Thank you SO much!!! Looked at your video and in like 10 seconds knew what to do. Went to the Ace Hardware store less than a mile from my home and back and had the thing fixed all before dinner was done!!! Didn't miss a beat thanks to you and we have a baby to take care of too who need a bath etc. so we didn't mess up his schedule! Super helpful! When I removed mine, I noticed the two small o-rings where the cartridge connects to the supply had worn quite a bit compared to the new one, and replacing the two rings solved the drip.
That worked good. Mine was very difficult to pry out but I got it.
I followed this and the inner metal ring on my 20 year faucet was stuck so I cranked it loose with a wrench but it turned the entire system and I broke 3 pipes behind the cartridge.... Luckily I turned off the water but now I'm sure this just 50 times more expensive to fix :( be careful out there y'all
Anyone know how to get the cartridge out if it stuck. I got that plastic grey piece off but when I pulled it out it didn’t come with the rest of the cartridge. It still in the pipe
Any help to try and get the metal ring off? Even tried a tongue and groove plier and won’t budge.
I replaced the cartridge and when I turn the main water back on, the tub pours water full blast even though the handle is turned off :(

Anyway, to fix one of these without an Allen key. The handle I have doesn’t have a hole for one.
What if my faucet is old? How will I find a cartridge or what to ask for at Home Depot? The plumber, just looking from the outside of the faucets, the bathroom sink ones too, says I need all new faucets. He says that about everything though. The garbage disposal was dripping so he said and did replace it. He recognized the garbage disposal cause he had replaced it a few years ago. When our dishwasher had problems, and I can’t remember what they were, he said Boshe dishwashers like that are electronic so I needed to replace it. Now… I’m wondering about these faucets… replace them? So confused and it’s expensive!
How disappointing. I was expecting you to use liquid nitrogen to freeze it. 🤣
