Fastest I ever went on my old 125 was about 119km/h on a Honda Varadero 2006 carb version. Going down hill.... still counts right? 🤣👍
Best thing about A1 bikes is they teach you to protect your revs and prepare for the best gear & revs needed for the road ahead.
I miss the old Cagiva Mito Evolution 1 & 2 they where beasts of the road for their engine size 💖.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of variables that come into play here, wind, incline/decline, weight of the rider, air resistance, type and quality of fuel etc

My first bike a 1974 CB125 would do an indicated 65 mph but it would stay at that on a dual carriageway all day long , I suspect it was limited and would most probably be capable of faster .
2003 Yamaha TW 125 -> 104km/h GPS (lying behind the handlebars on a flat road)...
with my honda cbf125 i got 106 kmph on gps. i bought it for 1700 eu and think its the best deal i couldve gotten. i mean its an A1 bike so i'm only gonna ride it for max 2 years. then upgrade to a SV650s ;)

i have yamaha yzf125 r (2016) and i hit 136
Manufacturer can show any speed on the speedometer that is not accurate. You need a GPS to find out the real speed which is roughly 110 kmh
That is true but all of them are faster than 110 km/h on GPS. Yamaha for example.. I once tried a YZF-R125. 140 km/h on speedo was 131 km/h on GPS. The MT-125 uses the same engine.
Need GPS speed tho, honda is usually a bit off in the speedo calibration, and also be better if 0 to 100 data is also displayed
I have updated the pinned message. Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki are most of the time about 8% off. Kawasaki in this case was pretty accurate. Nowadays I always try to also measure with GPS. 0-100 is a bit difficult if GPS is laggy unless you know exactly what 100 km/h GPS will be on the speedo.

my honda cbr 125 r 2013 model tops out at 150 max on skight down hill i got it to 153

On my 2013 Honda cbr 125r I got 144 on a small downhill on the highway and got 125 on a straight
Those euro3 engines are pretty good. It all went downhill since euro4 and euro5 over here.
I have a WK Demon 125, very bipolar when it comes to speed, some days I can get 70 others just about 60😂
Same for my Kawasaki ER6N. Some days it can do 220 km/h, some days no more than 200 km/h.
You missed the ktm duke 125, I have it and my top speed is 128 also I have it uploaded on my CZcams channel
I rode a 125 Duke once.. did not get past 106 km/h but I heard after an update it would be able to do 120 km/h. Perhaps the new ones are faster. Put your link under my comment of your top speed video so others can see it too.

Pretty good! And those speedometers from KTM are pretty close to GPS speed. At least that was on the 390 Duke, I think for the 125 it would be the same.

That was the time before Euro4 and such.
On a flat my aprilia rs50 2002 will hit 75mph and 80 down hill

Lexmoto? Chinese aircooled junk. It could never reach those speeds stock. Use GPS and try that top speed. Those speedometers are way off.

I have a sinnis apache 125 which is exact same as a lexmoto adrenaline, mine does around 82 mph, completely stock other than a toro exhaust, also you say its junk but ive had ktm 125 exc, honda crm 125, husqvarana sm 125 all with tons of problems, my sinnis apache gets beat everyday, at 83 mph everywhere for 6 years and never ever had a single problem.

That is an underbone bike. 17.4 hp from that 125cc engine? Ah I see.. 2 stroke.. still 180 km/h with just 17 hp is pretty fast. On the other hand... in the past a 50cc 2 stroke Kreidler Van Veen was able to do 200 km/h. :)
my cbr 2012 got to 135km/h
My brother had a 2004 cbr125r and got it up to 140 km/h. Took a while though...

I think this was the 2018 model. The 2021 might be faster. 4 valves and more power. I expect it to be faster but Honda Belgium does not like me anymore. No more demo bikes for this guy. :D

@@jackarock6425 Most of the times no 125cc Honda demo bikes at dealerships. Next to that I'd rather ride the bikes from the importer. If I might crash the bike it costs me way less than at a dealership. Also importers want their bikes in videos and reviews instead of those from the dealerships. I rather spend my time covering brands that do want to cooperate. There are many brands out there with great bikes so more than enough for me to write and film about. :)
Dont care about top speed....care about the acceleration like 0-100 or like 30-100 ...i dont care if my bike goes with 130 after 50 hours. I care if my bike can have a 20-100 in like 5 sec for example ( caues its 125 )
True, for 125cc it is more important how fast it is from 0-100 or 0-80. Those videos are on my channel btw.

That is really fast for a 125cc 4 stroke naked bike. Rieju has been introduced over here this year. Hope to ride a few Rieju bikes next year to feature on this channel.
