People like to bring up the fact that Messi had 23 free kick goals from 2017-19, while CR7 had 5. From 2009-11 though, CR7 had 21 free kick goals, while Messi had 3. Idk why some people (mainly Messi “fans”) always forget how DOMINANT CR7 was at free kicks
And the reason why Ronaldo’s freekick is best, is he scared in important games. Other guy scores freekick little bit more but fails in important games like fwc 2014 final. Which freekicks are great?
On the top of that messi FKs are pretty common , His consitency is very good but he can never score freekicks from distance like CR7 does .

@Jonne Sainio The BEST player suited to a certain set-piece, in this case free kicks, ALWAYS takes them. There maybe exceptions regarding what area the free kick is taken from (a right footed player is better suited to take a free kick in the left side of the pitch, vice versa). In reality, your response is irrelevant.
