This actor was really good.. He captured Freddie's personality
Perfectly. Better than the guy in the movie.
You bet 100%
Agreed
:)
Can't stand Rammy Malek and his buggy eyes
%100
The actor playing Freddie nailed it.
Zach Haywood it was the real band
This actor was much more believable than the guy who played Freddie in the movie
@@cindyvazquez5731 ramik would do a good job if the movie wasn't so shit
Rami is slightly a problem but the movies story was bullshit because in that Freddie did HIV test before live aids but actually he did it in 1987
@@MorganLeodeMenezes they had to make it like that. that had to fit so much in one movie, i’m a huge fan of queen and was also a bit upset, but they did good with what they had
Many of these great superstars seem to come from humble beginnings and contain an inner self bursting to come out and perform, excite people beyond measure, have large followings, enourmous success, ups and downs and imitators. Many seem to die early in life too and leave us a legacy of music with many great memories and happiness.
The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long. RIP
Anacaona4 very, very true.
Where did you get that from? Ive never heard that expression before, that's why I'm asking.

He was a god.
Nope . He became the legend after he died.

Freddy Mercury WAS SO CHARMING!!!!!! SUCH A WARM & BEAUTIFUL PERSON. . .
What a beautiful soul, NOT A VOICE OUT THERE COMES CLOSE! LOVE THE BAND SN ALL THERE SONGS! IM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Anybody watching this on Freddie’s birthday? Happy 75th, Freddie!
That guy playing as Freddie looks just like him so much it's scary
TheTaylw1 his name is john blunt he sings in the Australian tribute band killer queen he is amazing looks and sounds like Freddie
I totally agree. He sound almost exactly like him. (Speaking voice)
TheTaylw1 right?!
He is much better than the guy (Rami Malek)...there just something about his looks that does not capture Freddy
ATV STUDIOS i swear
This documentary is far better than the movie Bohemian Rhapsody
Of course it is. It’s a documentary and documentaries are always accurate. Movies aren’t supposed to be 100% accurate to real life
I remember watching Freddie Mercury perform on TV while he was still alive, I was 5 but I can remember it vividly. He touched so many people with his voice and creativity. Homophobes will always attack because that's just all they can do. Freddie will never be forgotten.
I JUST LOVEE WHEN FREDDIE CALLS EVERYONE "DARLING"..
i don´t know why people are complaining!!! the actor did a great job!!!
Luis Felipe Silva Sampaio I b M by
Luis Felipe Silva Sampaio ugly work.
Luis Felipe Silva Sampaio the actor is awesome
I thought it was that dude from the Office and The Hangover for a minute.
He did a great job playing the part. I came back to watch it again.
The actor who plays Freddie has his mannerisms down pretty well. The mouth movements, the expressions, the talking manner etc.
He played him well. Brian May actors hair is a fucking mop!
The real Brian May has a hair mop lol
At least he has his own hair!
They are all totally annoying.
Hahahaha!!! Good one Jeff!
At least he had Mary and Jim taking care of him.
Rest in peace Freddie 🙏 Darling we all still love you and miss you dearly😓😓😓😓
This actor was more authentic in playing Freddie and he engrossed himself into the role fully.
Very good documentary! The actor playing Freddie nailed it!
not wrong there he's pretty good
June Kramer he should’ve been in the movie
He deserves more prominence. His name is John Blunt
When he died... my heart really broke into a million pieces💔 Im just 15 but wanna live in 1985 so bad! We still love you to legend 💔❤️
John Blunt is amazing portraying Freddie..so good and looks like him, I seem to really believe some scenes that's it is Freddie.. Excellent Actor!!
The actor who plays Freddy deserves an Oscar as well. What a great documentary!
i agree
Freddie*
i can't understand. why do people click on videos about Queen or Freddie Mercury and just comment hate? i watch this documentary weekly because i just love it. Freddie is a beautiful man and is so kind and friendly. a true rock legend. anyway, i read the comments on here and a lot of them are so rude. there's a lot of horrible comments on other videos too, such as music videos and interviews. calling him a "fag", talking about him "taking it up the ass"? god! people, if you don't agree with his lifestyle you don't have to be rude about it. he's deceased for God's sake, you could show some respect. Freddie doesn't deserve all this hate. ❤️ Mercury forever. R.I.P.
jacky I couldn't agree with you more
Yeah. He may have made some mistakes in his life, but he's still my idol. He did what he loved and sang his heart out. He poured his soul into the music he sang and i feel that every time I hear him.
GrapeJuice Gamer yeah thats why I love freddie because he did what he loved even after he was really sick
Jimmy Jacobs I totally agree
I watch the video once weekly. After my first viewing, I was shaking inside for hours. I also cant understand, jacky. Some of the comments here about the videos involving Freddie and Queen. At times, I become very bothered by other's comments. Then I become strong, when I realize that I am blessed to see Freddie. Thank you, jacky. Thank you, Freddie. Thank you others with good comments. I also have my own lifestyle, others may not like mine. But I'll respect others'. Jerry
Freddie wasn’t dead in his last performance. He showed all of us how to live! Thank you for the music 🎵 as your job was done ✅ rest in heaven sweet prince 👑!
Its a great song thats for sure and what this documentary doesn't mention is that after or around the time that video was shot he went back to the studio in Switzerland to make more music(!)
Yeah that kinda made me mad like why would she say that
That pissed me off more than anything.
He also showed us how to die!!! A painful death.
@@janetyovonnestuckey2282 fuck you.
Sometimes I wish I could just hug him...
He had so many issues. It’s sad. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to hear him sing after 1988, just knowing he was wasting away with every lyric he spouted. He wasn’t the asshole the media portrayed him as, he was extraordinary, sweet, caring...he just made some mistakes.
He wanted to live his life to the fullest. There's no mistake in that. He was already living like every day was his last.
Sometimes I wish I could hug him too. When you see what the media says it's easy to think he was a terriable person, but when you see how he really was he was sweet, kind, caring, and a person who had trouble trusting others because of how people in the past used to treat him. I've always hated people who say he did it to himself and should have known better and diserved what he got. It's compleatly untrue. Sure, he should have been a bit more careful but I'm sure he did not WANT to get AIDS. And even on his death bed he was still caring.
EXACTLY HE WANTED HIS PRIVACY AND FANS RESPECT THAT FROM HIM IT WAS THAT ...HOLE WHO SAID HE DESERVES TO DIE BRIAN AND RODGER DONE A GREAT JOB IN SHUTTING HIM UP
People would rather hate than love
Your right Freddie Mercury was a sweetheart. When I first saw this version of his life. I just cried 😭😭😭😭😭.
This touched me so deeply. He gave so much of himself through his music. Freddie by all rights. should have been relaxing and taking it easy when he was very ill, but that wasn't Freddie, he continued to work. He had money, he really didn't need to work. But Freddie was a professional and a trooper. The guy was slugging down vodkas to keep himself going.
My beautiful music angel Freddie is now at peace.
I adored him then and I still adore him. Freddie was special. There will never be another Freddie Mercury. I miss him so much.😪🌹💝💛
Freddie Mercury and Eric Carr died on the same day 24th November 1991. ROCK IN PEACE!
This is so emotionally difficult to watch. My heart is breaking for Freddie..one of the sweetest people ever. Love and miss You, sweet Angel. 😢💔
Yeeesssss......
I can't believe how talented he was!!! Unbelievable !!! And so shy and modest!!! No one will ever come close to being talented like him . I love you Freddie
This is what makes this documentary so great it shows what really happened to Freddie. No Hollywood fluff, no spin, just how it happened in real life.
But the sad thing is that people warned him and he just brushed it all aside which was a mistake
Queen and Freddie owned Live Aid. One of the greatest performers of all time.
John Blunt is like the perfect doppelganger for Freddie. His acting was impeccable.

So sad! Freddie is so missed. The actor playing Freddie did an amazing job btw.

My name is Delilah. After I found out that Freddie named one of his cats Delilah and wrote a song about her, I decided to name one of my male cats Freddie in his honor. 😁💜
Kkkk karma
Awwwww my heart 💓
aww...that is so sweet❤❤😍
good call. :)
it broke my heart to see Freddie cry.😢😢

I'm not crying... I'm just sweating through my eyes...

HOW SENTIMENTAL!

Everybody is crying darling
Better than movie
Both John Blunt and Rami Malek do an incredible job performing the role of Freddie Mercury! They embody him perfectly and have his voice down like nobody’s business! Simply wonderful! Two different portrayals in ultimately two different parts of Freddie’s life.
Totally
John Blunt > Rami Malek by a hundred miles.
Damn the guy playing Freddie! What a performance!!
He's Australian, John Blunt. He does cover band Killer Queen
Poor Freddie...
I kinda feel sorry for Mary.
Same here...he would had still been alive and healthy had he been the man for her
I love the backstage celebration in the dressing room after live aid. It’s like a team that just won a championship
That's how it feels after a good show... I love seeing that took me back
“I will work till I drop” sadly he did😩😩😭😭
Gussie mehler 😭😭 rip Freddie miss him even tho I was born in 2002
@breme honestly he just kept going until it was time 😭👏🏾❤️
Freddie Mercury is so captivating. From his voice to his stage presence, his fashion... Who cares about a few who don't like or understand his talent, there are millions who love his music and persona. Queen is part of millions of personal playlists in the world and it'll continue to be for many years.
The actor who played Freddie is very good. Around the 41 mark when speaking with his doctor, a brilliant expression slides across his face...just brilliant.
Elizanne I completely agree... it’s like through his expressions he was able to covey the rawest of emotions which makes it believable and that is good acting... I thought he did a fantastic job..
Elizanne which part exactly he met with his dr. Twice once for the blood test result & the biopsy results. Which part was his brilliant expression?
What’s dr Adkins real name?
Alisha Taylor Gordon Atkinson
Great documentary about Freddie and his true self. A beautiful man who struggled so much for many years personally, while becoming a rock God professionally. Thank you for this insight into the life of a fantastic man who I have followed for decades and have loved for his awesome music with Queen. I was so happy when he found Jim, the partner who loved him as no other and brought him happiness for the rest of his life. Freddie will forever be in my heart............
He lived a short life but he will live forever 💙🧡❤🥰🥰🥰
Loved Freddie, there will never be another like him
True
Cried all through the documentary... Such a legend! There will never be anyone like him..!
While everyone is talking about John Blunt's physical accuracy as Freddie, can anyone take a moment to admire how spot on Mary's actress was too... Those eyes😍
Freddie Mercury must have been a lot of fun to hang out with.
Poor baby imagine how scared he was yet never showed it. Absolutely heartbreaking 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I know :-( So brave :-(
Heidi C. Franks - what did Mary do? She respected his wishes and loved him and still loves him to this day. Those two had the kind of bond that’s hard for people to understand but it worked for them til the very end hence why she’s the only one he trusted to bury his ashes, that act alone speaks volumes.
Make me wish the gay community took care of themselves then they still be here 💔
😘
I met Freddie in 1980 during a concert in Milwaukee WI. (Backstage party). He looked sick even then. He still gave one hell of show. So sad to see him go the way he did.
BLU3Collar TRANCE what was he like to meet?
Yeah he was often sick in the 80s. Early symptoms of Hiv.
I am so surprised how much he sounds like Freddie
R.I.P 😰❤️🎵
Yes.... really ..
Freddie and what he achieved is one of the reasons I’m proud to be British
BRITISH REPORTERS SUCK BALLS TOO ! FREAKS !🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡😡
Are people in the comments really whining that he doesn't look 100% like Freddie? Hello, Freddie was unique and one of a kind nobody looked, talked, walked, or sang like him, of course the actor will look a little different, it's still an amazing imitation none the less.
He actually could be his brother. He looks that much like him. I don't know what you're talking about with people whining because 90% of the comments say he looks just like him.
i don't care who the man slept with, he was a music ledgend, and noone around in the music industry today will never be as great as he was.
YES YES YES
Don't care if he was gay, just love how he made great music and entertain his audience!!
This is much more better than the wining oscar movie....
That Actor and Actrees Realy like Freddie Mercury face and Marie Austin face
For such a short life Freddie lived, he accomplished so much! More than a lot of people do in a 85-90 year lifetime!
Freddie Had the most beautiful voice in Rock history. I also have so much respect for this man...for remaining strong through his darkest times. It feels so good to learn about iconic artists before my time. Because back then Music was REAL music. If only Freddie was alive to see how many future generations of all nationalities fell in love with his work. Freddie Mercury is definitely one of those artists who makes timeless music, and in my opinion...he is hands down ...The King Of Rock***
He really sounds like, Freddie.
The best Freddie actor I’ve ever seen
Freddie mercury the Best FOREVER always for always the King and Queen of rock
Yeah that live AID performance was probably the greatest ever give by any rock band, any rock singer at least, it was incredible. He had all those people in the palm of his hand
This actor should've been Freddie Mercury in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
The actor did an amazing job! I almost thought it was really Freddy Mercury.

Now that was a Master impression of Freddie Mercury! The speaking voice, facial expressions, mannerisms! This guy has it all down cold! And I’m not comparing apples to oranges here! I know the difference between the 2 films and I think they’re both great! So I’ll just leave it at that!
LONG LIVE FREDDIE MERCURY. This is the guy that should play Freddie in the movie.
That actor truly became Freddy Amazing Performance
Aw. Freddie’s throat, and he cared so much of the people, to sing for them. Such a kind, considerate LEGEND. Her Majesty will live on, forever.and the haters, there will always be, but as the education rates improve, I am sure more people will think much for themselves, and they will soon decrease.
Long live the QUEEN’s of MUSIC!! ❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼
This documentary touched me on so many levels.
My beautiful music angel suffered so much.

I love the way they mix in real footage of Freddie with the documentary ... Great job to all involved making this... And MAN that actor looks like his twin, for god sake...
Queen has never been my all-time favourite rock band, but I still remember the day Freddy passed away. My first thought was : "Rock is dead... what will happen to us? Who will now take the crown?". I still fell a lot of sadness when I think about it...
geez, I didn't think much about that, there was plenty of rock activity in the 90s, but by around 1999, you could tell the music scene was going to the poppers/pop rockers, and it was all downhill from there
Excellent actor
Still watching it on 2022 for how many times i've lost count. Freddie still rocks till these days...still the champion.

I remember finding out that Freddie died. Growing up, Queen and The Beatles were my favorite bands. I was only 8 when he passed, but I can remember it like it was yesterday. That was the first time I cried over the death of a celebrity...
The best Freddy Mercury documentary I've ever seen. And there's several good ones out there. On a more serious note, there's been people and publications over the years who have attacked Freddy's lifestyle and it was that his wreckless and irresponsible sex life that led to his illness. This documentary does delve into that aspect meaning that because AIDS awareness really didn't exist and even after it was idenified it took time to find out how it worked, how it was transmitted, and develop effective treatments, I truly believe that by the time all this information was made public it was too late for Freddy. In fact most people become infected and didn't even realize it because HIV and AIDS are very slow in terms incubation (around 10 years) so yeah that's not the fault of really anyone, medical science literally had to use the first develped treatments to buy people time till better ones could be developed. And there was no guarantee of that either it took decades before treatments could actually make AIDS survivable with the high majority of patients.
Also I have to say the guy who plays Freddy in this is amazing, he looks like him and sounds like him almost identical. Why didn't they cast this guy for Bohemian Rhapsody? He looks and sounds so much more like Freddy then Rami Malek does.
Freddie *
For sure ...this actor is look like Freddie....
This is a very sympathetic and beautifully done . The actor played Freddy so brilliantly. His “family “ bless them were loyal to the end.
Man what a absolute legend. Love him! Love his music Love queen! ❤❤❤
For Mary to have stuck with Freddie for all those years, even after they ended their relationship, it was very obvious that she really did love him, even if they were no longer involved in a romantic relationship.
Given Mary's character, her loyalty to him, Freddie Mercury was a lucky man to have had her in his life. Caring and loyal people like that don't come around to often.
So with that being said, if you - the person reading this comment - if you're lucky enough to have someone like that in you're life - whether they be a significant other, or just a friend - treat them well.
The Cowboy jim loved Freddie too
carol keating - However, he didn't stand by his side for as long as Mary had done.
But you know one thing that really stood out to me in this documentary, is how gracious Freddie Mercury was even though he was in I would imagine a lot of pain due to his illness.
He didn't let his illness turn him bitter, and he refused to let his illness stop him from doing what he loved to do, which was make music.
The Cowboy
Amen and well spoken💯
The Cowboy Jim stayed by Freddie's side until the day Freddie died how can you say he didn't
The Cowboy maybe she stayed by him because he brought her a 30 thousand pounds apartment set her up with a cosy desk job and gave her lots of money every Christmas
Seen the killer queen experience twice within a month. After baring witness to numerous tribute bands to queen with lots of disappointment, these guys gave me a renewed sense of faith. By far the absolute best tribute band to queen ever. Keep living the dream guys. Took me back to my teenage years 💕💕💕💕💕
when a documentary wins it over a hollywood movie,
when it comes to the real story and even nailing the characters.

Freddie Mercury : 1946 - forever and ever till the ends of time
This made me cry. Both are really good, this documentary and the 2018 movie. Long live the legend.
I absolutely love this doco. I can't stop watching it. It's like a drug. The more I watch it the more I fall in love with it it. John Blunt did an absolutely outstanding job. During some scenes I thought I was watching the Real freddie. He looks, speaks, acts just like Him. He even got the mannerism down. I just can't believe my eyes he gotta be freddie lost son. He looks eerily like him his eyes, nose, ear lobes. The last few minutes really made me cry. I felt like I was actually there with Freddie. So upset that Brian didn't like it even wanted to take it down. In my opinion people need to know freddie as a normal man we all know he was a great performer. But what most of us wants to know is: what was he like off stage? How many friends did he have? What exactly happened during his last years?
Brian said this movie it's a scam full of wrong details, The people that have been interviewed didn't know freddie. Which it's totally false cause both David wigg and Paul Gambaccini actually knew freddie. David interviewed freddie multiple times throughout his whole career.
There are some wrong details but who cares? Let's just enjoy John outstanding portrayal.
Mirko Amicizia that's a very hypocritical thing for Brian to say, given that "his" movie version is full of lies and misrepresentations
The man playing Freddie did an outstanding job.
A true legend ......he was a funny, clever, loyal and very warm and loving man
..there will never be another Freddie. I will never forget him.
