Luanda, the capital of Angola, is a port city on the west coast of Southern Africa. Most Angolans have flocked to Luanda in search for employment in the oil and manufacturing companies found there and since it is the capital of Angola it’s a place to be.
Once a place of conflict, Luanda has reinvented itself as a peaceful, stable modern city.

As a white dude in the US with a German background, I am perpetually fascinated with Africa. I absolutely love seeing cities develop anywhere--but for some reason, it is a little different with Africa. A continent so battered down by its history, it is amazing to see it finally standing up. I must admit that I am very saddened that China is taking advantage of the nations there and that often times the government does not represent the people, and I know that if America was involved, we would take advantage too. I wish so badly that people could get along, much of America loves you guys!
I am Swiss and love Africa. Of all the continents, Africa is the most beautiful. I lived in Joburg, Harare, Dar es Salaam and Kinshasa.I never had my best times in the cities, but staying with people in villages. That's where the heart of Africa beats. I remember standing in landscapes so beautiful, it looked like a movie or out of this world. Be proud of your nature, culture and heritage.

This is so cool, all of these cities have more skyscrapers than the small city of san Salvador where I was born. Unfortunately, on tv, we are only shown famine, aids, and dire poverty in Africa. It's good you expose the good side of Africa too.

Going to Africa to stay for one year. This time will try to visit Nairobi, Dar Es Salam and Capetown. 7 years ago, i visited Abidjan, a terrific city. Also loved Accra.

In terms of beauty, Cape Town's setting clearly wins it for me, that's really a lovely place to build a city... even if you build nothing but fancy buildings, you just can't compete with nature! it's just a pity that the location is so remote.
