Super Easy Clasp Frame Bag DIY | Metal clasp frame bag with piping | Step by step tutorial

Finally another clasp frame bag🥰 The finished size of the bag is W 20 cm, H 20 cm, D 10 cm.
The outer fabric for this bag is with fusible web on and therefore it looks very stiff. For this bag I didn't assemble a baseboard. So it's very easy to make.
This bag is so-called 3 pieces clasp frame bag. Because it's made of 3 pieces of fabric (3 pieces outside and inside respectively), 2 for the front and the back, 1 for the bottom and the sides.
The pattern is, therefore, different from the clasp frame bag that I used to make, which is made of 1 piece. In my next video I'll show you how to draw the pattern for this kind of bag. So subscribe me and keep watching.

This bag is a so-called 3-part clasp frame bag. Because it consists of 3 pieces of fabric (3 pieces for outside and inside, respectively), 2 for the front and back, 1 for the bottom and sides. So the pattern is different from the clasp frame bag I used to sew with only 1 piece of fabric. In my next video, I'll show you how to draw the pattern for this type of bag. So keep following. Thank you for this tutorial! I have a gorgeous sterling silver frame that I want to make into a purse (the original purse was literally falling apart when I bought it). Even though my final design will be much different than yours, I now know how to work with the frame to make my pattern.
Unrelated… I hope those are your reserved super-accurate paper cutting snips; I admit I was screaming internally to think someone was using their embroidery snips on edge-dulling paper. 🤗
Anyone who is wondering where to get these beautiful frames, check your local antique or thrift stores. Purses with these frames were very popular before the 1940s and you can find them in precious metals like sterling silver.
