Nice pickings Sorin . Steve Marriott was an incredible musician . Small Faces & Humble Pie are on my regular playlists . Thanks for posting 😎👌
Agreed! Small Faces and Humble Pie are my favorites as well! Thanks for watching ✌️
kaleidoscope tangerine dream - wow 🤩
An incredible album ✌☮
Nice jams way to work the wah pedal 🤘🏻Killer finds 🔥
I had to order the Kaleidoscope reissue from UK very cool
Take care Brian ☮️
Thanks man! Yeah, I had the Kaleidescope shipped from the UK as well. It was very worth it. ✌☮
you guys sound great! killer finds per usual
Thank you so much! ✌
Dude the beginning of this video was rad, love that shit.
Great scores too once again
Thanks man! Thanks for watching ✌️☮
Another great video, Sorin! Dillon from Noble Records recommended you and so I’ve been watching and listening to your reviews on these great albums! You’re doing a fine job at it and I would like to add that I appreciate the fact that you’re keeping it clean like Dillon does; no “F-bombs”. I have seen too many CZcamsrs who like to throw those in, which spoils the “family friendly” feel. Once these guys do that, they’ve lost me as a viewer! Keep up the good work and I will look forward to your next video.
Thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying my videos! I don't really use that language in my vocabulary anyways haha. ✌☮
Nice score all around, and hats off to meeting Vanilla Fudge! 😎🎶🎸Very cool...and those early Small Faces lps can't be beat.
Thank you! That was a really incredible experience! You can't beat the small faces with Steve Marriott. Incredible stuff. ✌☮
Something happened to me yesterday was the stones , and Keith in particular , writing about what the Fabs called ‘ The Dental Experience’. Heard in that light it makes a whole lot more sense. Great finds Sorin.
Interesting... What is "The Dental Experience" I'll have to think about that the next time I listen to it
It’s what the Beatles called their acid experience. They were first given acid by their dentist. Henceforth it became known as the dental experience. Keith is singing about dropping acid.
Ahh I figured. I'll keep that in mind next time I hear it.
Cool autographed poster, I didn't know Vanilla Fudge reunited, sounds like it was a great show. Nice copy of Kaleidoscope, I have a reissue of that from the 80s. After they recorded that album, they changed their name to Fairfield Parlour and released an amazing album titled From Home to Home, and it sounds very much like Kaleidoscope. Still looking for that Mick Farren LP, also his other solo album, Vampires Stole My Lunch Money. I really like the Deviants and Pink Fairies, Twink's solo album is also worth checking out. An amazing haul, thanks for sharing!
It was a great show! Fairfield Parlour has been on my wantlist for a while now. I'd love to find a copy! I've got all the Deviants and Pink Fairies in my wantlist as well. Think Pink is amazing! I'll have to check out Vampires Stole My Lunch Money. Thanks for watching ✌️
Curious about your Tangerine Dream! My local shop has one and its caught my eye, I need to check on the pressing first! But cool to see something familiar!
Buy it! That album is so hard to find on vinyl! The 2023 pressing sounds amazing.
Man there’s some great pick ups here Sorin! I love Carmine Appice and about everything he’s done including the Fudge, Cactus & his playing on Rod Stewart’s stuff! He’s a legend! Thats wild that they’re all deaf! Many years of playing blaring heavy rock will do that to ya! LoL!
I love that Bolex Dementia LP! I’m a fan of all things John DuCann played on but I really dig that Hard Stuff album! Mine has a diff really weird cover art.
I picked up that Phluph LP last year at Matt Sands store Gold Pan records and I dig it!
Man I would give anything to find a copy of that Kaleidoscope record! But damn I cannot even find a reissue that’s affordable! Man great find Sorin! I freaking love Sky Children! If you ever get sick of it you know who to reach out to Hahaha! Killer finds Sorin! ✨✌️👽✨
Thank you! He is an amazing drummer. The UK press of Bolex Dementia has different cover art I believe. I prefer the US tbh. I'd love to visit gold pan records one day. Kaleidoscope is impossible to get on vinyl. I paid a god chunk of money for this reissue, but I have no regrets! Its an amazing lp really. Thanks for watching ✌️
Amazing haul! That Mick Farren record is high on my wantlist. I recently scored an original copy of the Deviants Disposable record. So good! As always very enjoyable video! 👏🏻
I got very lucky with the Mick Farren lp. I'd love to get any of the original Deviants records. Thanks for watching ✌️
Been after an original Tangerine Dream since the early 90s. I still kick myself for not buying a mint copy about 12 years ago but it wasn't cheap, I think around £450. Of course I'd pay that in a heartbeat now for a mint copy. Well done on the Small Faces, superb lps. I paid £5 for a copy in the early 90s and then found one for 50p at the carboot in the 00s....those were the days 🙂. That's a great deal on the Mick Farren...I could do with a cleaner copy. Just recently completed my Deviants collection with Ptooff! Got it from a local dealer, wasn't cheap but it's a great copy with even the full poster sleeve in lovely shape. So yes, being in the UK has some advantages but I still don't own Fever Tree debut and I really want a copy. The few copies I've encountered here over the years have been either rough or overpriced. Last copy I looked at the dealer wanted £70! So this is the disadvantage of being in the UK and loving US psych...it's just so rare and expensive. As a buyer of psych you're in the best part of the world...honest 😉. Cheers Nige
Tangerine Dream is so damn desirable. I would love to own an original one day. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a cheaper copy. £450 is a lot of money for a record so I understand not buying that copy. Small Faces for that price is amazing! I'm so glad I could finally cross the UK press off of my list. I am very satisfied with my Mick Farren lp. I could upgrade, but I am content. Ptooff is great! I'd love a copy of it. The UK cover of that is much cooler than the US gatefold release. I've found 3 copies of fever tree and paid under $5 bucks for all of them. £70 is insane for that record. I'm in the US and loving UK psych, but a lot of UK psych has US releases anyways, so I'd have to agree being in the states is probably better for psych! Thanks for watching! ✌☮
Hey man. Nice seeing you. It's been a minute. Vanilla Fudge is a guilty pleasure of mine, they do many covers but make the songs their own. Very cool autographed poster. You can't really go wrong with The Stones. Both Hard Stuff lps are great because they are different. Top notch heaviness. Phluph is definitely one to own if you're into psych. Many of those Boss Town bands were great. Kaleidoscope is top of the psych mountain, both of their lps are outstanding and extremely rare and expensive. Good luck trying to land originals, I'm good with reissues. At times, I think I like The Small Faces and The Kinks better than The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Congrats on the Mick Farren score, I don't see that one a lot. Very cool. Kudos on the finds. Peace ✌ ☮ 🕊
Hey! My schedule freed up so I should be able to make more frequent content. Vanilla Fudge is great! They really pioneered heavy rock, I remember Ritchie Blackmore saying that Deep Purple wanted to be Vanilla Fudge in those days! Hard Stuff is great! I gotta give Bolex Dementia another listen. Kaleidoscope is incredible! I've been spinning Tangerine Dream like crazy! Now I need to get a reissue of Faintly Blowing. Maybe one day I'll own originals, when I get crazy enough to pay the price for them lol. The Small Faces and Kinks are some of my favorites. I think I prefer the Kinks to the Stones, but I'm such a huge Beatles fan. I got very luck with the Mick Farren lp, Shipping from the US as well! Thanks for watching! ✌☮
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful day ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you! You too ✌☮
Killer guitar at the beginning… what’s your band called? Loads of great finds there. I always think Between the Buttons is one of the Stones most underrated albums… funny you don’t like She Smiled Sweetly so much.. it’s my fav song on the album. It reminds me of the Royal Tannenbaums movie 😂 Not heard Hard Stuff before or Phlulph… both sound cool. Wow… what a find with the Kaleidoscope. I’d love a copy of that. I did a neo-psych video yesterday that featured an interesting collaboration with Peter Daltrey of Kaleidoscope, you should check it out. Enjoyed you video pal, liked & subbed, Jack
Thank you so much! We don't really have a name, and it technically isn't really a band. We all had to go our separate ways and that was our last gig. I do really enjoy between the buttons, I think I just find myself liking the more energetic songs on that album. I had to get the Kaleidescope when I realized there was a reissue. I'll check out your video when I get the chance! Thanks for watching ✌️
Check out "Follow the Sound" by The Dolly Rocker Movement, a contemporary psych band.
I'll check it out. Thank for the recommendation! ✌
are you the guitarist or the drummer? either way very nice.
I am the guitar player lol. Thank you! ✌
