the media world was so different when i was starting out. to aspire to work in it meant; TV, Movie Theatre Movies or stuff for film festivals. Then i learned about Spike Jonze and Michel Gondry - they were just guys with great ideas and a camera. Seeing their work + their success really gave me confidence to chase after it. So wild to think that now with youtube we can all find that director or artist or creator that motivate us.. and we don't have to hope they release a dvd. we are living in really exciting times for this medium.

I love how what Spike is for Casey is what Casey is for so many of us! Casey I've been subscribed for a little under five years and the sporadic videos of the early days and then the daily vlogs have all inspired me not to only achieve in my filmmaking but your contagious work ethic inspires me to achieve to the highest degree in life. What's funny is that Casey is the new Spike Jonze for o lot of people of this generation. He literally changed the way we do vlogging with his unique style and shaped CZcams as a whole. I hope one day to be privileged enough to meet you Casey, I'll take a screen shot of this comment so I can show it to you in the future. Not only did you inspire me on starting vlogging, you also showed me the value of working hard for my dreams. Thank you for that.

Casey is so talented an has incredible work ethic. I think the fact that he had a kid at such a young age kept him grinding. Aside from that being in the heart of NYC as a backdrop for his videos and the energy there creates the perfect storm of creation. I'm glad I started watching his videos , they have breathed some new life into me.

I recently started watching Casey and I was immediately hooked to his videos. they're just so good. the editing is amazing and the content is wonderful! that's all great but the best part is seeing Candice and Casey together so happy, and Francine just taggin along. whenever I don't feel great, physically or emotionally, he just lifts me up. it would be incredible to someday meet him, but I can only dream of it😂😂😂

Casey honestly undersells Spike Jonze. That man is actually one of the greatest directors working today, and has made some of the most critically acclaimed movies in recent years. Movies like Her, Adaption and Being John Malkovich are so smart and unique. Jonze is a movie making god.

The level of organization and forethought to keep a copy of your letter to Spike and keep the reply is so impressive. Mt grandma is the only other person I know that has this level of organization (she has photo albums that go back to 1867!)

D3Gamma yeah when he first started vlogging tons of kids and fans would wait outside of his studio waiting for him to come out, and he was always in a rush and all the people would take up a ton of his time.
I was in the city last summer and I went by the studio, not to stalk him until he came out or anything crazy, a friend and I just wanted to see Beme headquarters and get dollar pizza. There were like fifteen kids and their parents outside yelling his name up at the windows over and over, it was insanely disrespectful and creepy. I'd be as insistent as he is if I were in his shoes, because that's kind of terrifying lol
