    Gosh! There is a lot more involved in this than I could have ever imagined. I had heard about anatomy in art but I had no idea how much was considered in sculpting a bust, those speed builds, which I really enjoy and am amazed by, make it look so simple. Oh and thanks for putting 'Let's Get Physical' in my head, which I can't get rid of now :D

    • @AndyTanguay
      @AndyTanguay Před 2 lety +1

      @@rainbow_2225 it’s definitely a modeling clay. It all depends on what you like and feel comfortable with. If you’re talking about stop motion animation, I think a lot of those in modern stop motion like at Laika are some kind of foam over an armature. And if you’re talking about concept sculptures for animation, once again, that can be whatever feels right to you. I know Pixar had some artists that used Sculpey. At least years ago.

    This is a very well made video, I like how you sculpt the piece, and casually comment/explain things, and drop some lines here and there that are sort of a bit humorous. It is also a cool thing that you record voice over the silent footage instead of filming video and audio together. These 50 minutes are much easier to watch than a good lot of the 10-minute videos out there.
    And I like the sculpture itself of course, it is the reason I clicked on your video in the first place.
