I think Trump was put into this position to act as a wake up call for Americans to get off the couch and vote. Some of us needed that. Other people would have been put in jail & at least had to bail themselves out. Some people are running scared such as the juries on these cases. They've had to be anonymous. Trump has held the United States hostage long enough!

He's taken his bad news and turned them around for his benefit. She said all of that. He's had a very rough year, and it's not even over yet. Also, people have free will to make choices, so energy changes with that.
A Congressional oversight committee published a report entitled "White House for Sale" that summarizes all of the money that went directly into 45's pockets in violation of the emoluments code of ethics for federal employees. Specifically the President is not allowed to accept gifts or financial benefits gained during his tenure. The committee has identified almost 8 million dollars of financial gains made by 45's businesses during his Presidency. Many of those financial gains were payments made by foreign entities. The report was issued around 4 Jan 24. Worth a peek- this could be one of the aspects of his relationships with foreign governments etc. that you might have seen.
I predicted around 2019 that he was violating the emoluments laws and would be found out eventually.
I noticed from the year he became president he was housing foreign dignitaries in his hotels and overcharging Secret Service so many different avenues of grift violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, probably his golf courses too. Since he spent pretty much a year or more of his presidency golfing which the American people are on the tab for. I don't think anyone wants to tackle that yet, there's just too many legal matters already. It's also well-known that he moneylaundered the Russian mob, another issue that will have to wait for another day. Or never.
Yes, that’s right. And that’s not even counting all the new money he takes in. He’s already wiped out his MAGA base. Is anyone investigating who’s sending in all the campaign money and also the supposed sales of ridiculous NFT superhero trading cards? Looks like yet another front for international money laundering.

I think about the Founding Fathers who apparently did not put enough safeguards or perhaps did not put the appropriate safeguards to protect our democracy from an internal enemy. They were fighting an outside enemy the Mad King George (we have our own Mad King lol). I don't think that within their very closeknit corps of "enlightened thinkers" they would envision so stark an enemy that could bring the whole Enterprise of democracy and the Constitution to possible ruin. When I think about the unique formation of the separation of Church and State, a jewel among nations-states in those days and even in these days of Islamic or Hindu, Catholic states, nation's with state-sponsored religion, I bear in mind these were flawed men too, most of them slaveholders whose great vision did not include anyone outside of white men, but whose project of democracy was incredible on its face in those days. The adjustments to the Constitution that brought voting rights to black folks and women were made possible by a living, organic Constitution, a Constitution that is anathema to the "originalist" current conservative majority of the Supreme Court. Of course we had the entire seditious Confederacy and judging from some laws like the Fourteenth Amendment and the Ku Klux Klan law it seems our nation has made efforts in the past, a kind of patchwork effort to add the protections we need against "a parasite in our bowels". Hopefully, after all this, we will be able to erect a more failsafe legal edifice and change laws to not only protect defendants in courts of law (Trump has been able to use these freely to manipulate and stall his legal cases) but also safeguard us against the Dark Money of oligarchs, the fascism of Christian and white nationalism. We need to change the Supreme Court, obliterate the Federalist Society hegemony, and reverse the badly named Citizens United so corporations no longer have rulership over our electoral system and Supreme Court. Hopefully we can get to that point in our country where a treasonous, corrupt scoundrel can not be permitted to even run for president. Medical and mental tests, tests for integrity are desirable. It starts with our votes, however cynical we might be about our electoral system. As we've seen, it's held up pretty well with almost no widespread fraud. Can we get better candidates? No doubt. But if we don't vote we deserve what we get. When a young Millennial told me he wasn't going to vote, that both sides were the same, I nearly tore my hair out. My Millennial son is apathetic as well (not so my Gen X son). We need a massive re-education project. Americans are largely uneducated about history, government, and how a Democratic country can quickly turn into an authoritarian regime, like when the Germans sleepwalked into the disastrous nightmare regime of a madman. I fear that if our society doesn't wake up in time, we could be in for a crash course in authoritarianism (indeed, we may have already been the guinea pigs in that effort). Listening to your reading and watching I am also seeing trouble coming from Melania. She is looking for a way out that sill leave her with money. She has - in my feeling- really looked at him as a meal ticket and a way to be a mother but now the child’s grown she is even more fed up.
I haven’t looked into his health other than mental health, psychically speaking because I don’t like to directly wish ill health or worse on anyone- I just want justice and him out of the public life for good.

It seems likely that Nikki Haley is just circling, vulture-like waiting for him to go to prison or to keel over. I might be sympathetic to his plight, but he’s been profoundly cruel and cannot be allowed to continue harming innocent Americans.
