- With the other game changers I visited the EA offices in Vancouver to meet with the UFC 5 development team and talk to them about how the game is made but also, what changes we want to see to make the game even better.

really good vid, anything about parries and different shot animations on takedowns? Not familiar with wrestling terms but they had it in the older ufcs and islam did it against volk, dropping to a knee before shooting instead of leading with your head first
Can they bring character creation back to what it was where you upgrade all the stats to the max

I wish they’d just make the new games like the way EA made ufc 2 , it had great knockouts and great movement. UFC 3-5 feels so stiff in the movement and the kos are decent.

Yeah I wish they would make a lot more unique knockdown/knockout animations like in fight night champion had some incredible knockdown animations even though it was a boxing game

Dude hit the nail right on point! I play UFC 2 currently after playing every UFC game in creation. UFC 2 without a doubt was the best! If they came out with a tweaked update in 2024 I'd play it everyday.

Tell them to make it more balanced / sim. UFC3 was on its way to e-sport level until this new dev team took a big dump on the series.

I can tell you why the series has regressed since UFC 3.......Geoff Harrower left the team. Even though I've never been a fan of the EA UFC games, Geoff actually listened to the community and interacted with us. He actually valued our feedback and made a concerted effort to improve the games. Remember how EA UFC 1-3 used to actually have hige improvements in the patches? They literally would implement new gameplay mechanics into the games months after they came out. He's one of the few devs on the team that seemed to give a shit about what people thought about the games. Ever since he left the games have gotten worse

As a fan of realism, id like one of the game changers to suggest ko animations like postured poses depending on the ko type. This was in ufc 1 but it's been removed since ufc 2.

Enjoyed the peek behind the curtain. New fighters dropped today. Have noticed that EA added fighters have styles like Sambo. Did you get a sense at all that more fight styles (Savate, Sambo, Karate, etc) were something for gamers to look forward to in the creation content arena in the future? Or is the EA team likely going to be just looking at gameplay mechanics, tweaks and roster updates from now until UFC 6? Cheers sir!

They have to fix the career,add weight ins ( weighting system also ) , press conferences ,and more freedom to choose weight classes

one thing thats really bothered me lately is when the blood gets on a fighters chest. it looks like there's a giant gash across their chest. plus the cuts in general are way too extreme and common. its cool, but literally every fight there's a massive gash where it looks like a sword slashed them wide open.
Yea they need to make cut resistance and stuff matter more. I'd get someone like nate getting busted open every fight wct but others shouldn't be. Especially if I'm using like chito vera

Blood definitely needs changing. It’s not realistic, it don’t leak or smudge as in real life. The ground game needs changing as well as allot of things. In other words just make it as undisputed 3
Dude I've literally been saying this since the first EA UFC game. That's all we want.....an updated version of Undisputed 3. If nothing else just implement the ground game from Undisputed 3.

Dude we really, really, really need them to add follow up shots back in. I hate the way the fights play out as the game is now. Tired of seeing fighters land a knockout blow and just walk off. That almost never happens in MMA! The ref usually has to jump in and tackle the victorious fighter off the defeated fighter. The refs don't really even play a role in this game!! And by refs I mean Herb Dean since they were too lazy to include any other refs.
shoulda recommended to change the short nameplate colours to the actual national colours examples if dustin wears black shorts his name will be spelt in red letters in the ufc 5 game there white n not properly matching ik it’s very minor but it would do wonders.
All we need is UFC Undisputed 3 to be compatible with next gen.

Please ask them to implement UFC UNDISPUTED 3 GRAPPLING, and make fighters more unique by giving them their unique animations. Because why a game from 2011 was able to do it, but a game with much bigger budget from 2023 can’t do it…

UFC 5 problems i think are important
Career mode:
Career mode needs a major overhaul as it is literally no different from UFC 4, One thing that particularly concerns me is the fact that UFC licensed fighters will fight till the ages of 47 or 48 whilst you play your career, in actuality they would retire much sooner, Career mode is also very bland with the social media aspect being the exact same as UFC 4 they could definitely expand on it, instead of it being based around your fighter replying to others, Career mode also become very repetitive and basic once you achieve GOAT status, with cutscenes essentially being gone from the time of getting Champ Champ to the end, another thing id like to see is more control over your fighters career in terms of how long it lasts and what weight class you are in (E.G Let us move up and down at any point in the career)
UFC 5 in General:
fighter introductions and the general feel of the beginning of a fight is bland with only the fighters names being announced by bruce buffer and with the same reused voice lines the commentary feels absolutely shallow
Another thing i find problematic is the missing fighters (ik they js announced 30 new fighters) most ranked fighters are absent from the game quite disappointingly, without these fighters those who wish to replicate certain UFC events cannot due to the lack of the necessary fighters
The Physics system is another complaint i have, it lacks any sort of realism with KO’s being constant ragdoll animations and no Stiffening KO’s like real life, along with the lack of landing strikes after a KO which could be done in previous installations of the EA UFC Franchise, I will admit the movement and striking feels like a good improvement from UFC 4 however it still feels stiff and lacks fluidity
I am genuinely passionate about this game and id love to see it thrive and i hope our Game Changers actually listen and take the players into consideration when actually changing the game

They can add every fighter on the roster and tweak some stats, but if they all fight the same, I can’t help but not be interested.
A point I tried to put across with as much importance as possible!

Completely re do every aspect of striking maybe. How are fade uppercuts a thing? You rarely ever see that. A fade 2/step back 2 is what should do damage. A planted 2-3 should rock a guy coming in throwing 4 wild hooks half gassed. Front kicks in the pocket should be non existent. There’s so many things that need to be changed striking wise for the people that actually train to enjoy the game.
We defintely had conversations about what we wanted to change, I would like to see all of those things changed and a lot of those things were highlighted for sure

No disrespect but I hope those captures are not going into the game , we rarely get new ones even tho we’ve been asking for new ones for years they better be bringing in legit fighters so that the movement are as crisp and clean as possible instead of gamers , your feedback should be taken into consideration when it comes to gameplay it self

1:59 i guess you were talking to paid actors. they reskinned ufc 4 and sold it for 90 dollars. they made mega millions of profit off a thousand man hours of re-coding..
Somehow I really don’t think they made a lot from it, I do agree with you tho for as long as they took to give us ufc 5 just to find out they added only 2 gamemodes, and reskinned everything. not even original neither, still boycotting til this game is improved improved like it should’ve been on release
