Hellooooooo it's been a while sorry.I got a part time job and had summer class.Anyway I ended up making this is one day (oops) and now i'm uploading it at 3 am (oops) .I got super into this song the other day and couldn't get it out of my head so that's why this happened .I've used Fukase's english voicebank before but could never find a song that fit his Japanese bank until now! He kind of struggles with the really low parts but other than that I think he sounds pretty dang nice here if I say so myself. Also Una sounded nice too so I plopped her in there.

If you look at the bottom right corner near the end where it counts the Master's questions and the Android girl's replies, it shows that she had one less reply than him and it hit me hard SOBS. She never got to reply to him before he passed away...
The "ask" and "reply" counters were the same at the start of the song, but the first question ("what do you think of the kind of useless person who can't forgive themself if they brush someone off?") makes the "ask" counter tick up by one and the "reply" counter doesn't move... After that they keep going up together, but that one reply is still held back. Either she didn't know yet what she thought, or she held it back purposely, but either way THAT's the answer she couldn't give him before he died.

That weird moment when a vocaloid sounds more human and emotional than real people who covered this song. This is the only version with an apparent emotional payoff after I listen for some time.

I KNOW! That’s why I love their covers- they have so much emotion and it just sounds so… raw. They seriously have a talent for it.
So what I'm getting at is the story right now:
A boy in the post apocalyptic future builds an AI (Andriod) and wants to learn more about himself (why he's being selfish and mean to others and is trying to change for the better) and the AI he built before him. He names her NEAR and lives his life slowly trying to rid himself of the burdens he placed on himself for what he did in the past and present and tries to repent in a way? Don't quote me on that.
She slowly gains some knowledge of the human before her as she slowly gets more and more intelligent as she ages (note the numbers at the lower right corner of the screen) She slowly sees her creator as a father figure and spends a lot of time with him and soon develops human emotions that an AI shouldn't have.
The needles filled with medication, which is I'm assuming he uses to prolong his human life is slowly killing him in the process as he tries his best to teach Near the ways of being a normal person and to not leave Near alone as she slowly grows up mentally from a child to an adult(?) but physically still in a child like form.
Soon, it's all too much (him being the lone human being on this planet and the medication finally pushing him to his limits) and he peacefully dies with NEAR by his side.
She finally realizes that she understands him now as a person and cares for him deeply, crying as she says "I love you" while he passes away from old age and knows that NEAR is going to be okay.

At the end, she leaves the place she calls home to search for more people left on this desolate planet.

edit: So I learned just now that the plans on the desk is a moon migration plan and the spaceship like structure on the outside background is the ship they will use to migrate there but before it could even leave shit happened. My guess is that there was contagious virus spreading around the world and the reason the doctor was left behind is because he also got infected.

Fukase sounds most realistic in his mid range, not too high, not too low.
I just realized how emotionally amazing this song is. The guy probably either made her or found her, he's curious about her AI and wants to know how it thinks and such. As she getting asked all these things, the guy gets older but NEAR is developing and is gaining a personality and her own opinions. Then when he falls ill, NEAR comforts him as he slowly passes in her arms, truly feeling sadness people experience because of the questions and stories the guy says. She either is slowly shut down or she goes off making a difference like she did with him. Truly a wonderful song and Fukase alongside Una did amazing carrying out the emotion with your phenomenal tuning. Thank you for this song Kyaami/Cillia.

I think he was ill all the time, since sometimes in the song appears syringes and as the song goes on, more syringes appears in the same place indicating that he was fighting to survive
Also you can actually see at 2:07 a picture of the younger version of the man and a woman (which im assuming is his mother) who looks like NEAR. Which means his mother is probably dead and NEAR was supposed to look like his mother to fill his loneliness. I think it makes everything even sadder :/

Fukase's voice was tuned so well, his voice somehow creates this warm feeling when he says "Hey Near" :D

To me, Fukase sounds so at home with this song like it was made for him. He also gives more impact than miku but hey, must be because Kyaami tuned it XD
I love the original but my main issue with it is that it's so high! Like, miku's squeaking up there (but she sounds nice)
Ok let me start by saying two things:
1) That was a fast asf reply and
2) OMG KYAAMI REPLIED HAI SENPAI XD
And yeah, it kinda irked me when miku was singing a bit *too* high but nevertheless, this trounces the original in the way of quality for me but that doesn't make me hate miku's version since it does have its own unique charm.
Jemiel Lumongsod yknow the composer of this song, sang it himself too... so that's maybe Miku's voice didn't fit that well because it's meant to be sung by him?? His name is Natsushiro Takaaki(夏代孝明), you can find his version on CZcams

The covers make it sound like a stylized edgy song rather than an emotional one. Natsushiro adds unnecessary puffs of breath every time he says "nia-" instead of prolonging the "niaaa" and it just comes off as too unnecessary and ruins the mood of the song lol. 96Neko's cover on the other hand sounds like a guy about to laugh rather than in Kyaami's amazing tuning, where Fukase sounds like he's contemplating and confused rather than giddy lol

These voices and tuning carry the heavy emotion in this song so perfectly. This cover has singlehandedly made me feel more feelings than anything else in recent memory.
As a young adult with ASD, struggling on a daily basis to understand both my own emotions and the emotions of others, I tend to relate a lot to robot characters who go through similar struggles. Some people see such a trend as an insult to those on the spectrum, but I personally think it's really great to have a type of character I can truly feel for and latch on to. Nothing brings out that outlook of mine quite the same way as this song, and your cover enhances it to hit all the right spots for me.

私はセカオワ然り深瀬さん大好きなんですけど、言葉の歌い方とか息の吸い方とかその他にもたくさん似てるというか、本人というか、とてもすごいです。ボカロの調教だけでも大変なことなのにまるで深瀬さんが歌っているような加工 表現がすごいと思いました。まだまだ書き足りないんですけど、まとめるととてもすごいです。大好きです。それと、たまにハモリやメロディー以外の所を歌っているウナちゃんの声が耳に障らない音の流れで綺麗だと思いました。

I was listening to this last night and it dawned on me: "This is software and I can't even tell". I've been listening since the Vocaloid 2 days and I always knew this day would come, but it feels so surreal now that it's here.
