Thank you for letting us know their lifestyles and daily routine. It is really interesting to know from that 48 years old gentleman that USSR time was better with collective farms and jobs. Alas a hard lesson after the collapse.

@@christyliebel9500it's like creamy a bit dry paste but same time juicy. I'm local, sometimes I'm scared to try it but after I try it's so delicious. Try one day you will love it.
I have tried Iranian style sheep and goats' head, and it's crazily delicious, so if there is Iranian society around the place you live, then go and try and sure you will love it

Overall the people of central Asia are very nice people and the hospitality among the Muslims is not comparable. American CZcamsr Drew Binsky(Jewish) who traveled to all the countries in the world(197), sometimes repeatedly visited some countries. He said that people in Muslim countries are the most hospitable people. I met all the soviet people while I lived in St. Petersburg for a decade and one year in Zaparozhye(1974 arrived via Moscow from Bangladesh. Everywhere we were welcomed much better than other countries' students because our country just fought and got back independence with the help of the USSR and India. Not only in Central Asia but people from the Indian subcontinent were admired by the soviet people due to our culture, Movies, songs, etc. Unfortunately during the soviet times, communist authorities did not allow us to go somewhere without a visa(internal visa). If want to go to Moscow for a passport renewal or something to do, we have to get a visa from the Police(kgb) via the Dean's office. I visited several times during the winter as an Azerbaijani. The conductor (wagon attendance) asked me Drug or Jemliak otkuda. I said Baku. He believed it. otherwise called the police to arrest me.
Shurpa is one of favorite dishes man you gotta try it😋

good interview with the locals. was somewhat surprised to know big size family is still typical in present day. the land has limit for sustainable population.

I find it very interesting that many of these countries miss being part of the old USSR. As a child, I loved studying Geography. However, back in those days, the USSR was just considered "Russia"... at least that's the way I used to view it. Of course, as I got older, I realized that there were many other countries (12 in total, I think, including Russia) that were part of the Soviet Union, but it was still a bit mysterious to me. Since the breakup, access to information about these places is much more readily available. I really enjoy these types of videos. Keep up the great work Slava.
Thanks a lot Jeffrey. I bet if their economies were stronger they wouldn’t be so nostalgic about the old times.
Those who drink and those who do not can't merge into one country, so they are separated. Russia drinks less now, so they can merge together again. Several countries in Central Asia are relatively poor, so they prefer the Soviet Union, so that they can share the wealth of the countries. Resources, on the contrary, when resources are abundant, they actively demand division. It is always difficult for the poor and the rich to get along. Now that their economies are closer, they can unite to form a country.

very interesting about post USSR mindset, thanks Slava!
Thank you. Yeah people are nostalgic about the Soviet days but that’s only because they feel it was better back then. They had more security. However, many post-Soviet countries don’t feel that way.

Do they celebrate the syzygy in Kyrgyzstan? In Poland, we call it the szwyszczygrzy.
What kind of festival is that?

People cannot handle freedom. Nice video, thanks
Yep, because the smarter ones take over. Here in the capitalism western world they are called the 1%, the rich, the corporate owners; their oppression is even more vicious than the government's. These people are just attesting of what it is like, cause they have experienced both worlds, and it's interesting to listen to what they have to say.
Good job

Once upon a time in the Soviet era Russia used to controll all these territories and Kyrgyzstan used to be just one the Soviet territories in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)
Russia didn't control

Kruschev was Ukrainian as was brezhnev andropov was Jewish

mad looking for chefs in England and Ireland big money, get your own way, contacts Rob you
The US southern accent kills me every time
Do most people speak Russian there? If so, do they have a specific accent that is different than yours? For example when I visit England I often don’t understand what someone has said due to distinctive accents.
In the south they mostly speak Kyrgyz language. They speak Russian with an accent. In the north they speak both Russian and Kyrgyz
Many speak Russian. Very few speak English. Do you speak Russian?
I once met a Kyrgyz student who spoke Chinese, Russia, English, and Kyrgyz. She attended university in China, did her post-graduate studies in Russia, and was learning Japanese at the time. She had an incredibly easy time acquiring Japanese because she already knew most of the KANJI from her time in China, and Turkic/Kyrgyz grammar is similar to Japanese, Mongolian, and Korean. I've known that Central Asian people are fluent in multiple-languages, but I was beyond impressed. She was a daughter of a Kyrgyz diplomat and she said it's a necessary skill for her country to survive amidst powerful neighbors.
What is the name of this village? I have been in the Osh area myself.
