and Brandon are HOFs if they add ten years to their career. Neither relied on athleticism and both had major skill and footwork that translate into old age.... unlike Tracy McGrady and Penny Hardaway whom people adore for what reasons (fanatics) I'll never understand.
Da Forest can you read boy? And who the fuck you calling 12? Take your illiterate ass back to school.
more highlights of Brandon Roy pls..
5:53 the most surprising thing in this video Tony Parker 55pts???
55 and 10
DereMemo was* and yes it was surprinsing...
Lillard, Roy and Aldridge...what a tandem that would've been.
Brandon Roy, Monta Ellis, Danny Granger, Dirk Nowitski, Gilbert Arenas, Jason Kidd, Tracy Mcgrady, Vince Carter. Man the mid 2000's were fun to watch!
Don't forget Kobe
And Kwame Brown
J'aurais tellement kiffé le voir jouer encore :'(
Sad that this will be a decade ago in 2 years smh
Miss my favorite basketball player
Brandon Roy, Lamarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden really could have been something if health wasn't a problem
Love his fucking final shoot on Yao's rocket, respect!
I remember when I was little I said if I miss this shot Brandon Roy will retire! I missed and then the next day he was injured! WHY DID I HAVE TO MISS THAT SHOT!!!??
So it's ur fault huh 😡
Choke
He had a great career.
Imagine this- healthy Brandon Roy, healthy Greg Oden, Cj Mccollum, Lamarcus Aldridge, and Damian Lillard. Scary team there!
Chances are, if Brandon Roy and Greg Oden stayed healthy, they wouldn't have drafted Damian or CJ
+ThatsThatBull The dame pick wasn't Portland's pick, it was another teams so they would of had him, and CJ was drafted by the Spurs I think, so they would of had them both
+TitanKiller they probably wouldn't have needed cj cuz they had Wes Matthews if Roy was healthy
+Ali escheik but Cj was Wes backup when he left this year he got the spot
+Unkown Bih im saying if Roy stayed healthy Wes Mathews would be off the bench and cj would've probably not been drafted by the blazers
Healty Roy+healty Oden damn they will be good as a play off contenders
Poor Brandon Roy :L that man could have been so freakin good.
injuries suck bro he would make the NBA so much fun in this era
He was a cold killer. He was Timmy D as a guard. He had no holes in his game.
Watching his interview reminds me of nba2k my career lol
One of my all time fav Blazers. If only his knees had held out. What could have been?
Best blazer ever
Prime B-Roy and prime D-Rose were 2 of the best guards I've ever seen
Damn. Imagine him with Dame and LaMarcus.
R. David you're a fucking idiot. If Roy had never gotten hurt, they're more than likely not in the lottery and in position to draft lillard. fuckin dumbass
Buster Posey Thank you sir. May i just remind you that Lillard was drafted with the Nets' pick (the pick was acquired in a trade for Gerald Wallace).
Now please, kindly fuck off my screen :-D
HawksAndFalcons Fan Nah, a healthy Greg Oden is science fiction.
Buster Posey get burned dumbass
+Buster Posey lmao you look dumb as hell
Roy was better than Dwade, Kobe, LeBron. I don't care what anyone says. So skilled offensively. No weakness.
Roy Rose Yao Hardaway ,Drazen Petrovic Lord knows what these guys could have been
Useless PersonalOpinions McGrady
Batum's rookie year and Robin Lopez's rookie year lol. i saw the froo froo haircut on the bench
Look how Lamarcus Aldridge turn into
I wish they would put this guy in 2k lol
rip brandon roy and greg oden
They didn't die. Poopnugget......
lol use to hate guarding this man in 2k
I wish he was still healthy cuz imagin a lineup with lillard, roy, batum, aldridge, and oden.
Lillard, Roy, WES splashthews, LaMidrange, Sideshow Bob aka Robin Lopez
If Roy stayed healthy the blazers probably wouldn't have gotten lillard tho
+Tyler Jacob Yes they still would have gotten Lillard because they flipped Greald Wallace for a first round pick.
C_Manuel No.
C_Manuel it wouldnt have been a lottery pick they were playoff contenders with aldrige and roy
Damn that Blazers team was sick!
Roy, Blake, Anderson, Smith, Okland, Pederson, Smeight, Johnsoen. They should have done much better!
you could understand why the blazers passed on KD and picked Oden instead.
Can we have some Micheal Redd highlights
+Drake Schaefer LMFAO!!!!
overrated
We good fam
R.I.P Craig Sager
Just imagine.... Oden, Aldridge, Batum, Roy and Lillard. If Roy and Oden didn't got injuries
Imagine Roy and Lillard on the same team
+Dean Ambrose Could have been Roy and KD
Injuries suck. Roy and Tracy McGrady were two special players impacted by injuries
Imagine a healthy B-Roy, Dame, and LA?? That would have been a scary site !
don't forget Greg Oden too. They would have an almost complete frontcourt and backcourt.
+Gredi Nainggolan Cj is pretty good
along with Cj
epic
roy was awesome my 2nd fav players of all time but man those teams played 0 DEFENSE LOL
any yao ming vintage vids?
Do a Vintage Steph Curry 54 pts.
The last lay up by Nash... How did he miss it? ^^
It was from a bad dribbling possesion, even if it is the easiest shot in basketball,if it's not set up right, chances are it's not going in,
am i the only one that the commentator said 2nd round draft pic but this game was in 2008 go back to 0:49
jamal cooper it was a future second rounder in 2010
Very fundamental and shifty
Can we get some Wall n Beal highlights 46 in total yo
Do vintage Dirk against kg and the timberwolves in the playoffs
Jimmy Butler remind me of Roy playstyle
+FISHURMOMBALL Bradley Beal is more of a comparison to me.
Now Nash blew an open layup lol.
top 5 SG ever if he stayed healthy
Shirt untucked
rare vid of greg oden playing in the nba lol
