Loved watching it. She had a moment in the first heat then turned it around and smashed it til the end. Everyone can learn from this for so many situations. The other top 4 ladies are amazing surfers too.

WSL you are gonna suck the wind out of our barrel riding specialists with this format if they know that no matter how well they do prior to trestles they can lose it all to guys like italo and Felipe

Really hard to believe that there are still many haters about steph winning this year. Or I guess I should say H8ers! Lol. Suck it up guys, she did it and she's done it in all different ways the wsl or asp ever had it set up. She's the goat for sure!
Who's hating? Steph is the only surfer I care about watching in the women's heats.
@@TheBluesmon Seen tons of people criticizing steph after she won this year on the live stream and the next day highlights. Crazy to me that people don't think she deserves it this past year and are blaming it on the new format. Lots of hate for toledo as well after Tahiti but I guess there's always going to be someone upset about something
I don’t think the hate is towards steph, the hate is towards the new way they crown the champs. The WSL can’t try and ram it down our throats that the world champ is someone who was over 10,000 points behind first place and then had one amazing performance in 2-4 waves. Carissa performed way better through the year in a variety of waves including pipe and teahupoo , that’s who the crown should have gone too. The WSL knows this too and that’s why they’re trying to advertise that steph is the “undisputed” champ. But we the true surf fans are not dumb and know Carissa was the world champ because she performed the best throughout the world in 2022. And this is coming from a huge Stephanie fan.

If you win the 11th and final event on the tour, you become an event winner, just like Bells Beach, Pipe etc. It SHOULD NOT make you a world champion !!!
This whole Final 5 event is a complete joke. Carissa didn't get the title or the trophy, but we all KNOW that she is the 2022 champion
