  • Can't see your tractor pallet forks, log splitter, grapple, etc.? Then you must watch this video to see the solution I came up with! One of the drawback to having a large tractor is the limited visibility over the hood of the tractor but I think I have a solution! At the end of the video we'll take a sneak peak at our all new Luba 2 5000H AWD robot lawn mower as we test it out in wet tall grass!

    The camera is a great idea. I have the same issue. What I do currently is roll my forks up to see where the are lined up for then put them on the ground rolled back a bit to make them clear the bottom cross member. Then by feel get them in. Following for further thoughts about the camera

    We have been looking at them but I’d never seen the wireless ones . I’ve had to fix so many of our wood pallets because I just can’t see the tip of the forks . Like you I always stood up when using the forks but with a cab tractor now there’s no room to do that so a camera is the only option .I also use that strike hold on my big ratchet straps and a few other things . Thanks for sending us a bottle I’m gona have to order another cause it’s almost gone . Definitely good stuff .

      It would be even better and more beneficial for the cab tractors as the viewer could mount anywhere on the window and always be out of the elements! I absolutely love that Strikehold!

    I've got the Agicam brand on my 3 series JD. Front and rear facing, they are shockproof and waterproof camera and monitor made for tractor and industrial applications. not cheap but a real asset to my loader and bushhog work. I think you won't regret getting a camera.

    That's a great idea. I'm actually going to make my own pallet forks attachment for my tractor this year and I was going to use a large mirror from a truck door, or something like that and mount it on either the loader arms or the pallet fork frame, so that it's angled for me to see the pallet forks on the ground. Up in the air, or picking a pallet from on a stack, it's no problem. Just like you, it's when it's near the ground and you can't see the damned thing, I got to stand up. So I will think about using a camera setup or using a mirror now.

    Hello Heath, I have been thinking of getting a wireless backup camera for the Bobcat. A little hint on the forks, raise the loader and point the forks down, they adjust better👍🏼🇺🇸

    @DavesRetirementProjects Před 2 měsíci +4

    The camera is a great idea. Try painting the fork tips in a bright color. That might help compensate for the lack of depth perception with the camera. It will wear off quickly but a rattle can of paint is pretty cheep.

    Picked up a Swift Cam from Amazon to use on the back of trailers, Bobcat, and my dump truck. Didn't dawn on me to use it on my Case 580CK with the bucket forks on! 😂
    The Swift is magnetic as well and has the guide lines that help with depth perception. Uses your phone for a screen with a long range wifi.
    It's helped save a lot of expensive things around my homestead build!

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Před 2 měsíci +1

    Heath you need to CAT LOADER 930 , 950 , 998 with fork , if you can’t pick things up 🆙 you got power to push it to one ☝️ side 😊. Guess I’m from old school with video camera 📹 show me how it done ✔️. Heath every pc of equipments come with hrs of practice in the driver seat 💺. Go to a parking lots watch peoples back up in there lot , sorry I grew up use mirrors 🪞, forks , buckets ect . Peoples can’t walk now with a apple phone 📱 in there hand ✋ at crosswalk now . Iiiii iiiii SICK 🤕

    • @hardworkingmanoutdoors
      @hardworkingmanoutdoors  Před 2 měsíci

      Absolutely leonard, it’s amazing watching people trying to back up just a vehicle let alone a trailer at a boat ramp. I grew up backing trailers, including tow dollies with a car on them so it’s like a triple pivot. It takes some practice, but now backing up a typical trailer is really easy for me. I don’t have as much time on the equipment though as I’d like.
