Can think of a multitude of reasons. 1. Game has potential, it has combat and raid experience that almost no other game of its kind provides. It is pretty much unique in this matter. People know this and they stick with the game regardless of its numerous other issues, hoping that by providing constructive complaints, it will improve. 2. MMO as a genre has been in a dire state for many years, with few prospects of improving. The fact that the most played MMO's around are still the old ones, over a decade old, some going for their 2nd decade, pretty much shows that this genre is dead. It remains to be seen if it will get completely buried too. 3. Those who still play have invested too much time and resources ($$$) to easily quit. They entered in a sunk cost fallacy from which it takes far more pressure to quit. 4. Some people still have friends around with whom they can share their experience, thus making the negative elements of the current state of Lost Ark more bearable.
