I realized after editing and going through comments confirmed it but I didn't relay the fact that while the food was not up my ally, my daughter and I still had a wonderful time! We laughed and it was just the absolute BEST time we have had together in a very long time and I wouldn't go back and change it if I knew I wouldn't have liked the food. I will say the chef did introduce himself and he looked very young and not to steroetype but he didn't look like the chefs I watch on the Food Network, so it could have simply been he was new and maybe needs to refine some of the recipes OR it could also be that my pallet is not used to foods like that. I do eat simple cooking and those finger foods were in a different realm than I'm used to. I'm glad the food was not good, because it created the experience and the good time my daughter and I had if that makes sense. And that is priceless. I would eat bad food all day long to have a fun moment like that with her. in the end I don't think I would go to another Tea, but I do think I will have my own at home :)
please don't give up on doing a high tea. I think you might like it if you could find a brit-style tea room.

It is just called High Tea..usually between two and four pm. Not called High Noon.
And no one is looking at how you are stiring the tea or eating your scone. Unless you are a total pig which obviously you are not. I have been to tea more times than I can count. 😁

Ok...first I so hate you feel sick again and wish you a full recovery soon. Secondly...I have never done a "Tea Time", but feel like the egg dish left such a horrible taste in your mouth that you probably should have had a plalate cleaner. The taste of the egg was way to strong it seems to just get removed by your tea. I love wine and a palate cleanser is needed for wine. Lastly...since I know how it feels to be a "homebody", I challenge you to do a vlog once a month that has you going somewhere new, eating something new, or anything else that would have you going outside your normal. You game?
You look cute. The place is super nice. The food set up looks cool. Damn it sucks the food & tea were horrible. Make your own tea time at home with your daughter & share it with us.

Sorry you did not enjoy your high tea. I am sure great memories were made with your daughter despite the bad food. All high teas are not created equal. tfs
Such a shame you didn’t enjoy the tea, if I were to guess I would say maybe there where strong herbs involved why they do that I don’t know it overpowers everything. Even the textures didn’t look good, they say you eat with your eyes first maybe that would have been a good place to stop. I would be so interested to know what all was in the egg, get yourself well my lovely, the sooner you can move the better the air there is not good for you at all
