Hello Dr. Nitin - Thank you. That was very useful. I learned about multiple clipboards and I like the logical way you presented this. I was thinking also that perhaps using a bookmark would also work. Bookmark the first occurrence of customer name and then use subsequent fields that reference the bookmark (by name). Also when you add the document property, you refer to it as "adding a field" when perhaps "adding a property" would be more precise. Please forgive, this is just being picky. I think it's a great video and I have subscribed. Thank you.

@@efficiency365 Thank you Dr. Nitin. Very kind of you to note my comment. I was actually thinking further relative to my suggestion. It might be technically correct but in fact may be more prone to "user error" than the method you described. By the way, I noticed for the first time that some document properties (like "author" and "template") are also fields. Not all properties are like that. For example, "characters" requires to be used as a value with the field DOCPROPERTY to work correctly. I am curious why that is. I noticed this while thinking about your video, so thank you again. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos.

How can we replace one word with the field you created? There are 350+ occurrences of that one word. I want to replace it with the field so I can change its value dynamically.

Insert the field once. Select and copy it.
Then go to Advanced Find - Search for the text - Find In - Main Document
All instances will be selected. Now paste.

I have worked on documents created by others which allows you to edit the field anywhere in the text and all is then updated. It is due to a specific setting or type?

What are the benefits of using fields in this way as opposed to using legacy form fields and bookmarks?

Bookmarks are places within the document.
Legacy form fields are for data entry...
If you add three textbox fields, each will have separate data in it.
Fields are like variables.. I define the value in one place and use it in multiple places.

@efficiency365 That's not true. Legacy form fields can be linked with bookmarks and have date input in one place appear in multiple locations. They perform the same function only with legacy form fields the data is updated across the document upon pressing tab from the field.
So my question is what is the benefit to doing it the way you discussed as opposed to the way it's been done since the 90s?
Fields are simpler to use.
Many users don't even know how to enable the developer tab.
