Ah that's rough! It's best to find out the cause. Limit water before bed time, see if that helps. If it's a young pup, it may just needs to learn to hold it. Wait a bit before taking your puppy out at night, and increase the delay each night. You can also consider indoor potty training (we have a video on it), it'll save you from having to wake up at night. Puppies should be able to hold it overnight once they are a bit older. Good luck!

Crate is a dangerous idea . What if a fire started ??? Plus - puppies should run free around the house for intense exercises young and week bones . Best all day long 😊 I mean they should be as free as possible .

      Thanks for the comment.
Crate training is recommended by pet experts to slowly introduce freedom in a manageable and safe way. During crate training, a parent MUST be present. Ideally by the end of the training, your puppy would enter the crate voluntarily, and you can keep the gate open at all times, Crate is very good for scheduling nap times, otherwise some puppies can go zoomies 😅.

Crates are recommended by professional dog trainers and are a great tool when introduced and used correctly. Crates get a bad reputation because some owners don't know how to use them properly (ex. using it for punshiment, introducing it too fast, giving up after the puppy cries for a while, etc). If you let you puppy have free reign of the home right off the bat; higher chance for potty accidents. them getting into something they shouldn't, etc. We can't watch our puppy 24/7; that is how separation anxiety starts developing too - hence why crates and ex-pens are a great tool (again, if introduced and used correctly). Set your puppy up for success by slowly giving them more access the home once they prove they can at settle in their crate and ex-pen area. We personally use the crate for our almost 2 year old pug only bed time and ex-pen when we have to leave the house and he is super chill in both c: We sadly don't have our pug sleep with us because he snores like a human and my fiancé must have absolute silence to stay asleep haha!
9000Lumen Bichon, you are doing great for your little puppy c:

@@babyangel278 I hope you will put your child into the crate rutin ( since that's such a marvelous invention ) ☹️

@@nikolnikol6460 Lol I've seen so many people say that as an argument but it is such a weak point with no substance behind it.
I treat my pug like my child and he is very well loved and behaved (many people in the public say this too). But at the very end of the day, a dog is very different from a HUMAN child.
My point still stands for crates being a great tool...again...IF.USED.CORRECTLY.AND.PROPERLY. I am also not saying owners who don't use crates for their dogs/puppies are bad owners. I just dislike it when people say crates are horrible things because they haven't done proper research on them and then spread false information or they read 1 or 2 articles about owners improperly using crates and then draw the conclusion they are horrible things.
You will find many good professional dog trainers and vets (you know... THE professionals) say that crates are very helpful tool for dogs.
