    hi, i am doing 100 crossovers (from free throw line, run, then cross at half court line) per day since 2 days ago. my change of direction is pretty slow so how do i make it faster? others do it effortlessly but fast, but for me im having a hard time doing it very fast. is it because im so focused on the "fake"? is it because my legs are weak? is it because im having improper techniques? or is it because im impatient (i only started less than a week lol) thanks. it will be a big help for me

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 6 lety

      Go through the speed, explosiveness, and footwork videos (like jumping rope) and work on those.
      czcams.com/video/KcjHaEJIcaE/video.html&index=4
      You're also being very impatient. The moves you see guys making on TV take a long time to get there.

      @kennndrick2509 Před 6 lety

      haha thanks man.. i just played a pick up game and for the first time in my life, i left a defender in the dust. i had to take a risk if im gonna fail or not but in the end, i did it. thanks, i'll continue doing these
      i also realized that the most important aspect in the crossover move is the fake. i wasn't very fast but when he leaned on my right side it was over for him. i just did a wide fake and my whole body facing the direction

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 6 lety

      The best moves are about how you counter the defender when he is either cheating, leaning or is off balance.

    plus, how do good players cross the ball so fast without losing the ball? i mean, im pretty strong and i can pound the ball very hard, but the spin is unbearable it slips away from my fingers. is this normal? i just want to know if others also experience this predicament thanks

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 7 lety +1

      It's time for you to start doing this: czcams.com/video/AqIJjYfG6vA/video.html
      Further developing your finger and hand strength should help you control the ball better, especially in traffic.

      Keep practicing the right way EVERY time you shoot. No mess around shots when you're training. Make them as game-like as possible.

    shouldnt u dribble the ball low not like the one in 2:19 ? the ball is already above his hips which is too high when executing dribbling moves.

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 7 lety

      You can dribble low, but it's not a deal breaker. Think of the big guards like Magic who is 6'9" he didn't get ripped because of a high dribble, it's about spacing, body angles, etc...
      The more you learn about this game the more intricate it becomes.

    Are you supposed to dribble that high ? Or is coach just pounding it extra hard in training ?

    • @DeepGameBasketball
      @DeepGameBasketball  Před 6 lety

      You don't have to dribble that high, go lower or to the level that best suits you to perform the move and beat the defense.
